Agriturismo Ristorante Monte Argentario in Monte Argentario

We stayed one night at Agriturismo Monte Argentario and found it to be a truly special place – a rare chance to experience authentic Italian countryside living. Nestled just outside Porto Ercole, the property offers a peaceful, rustic setting that feels welcoming from the moment you arrive.

One of the most delightful aspects was the presence of dogs on the farm, adding charm and personality to the environment. It’s not just a stay – it’s a living, breathing farm experience, with outdoor spaces and small activities that make you feel connected to nature and rural life.

The service was warm and personal. Although we arrived late, everything was handled smoothly. Our room was simple and clean, with access to a pleasant outdoor area. Breakfast was fresh and enjoyable, though modest in variety.

There’s clear potential to elevate the experience with a few thoughtful improvements. The beds were unfortunately very uncomfortable, and the rooms lacked soundproofing – we were kept awake by a neighboring couple arguing into the night. Wi-Fi didn’t work, which made planning onward travel more difficult.

The room decor is functional but dated. With just a bit of effort – like adding natural textiles, ambient lighting, and eco-chic touches – the atmosphere could be enhanced while still honoring the simplicity of a farmhouse stay.

Still, none of these issues take away from the magic of being on a real working farm, surrounded by animals, nature, and heartfelt hospitality. We would absolutely return – ideally for more than one night – to fully enjoy the atmosphere and the rhythm of the countryside.

Great Location in Argentario, one can get very fast everywhere, much better than Ancedonia. Great Personal very friendly and allways ready to help with information. The Personal are like "family" after a couple of days, and they go along with my excentric humor!! Great Restaurant... good "Agri-Breakfast". The Rooms were really bigggg! :-)
