Poggio Borgoni is a gem in Tuscany! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like friends. Our room was a good size; we had a king bed, with a view of the pool and countryside, a private bathroom with shower and the windows opened which was awesome in October to let the cool breeze in. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. The dining experience is exquisite. The breakfast is different day to day, but basics are always available. The restaurant staff was very attentive and friendly. You need to make reservations for dinner (they always prioritize guests) and the food is exceptional. From the appetizers to the desserts; you will be impressed. is very attentive. Their wine was excellent. The surroundings are so quiet and peaceful. We had a car so the trip from Florence was easy and only took about 20 mins. One day, we drove to Sienna (about 35 mins) to visit and have lunch. We returned by the wine route which was beautiful. I cannot say enough about this Relais. Don't hesitate to book it for your stay in the Tuscany-Chianti area, you will find beauty, tranquility and easy access to many.

This is a very authentic Tuscany experience. The bed was large and comfortable and so was our entire room, an updated farmhouse type building. Very clean and with all the amenities. The food for breakfast was freshly prepared and excellent. The dining in the evening was absolutely wonderful. This place has a quaint rustic feel. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We loved staying at the Relais so we could drive to wineries and also San Gimignano. Highly recommend!!

Thank you for a truly magical and fantastic vacation! We stayed for 7 nights and enjoyed every moment. The view of the Tuscan countryside is truly stunning and made us completely relaxed. We had an amazing wine tasting experience hosted by Eleonora. You can really feel how passionate they are about the place and their wines. They make some fantastic red wine, of which we of course ordered 12 bottles for delivery at home. All the staff have been very kind and helpful. Special thanks to Claudia for the fantastic evenings in the restaurant, to Eleonora for a fantastic wine tasting and to Katia and Francesco for always being very kind and helpful at the reception. We are really looking forward to coming back someday!

I want to be sure to call out the place that mom and I stayed during our trip to Tuscany. This was the perfect base for us to stay. They have a restaurant on site and breakfast was included. Barbara took care of us in the mornings, Francesco made sure we had everything we needed during the day (the best parking, where to go, and even brought me a bottle of Persecco and chips down by the pool). Claudia is the best hostess for dinner. She absolutely goes out of her way to make sure your dinning experience exceptional. I have only named a few of the staff who made our trip amazing. They are all top notch including the house pup Fosco. If you are around Florence be sure to pay a visit for dinner or stop and stay a few days. It is time very well spent!
The rooms are clean and comfortable. Pool was beautiful and refreshing after a long day of sightseeing. Free parking on site.

Very disappointing: the room has mold (I have asthma, so it was a real challenge), the AC did not work properly, breakfast is far from “excellent”, the restaurant is open only for dinner, except Wednesdays, when it is closed. You cannot eat there unless the owner (very rude person) allows you, otherwise you have to drive somewhere else or fast. The pool is dirty (see photos), during our 6 days stay it was never cleaned. We left as soon as we managed to find another option. Don’t recommend.

Wow! We spent 5 days at this amazing place. All the staff are genuinely so friendly and make you feel so welcome and at ease from the moment you arrive. The views are beautiful and you really are blown away but the fabulous setting. We were warmly welcomed by Francesco who showed us to our room. We stayed in a superior room (4) this was a lovely room, with a nice bathroom. There is good aircon and a mini bar. (The room is made up daily) We headed straight to the terrace and had a few drinks and soaked up the Tuscan sun and view. The views really are great! The pool is a great size and you can enjoy the peace and quiet there. The restaurant!!! 5 star food and 5 star service. The chefs will cook truly lovely food with fresh local produce to a really high standard. Every meal we had was gorgeous. Now, the true gem of this place for us was Claudia, she looked after us each night and made our stay extra special with her warmth and kindness. She is amazing!!! And she introduced me to Grappa thank you Claudia. Breakfast, fab! Looked after so well by the lovely lady who makes the best coffee! Amazing view from the terrace if the weather allows. Honestly I cannot fault the Poggio Borgoni at all. We were looked after so well and made to feel at ease and welcome. The food and wine is brilliant and service is great. We will be back. We are so grateful to everyone at the Poggio for an amazing stay. Thank you.
