Hotel Michelangelo & Day SPA in Montecatini-Terme

Stayed in this hotel Oct '25 for one week. Hotel was spotlessly clean, lovely comfortable & warm rooms. Housekeeping in every day, fresh towels & sheets, rooms cleaned every single day. The staff in this hotel are wonderful, friendly, warm & very helpful. There is a policy in this hotel that your drinks etc are charged to your room and paid for just before leaving, it's worth noting you can request your balance every day if you want to keep track of spending, a few people in the group had some items billed that were not their's but in fairness they were dealt with efficiently and without any hassle. The food on the hotel was very hit & miss, hence the 4* rating on this review. Some nights it was good others dreadful. Such a pity as this is the only thing let's this hotel down! Within a ten to fifteen walk of the town and close by The Funicular. Do not expect to be able to book a taxi or even get one back from town to hotel, for some reason taxi's are almost non existent. Overall I would recommend a stay in this hotel, just be prepared to eat out. I will add a photo of the Tiramisu for desert one of the evenings.

The hotel is excellent 👌, staff are very friendly and the breakfast is amazing 👏 The view from balcony is fantastic. I recommend it

Breakfast: Great selection at breakfast, but, an option of an omelette or porridge would be nice. No need for chocolate rice crispies. We ran out of granola one morning, but, we were later told that there was a supply “out back”. The fruit juice machine produces poor quality juice. Fresh fruit salad, when available was excellent. The salads for the evening meal were excellent. But, main courses while very tasty and high quality, were very low in quantity with few vegetables e.g. a bowl of vegetables per table. Some guests chose to eat dinner in other restaurants. A coffee/tea option after dessert would be nice. The price of water €2.50 per 500ml was exorbitant, including in the poorly stocked mini-bar, necessitating guests to purchase water elsewhere! A kettle with necessary requirements to make tea, or, coffee in the room would have been a great addition, since no coffee/tea is available after dinner, and is a standard expectation In hotels now, especially, 3, 4 and 5 star. Desserts were very good. Staff were very pleasant. Having to sit at the same table with the same guests is juvenile, unnecessary and too restrictive today and not fitting for a hotel as good as yours. We were very lucky with our companions at our table. Other people weren’t! Overall, though a good hotel, with cleanliness and friendly and professional staff two of the standouts

Nice hotel with great location in a quiet area. Close to the cable car to Motecetini Alto Clean and nice and friendly staff

From the minute we arrived staff were very accommodating and courteous. Hotel had a great location even had perfect parking. A/C in the room was great even though we were there during the heatwave. Everything was excellent breakfast, dinner and the room itself including the view we had from the balcony. Will definitely come back.

For 5 days I visited towns in Tuscany : Florence, Pisa, Siena,Cinque Terre. It was five wonderful days, in which we admired the beauties, the monuments and the history of Tuscany.And the city where the hotel is located delighted us.We will definitely come back.

An excellent hotel Lots of choices for breakfast with freshly made bread, cheeses, fresh fruit and pastries/sweet dishes. The bedrooms are very comfortable, air conditioned and with a large balcony. The outdoor space is ample with plenty of comfortable seating with umbrellas. Towels are provided for the pool.

The rooms were great. We had both breakfast and lunch in the dining room. Probably the best breakfast buffet in any hotel I've ever visited. The food was great. The location was great. The staff was great. I especially want to thank the extremely helpful and accommodating staff. They were especially helpful getting us transportation to the Florence airport.
