We stayed at Agriturismo Humile for three nights in early November, and it was the high point of our two-week trip to Italy. At Humile, we were surrounded by beauty – – including the meticulously restored farmhouse, the stunning long view over valleys and hills, the olive grove, and the sparkling glass greenhouse where an unbelievable selection of freshly baked breakfast items was served each morning. Capping all of this is the genuine warmth of the hosts, Tommaso and his parents, Andrea and Rosanna. This family have a genius for hospitality that makes staying at Humile a rare, one-of-a-kind experience. Our hosts helped us with advice about places to visit, driving routes, and restaurants. They even went out of their way to contact a local indoor pool to find out when the best time would be to swim laps. Our interactions with them always felt friendly, relaxed, and unrushed. And by the time we left, they felt like friends that we hoped to see again.

This place is beautiful, quiet and comfortable. We even had a foot bath in our room. There was an amazing array of breakfast choices and they produce great wine. However, I am writing about our hosts. Our rental car died just as we drove in the second day. Tomas helped my husband deal with the roadside service and the rental company. Rosana insisted on driving my husband to find an open pharmacy since it was a holiday and most were closed. He needed cold medication. When our car was hauled away and it became clear we were going nowhere, they lit a fire in the breakfast room, set a table for us and went into town to get delicious pizza for us. They tried to talk us into staying but we couldn't get a new rental car the next day as it was a Sunday and without a car we could go nowhere and didn't want to impose anymore on them so Tomas called us a taxi to get us to the train station 30 minutes away. I would go back in a heartbeat!

We've stayed in countless accommodations all over the world – in Igloos in Iceland, luxury hotels in Cape Town or Tree Houses in Costa Rica. But not a single one of them comes close to Agriturismo Humile! Tommaso and his parents Rosanna and Andrea are incredibly warm and attentive hosts, without ever being intrusive or overly formal. You can just truly feel how much love and passion they pour into their agriturismo and the well-being of their guests. They welcomed us like family and covered our every needs. This also shows in every corner of the place: the spacious rooms are beautifully decorated with great attention to detail, and no comfort has been spared. The bed is large, endlessly comfortable, and even equipped with ergonomic pillows. The rooms can be completely darkened (a rare find in Italy), and together with the remote location, we had the most peaceful nights of our entire trip here. The pool as well as the seating area is spotless clean and the entire property is immaculately maintained. It also offers breathtaking views of the valley. And then the breakfast, it absolutely blew us away! There's freshly prepared, local food, delicious tea, pastries, pecorino, charcuterie, eggs – everything your heart could possibly desire is served. Andrea also welcomed us with fresh apple juice with bergamot, which was refreshingly delicious. They also provide loads of recommendations for activities, restaurants and wineries in the area. We couldn't be more grateful we found this gem in the beautiful Val d'Orcia. Leaving the place and these wonderful people was hard. We'll come back!

This family-run agriturismo was truly the perfect place for our honeymoon in Tuscany. Rosanna, Andrea, and Tommaso treated us like family the entire trip, offering so much advice and preparing delicious regional foods for us every morning. The agriturismo itself is also in a very convenient location, 15 minutes from Montepulciano. Would highly recommend!

Such gracious hospitality in a beautiful location! Our room was spacious and lovely, breakfasts were delicious and our hosts were always available to answer questions and suggest excursions. Their own production of balsamic vinegar and olive oil is excellent. We highly recommend!

Very rarely do we consider a stay "an experience", but that is exactly what we got. We were greeted at the car by Tommaso, who helped with our bags while we got registered. We were then led to our room (Lunasiccio), and then given a tour of the grounds. We immediately took advantage of the swimming pool overlooking the amazing Tuscan view. Our room was extremely comfortable, and the bedroom was air conditioned, which made for a good night's sleep. The next morning, we woke up to an amazing breakfast buffet, with Tommaso describing everything in detail. We had 1 of everything! It was all so delicious, and each of our 4 mornings was a different spread. The thing that I take away most from our visit was the outstanding hospitality. We were very much made to feel right at home during our stay. We will most definitely visit again and again. The next best thing was the view- it is beautiful no matter which direction you look, and Chianciano is an adorable and welcoming little town.

It is so rare to go somewhere and have it exceed your expectations, but this place does. It is even more beautiful than the photos. Tommaso and his family are kind and generous and very helpful, we loved getting to know them. The breakfast each day was incredible, the pool was spotless and the home was incredibly clean, cute and perfect for our honeymoon. The towns nearby are so fun to explore and Tommaso has a guide you can use for places to go and restaurants to eat at. We didn't want to leave and will definitely be going back. Highly recommend!

We stayed in the Lunaspicchio suite. Beautifully decorated, with all you could need for a comfortable stay. After two and a half weeks of fast paced touring, this was the perfect place to relax for four days. The attention to detail here on the farm is amazing. The breakfast venue, and the food were perfect. Not to mention our hosts, who made you feel like part of the family. Our stay here was perfection to end our time in Italy.

Even better than the pictures. This place is incredible. The design of the whole property is absolutely beautiful, from the rooms to the olive groves. Breakfast every day was 10 out of 10 - definitely one of our favorite parts of the stay (Don't skip Rosana's Ethiopian Herbal Tea or her scrambled eggs made with their farm's chicken eggs!). After a lot of moving around, this place was the perfect way to end out our Italy experience for 4 nights. Tommaso and his parents Andrea and Rosana were the best part of the stay. They are lovely people that immediately treated us like family but were also great about giving us space and privacy. In the land of wine, it was nice to break it up by trying some of the local beer offered by the family. We made sure to leave with several bottles of their Olive Oil, which they produce on the property, as well as Balsamico the family makes on their other farm in Modena. For more local gifts to bring home, Andrea told us about a local store/enoteca in neighboring Chianciano called Bradi Toscani. We got snacks/dinner, tasted wine, and loaded up on local honey, Amari, and grappa for family gifts. In short, if you're considering booking, just do it. This place will be a highlight of your trip.
