The stroller I travel with for my baby was ruined by this hotel. This stroller has been to 30 countries and many 20 states in the USA. At only 500 meters altitude near Pistoia lies the village (hamlet) Castagno. The way up is already an adventure, with beautiful chestnut trees and hairpin bends. If you pay attention you might see a deer or a fox.. (we do..) Once at the top we were welcomed by the sweet Giulia and her mother. Not only a swimming pool, but also a beautiful terraced lawn where you can relax in the shade of the chestnut trees. The train station is very convenient, on the Porretta Pistoia line, one of the most evocative in Italy.

An idyllic holiday spot. The holiday home has a beautiful terrace with a view of the surrounding mountains. The house is well equipped, especially the kitchen and is tastefully decorated. A very welcoming property, the owners are truly kind. We were impressed by how much attention they pay to their guests. The room was spotless and equipped with amenities not found even in luxury hotels. The hotel is located very close to the highway exit, making it convenient even if you don't want to stay in a touristy city like Florence.

Arriving after a day on our motorbikes, we appreciated the owner's helpfulness. After stashing our bikes in the adjacent pool enclosure, we went to our room. It was spotless and tidy. After a wonderful night's sleep, we had breakfast.

The unit we rented was an apartment style with one bedroom and sofa bed. That part of the hotel was brand new and beautifully done. Very quiet and dark in the evening. Very close drive to go up into the hills where there are little villages and many olive trees! Pistoia is a cute old town, which was a 10 min drive from the hotel.

Fair price for what you get. Off the beaten path, older hotel. We stayed in a 3 person room which was larger than others, breakfast was included and quiet good. Very very characteristic farmhouse located just outside Pistoia (5 minutes by car). Clean and comfortable rooms, we are in a farmhouse, don't expect an extra luxury resort. Swimming pool but in general a garden environment worthy of the latter and above all sensational cuisine (it is no coincidence that Michelin star in 2020). The breakfast was excellent. From the moment I entered the hotel, the staff was very attentive. I really appreciated both the warm welcome at the reception and the polite and lovely attitude of the service staff. Both the common areas and the room were very clean. The location is great, nearby restaurants and shops. The hotel is really noisy, the doors of the rooms closes so hard that you wake up when someone leaves his room. Also a lot of noise from outside. The cleaning could be better. When we're arrived our room wasn't cleaned but they've gave us an other room and apologies for the mistake.

The reception area and maid service was excellent. The hotel is air conditioned but if you open your balcony door make sure it is closed properly, as it is tied to the AC. If open, the AC won't work.
