Stayed for one night at the tango hotel after a problem with our reservation at a different hotel.. The owners were wonderful. Met us at the other hotel to escort us to their hotel. They recommended a wonderful restaurant that the locals eat at. Our room was very comfortable. The bed was amazing. Had the best sleep of our vacation so far!! Easy walk to the walked city. Free parking on site. The recently renovated building retained the historic charm. Will stay there again. My parents were traveling with us. Their room was also lovely.

We last visited Lucca six years ago, and we returned this year to find Tangohotel better than ever. The third floor patio has been completed, and it is modern, functional, and comfortable, with a view up Via della Formica of the cathedral tower. Tangohotel is a sturdy, very clean, and well-maintained alternative to pricey conventional hotels, and we would never consider staying anywhere else in Lucca. The owners are welcoming and helpful. The location is perfect for us: a ten-minute walk to the city walls in one direction, and a ten-minute walk to a self-service laundry and the largest supermarket in town (Esselunga) in the other direction. The prices are modest and the quality of the accommodations are high.

We arrived at the hotel very early and they were very accommodating. We had several correspondence with the hotel prior to arrival and always got a very prompt response. The hotel is simple clean and tidy, which is all we needed. It is located approximately 10 minutes walk from the main town of lucca. We didn’t inquire about breakfast and just waited that we got to Town to eat but we were informed of a coffee machine which we were free to use whenever we wanted. The hotel had a seal of an Airbnb which we had no issues with. The Aircon in the room worked very well and considering it was August kept us very cool. If I was visiting the area again, I would stay at this location. It’s a simple hotel for a very reasonable price

Warm welcome, helpful staff, attentive to customers, a big thank you to them. Beautifully decorated room. Very pleasant night in very decent bedding. The bathroom was large, allowing easy movement and access to the furniture was convenient.

If you are visiting Lucca for the LSF summer festival this is a great find. Just a 10 minute walk to the big stadium and 15 to the one in the square. The rooms are quite small but really well equipped with air conditioning and the hosts could not have done more to make us feel at home. They even extended check out to help us with post Blur recovery!!

Very nice hotel, the building is lovely renovated and everything is functionnal. The owners are very nice and accomodating and the price is reasonable. It is not too far from the city center of Lucca but conveniently situated and close to the station. We used the hotel as a base camp for a 3 day trip around Tuscany and we really appreciated it.

Very cute hotel with lovely rooms just a few minutes walk from the city center. Jesus and his wife were absolutely wonderful hosts and did everything to make us feel at home in Lucca. We truly appreciated their recommendations and kindness and look forward to going back to Lucca to see them!

Very nice hotel run by a really lovely couple! The rooms are full of Tuscan charm and very comfortable (with good AC if you visit during a heatwave). There’s a cute rooftop terrace and a great gelateria around the corner. The location is also fantastic less than 10 minutes to the Lucca train station and the inner city walls. Great value and would definitely stay again!

This Hotel is awesome from the start of our arrival. just 10 minutes waking distance to the old center of Lucca. You are in the heard of the Tuscany. 30 min to the beaches, 45 min to Pisa and 45 min to Florence by car.
The hotel is very old style , but modern renovated and lovely owner with all the details to make it worth to stay there. We stayed 7 days there and we enjoyed the stay there.

Could not be happier with our time at the TangoHotel. The owners are great and very helpful. They have done a wonderful renovation of an old rustic 1400s building. Wonderful exposed rock and beams in the rooms. For the price you can not beat this place. Easy walking distance to train station and old Lucca. Also to some good local restaurants just outside the tourist area.
