La Residenza Di Via Fontana in Lucca

What a hidden gem in the center of the walled city of Lucca! Reserving the room directly via email was smooth ….. every email was answered promptly and professionally. Silvia was engaging and helpful. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Tullio greeted us the next morning when we came down for breakfast, which was a diverse selection of meat and cheeses, breads and pastries, fruit and juices, and a nice selection of granola cereals. Bikes were available, and so were umbrellas, which unfortunately were needed when we took our walking tour of this charming town. Our stay was all too short, but we hope to return and stay here again on our next visit.

This hotel is more than you expect. More means everything you need for a good holiday. Quiet hotel, pleasant atmosphere , very good room (right price, right size, right comfort ), professional team with nice persons (sometimes you can not find these kind of persons to a 5 stars hotel) very careful with you, starting with breakfast and finishing with their recommendations and making reservations for restaurants. Good breakfast, very good location, near to places to visit and restaurants. Nice the little garden for breakfast. You can have ,during the day, free cakes and fruits. I didn't try but I've appreciated this kind of service. The most important thing is that this hotel can be a very good choice for a great holiday. "We will do our best to make your stay unforgettable!" they wrote before to arrive. And they did. Thanks a lot Micol, Alice and all the staff. Probably there are many good hotels in Lucca but for me Rezidenza di Via Fontana was perfect for my holiday and I recommend to everybody who appreciate the cozy hotel with a very good service. I had a little nice room with a little nice balcony. Perfect for me, enjoyed bella Lucca, enjoyed Italy!

We chose Residenza Di Via Fontana because of the good reviews and we would endorse what a lovely B&B it is. Ideally located in Lucca, clean, comfortable, accommodating and with such lovely staff. The breakfast is nice & simple, with all the usual fare, along with pastries, eggs cooked freshly to order and can be served inside or out in the garden. Thank you and well done.

Absolutely delightful small hotel! What makes it so special is the the two girls who give the warmest of welcomes and who go to great lengths to ensure a perfect experience…. Mikol and Alicia ( apologies if I haven’t spelt your names correctly). A huge thank you to you both for making us feel so relaxed. Also, a special mention for Dorina who keeps everywhere sparkling clean, and manages to smile constantly whilst doing so!
Staying here feels like home from … so nice to be able to have a snack in the lovely courtyard after a day walking around lovely Lucca.

A heart-felt welcome. Lovely friendly staff, nothing was too much. An excellent continental breakfast, eggs were offered each morning if you required something hot. Free bike hire to ride around the walls which was an added bonus. Lovely chocolate cake which we ate with coffee in the evening. Thank you for a lovely stay in Lucca. ❤️

We spent two days in Lucca, and chose this small Hotel, right in the center of the city, what a great decision!!, "Excellent service" led by Irene and her team, They recommended some amaizing restaurants to us, the rooms and breakfast were excellent, and left us some complimentary bikes..., don't forget to explore the wall with them..., If we return to Lucca, we will repeat for sure!!

Very nice small hotel inside the walls in Lucca. It is just 100 meters from the main shopping street but is quiet and comfortable. Nice breakfast. Nice courtyard. Staff is very helpful. We stayed three days in Lucca. Plenty to do in town. If you have a car, there are some interesting towns to visit. But driving in Lucca is an adventure. Hotel does have one parking space.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights. Lara and Helena are great hosts and we love the room, breakfast and the location in the heart of Lucca. We would definitely stay here on our next trip to Lucca.

A delightful little hotel right in the centre of Lucca. As close as you can get to the various piazza's and the main Piazza dell'Anfiteatro. Not only that, it is just around the corner from an entry ramp to the city walls. The hotel staff are the friendliest ever. The rooms are good sized and with air conditioning. The common areas are really tastefully decorated and the little garden terrace at the rear is a rarity in Lucca and a special place to have breakfast or just sit and enjoy some calm from the bustle of the city. The main shopping street is at the end of Via Fortuna too. Lucca train station is a 15 walk from where you can get to Pisa, Florence or, as we did, for a day at the beach at Viareggio. What more could you ask for? We are so pleased we found this hotel and stayed for a wonderful four nights in beautiful Lucca. We will be back.

We loved it so much! Thank you Lara for your good advice and perfect service .. we will come back. The rooms were nice and very clean. The breakfast was perfect, the car park was easy next to the hotel. Luca was one big dream.. Everybody spoke good English what makes it very easy ❤️ see you soon
