Hotel Tonic in Palermo

We had a reasonable stay in hotel tonic, and we have no major complaints. Our room seemed pretty small compared to the other rooms in the hotel, at least those that we were able to see whilst their doors were open and the rooms being cleaned. Good: Location - walking distance to harbour and the historic centre, served well by local buses, and the airport shuttle bus stops nearby. We were able to leave our bags in storage after checkout for a a few hours, and the chap who handled the checkout was very friendly. Breakfast was plentiful. Aircon was noisy but worked pretty well. Bad: It was good in theory to have a fridge in our room, but it was mouldy and it didn't work very well. I think it was only operational whilst the room was in use. The shower leaked all over the place, and so had very low pressure The website promises "cappuccinos and other hot drinks prepared on the spot at the table", but this was not offered. There was only a pot of black coffee in a pot in the buffet area. I booked through a third party website that I had not previously used before. I tried to contact the hotel directly on a couple of occasions in advance of the stay to double check the booking was confirmed, but they never bothered to get back to me. This caused unnecessary anxiety at the start of the trip!
