Where do I begin, this is a gem! The best part of our trip! And there were a lot of us. Luca is a wonderful host! Made us feel like family. We were sad to go. The ladies in the kitchen were a pleasure to know. Great food!! Great hospitality!! If we go back to Italy in the future this will be one our stays for sure! Ita a place to relax, chill! Dolce far niente!!

Incredible staff - so welcoming and friendly, they truly go above and beyond! The breakfast is simply amazing, with a variety of delicious options to start your day off right. The location is perfect too - just a short distance from all the must-see sights and charming cities. Highly recommend for an unforgettable stay!

Absolutely adored this place. The very essence of pure tranquility, the grounds are awesome, so lush, green and spacious. Great sized pool and comfy sunloungers that you're not battling for. On the edge of Lucca, its really easy to get into the centre (I'm told there is a direct bus but we drove in and parked outside of the wall). The apartment was so lovely, clean, fresh and cool. Great little kitchen area too. Beds were extremely comfortable and I don't think I've ever slept so well on a holiday! Breakfast is great, with a good selection (which varies daily) and the cooked eggs can be tailored to your preference (and the mushroom accompaniment is incredible). Breakfast is served in a bequtiful al fresco area under shelter. Some evenings there are set meals you could enjoy, which I would absolutely recommend. Marco and the team are absolutely incredible - so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Ottman in particular was a complete sweetheart. Always chirpy and chatty. He helped us get the bikes set up to go out for a lovely bike ride in the local area (which I recommend).

Only negatives were the terrace for our apartment could do with a freshen up, but it was nice nonetheless. Also, I'm very fussy when it comes to coffee so would always prefer a proper coffee rather than a pod type which was in the appartment. Having said that, moka coffee was available at breakfast, so it was fine!

Wow what a place! We had the most relaxing time at ai santinelli, the location is perfect being in a village but still very much feeling like you’re in the hills. The pool area is so beautiful and we enjoyed grabbing drinks from the honesty fridge.
Nico the chef is an absolute legend, his food was just incredible, we really miss the fresh omelettes in the morning with basil from the garden!
Marco was also super helpful in recommending places to see or eat at (bimbotto was our favourite restaurant!), and also explained about the amazing tap water - it really is the best we’ve ever tasted!
We loved how welcoming and homely it was, and hope to come back one day.
