Mixed feelings.
Host Marco is great, friendly and helpful. I'd give him 5 stars if there weren't issue with the property.
Room information on ******* said room has TV but didn't. It also says it has air-conditioning but was told no no during October so not happy about having to open windows for air as the noise affected the quality of sleep.

Casa Baseggio was a fab find away from the hustle and bustle of Venice. Everything was within easy distance and a seven minute walk after getting off the vaperetto from the Airport. . The B & B was in a lovely old courtyard just off a quiet canal. Everything was as described, bed was comfortable and there was a kettle for making tea or coffee. A generous breakfast was served outdoor on a patio overlooked by the greenery of the walled garden next door. Our hosts, Marco and Alessandra, were so welcoming and helpful and their restaurant suggestions were spot on. Will be back.

This is a lovely place to stay in Venice. The location is gorgeous - just 10 minutes from the main sites but in a really quiet area on a small canal. It is only 5 minutes to lots of restaurants and amazing wine bars but away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas. The actual B&B is situated in a historic building and although the room is quite old fashioned, it is very clean and comfortable and includes everything you could need. The breakfast was on a really quaint terrace overlooking some gardens and we had a really good good selection of food and great coffee! Unfortunately when we visited Marco, the owner was away but his friends were looking after us. They were really hospitable and gave us lots of really good recommendations for places to visit and restaurants. All in all it almost felt like staying with friends and it was a great experience. Thank you - we had a wonderful stay with you!

An outstanding place to stay
Staying here with the delightful owners was the highlight of my trip. I was alone so having friendly and helpful people who cared about my experience made for wonderful memories.

Marco and his wife were superb hosts and even gave us tips on where to dine in the neighborhood. Breakfast was lovely on their patio with birds chirping in the background. We appreciated being able to leave our bags on departure day and pick them up later before boarding a cruise ship. Wi-fi is a bit spotty but we were able to connect in the hallway for when we needed it. Would definitely stay here again.

Casa Baseggio is an oasis of peace in the bustle of Venice. Everything is exactly as represented in the listing. Our room looked out onto a leafy courtyard, set back from a quiet canal. The bed was comfortable, and there was a kettle for making tea or coffee. A generous breakfast was served outdoor on a patio overlooked by the greenery of the walled garden next door. Our hosts, Marco and Alessandra, were welcoming, knowledgeable and kind. There are lots of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance, and the vaporetto is also close by. A real find.

Firstly I am super shocked at how good the reviews are for this place. We didn’t have a good experience and found a blood filled bug in the shower basin. When we arrived we had a very brief welcome from Marco, who seemed to be in a rush to go and do something else. We were told to be conservative with the AC although the AC was not working anyway. There was no TV as described and shown in the photos. There is a none stop sound of birds in the courtyard that could keep you up at night - we didn’t stay to risk it. Overall we found the place unhygienic, the draws were not empty (shoe string in draw) plus stains in the draws (no way I was unpacking and keeping my clothes in there). The room was unclean with an old, dusty smell that hit you as soon as you walked in, overall a creepy unpleasant place. We left and found a nearly place (which was amazing). When we explained why we didn’t want to stay Marco was rude and unprofessional both on the phone and over message. He used a lot of exclamation marks!!!!!! in his replies and made snarky comments to us, he just kept messaging us when we had made it clear that we did not want to stay. We felt quite threatened and anxious about the situation. I explained that we didn’t feel comfortable staying after we found a blood filled bug that looked as though it could be a bed bug. To be safe and feel comfortable we made the decision to book at another hotel nearby. We were glad we made this decision as our experience of Venice would have been massively different. Please just be aware of this place, we were not given any compensation or a refund following our complaint but we are 100% glad that we did not stay at B&B Casa Baseggio.

Our hosts, Marco and Alessandra, were most welcoming. Our accommodations were very comfortable and I especially appreciated the wonderful fitted pillows in our bed. The terrace on which breakfast is served is a veritable corner of paradise! The breakfast was perfect for both my husband and I; personally, it was a pleasure to be totally accommodated for my Cœliaque/gluten-free needs: absolutely wonderful! i had gluten-free toasts, variety of fruits, a soft boiled egg, juice and many other items and accompaniments were available. Personally, we found the price reasonable for the accommodations and we would not hesitate to return!

This B & B is outstanding, a little Oasis of peace and calm in busy Venice. Set back from the canal by a courtyard (gate locked at night) it is well away from the busy canalside walkway. The accommodation is well appointed and kept very clean. A splendid breakfast is provided on a terrace overlooking a private garden and arrangements can be made for an alternative if an early start is required. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and a Despar supermarket in a splendid former theatre complete with frescoes (!) Is within walking distance, as is the Vaperetto stop with only one bridge to cross. But the best thing are your hosts, Marco and Alessandra who will offer any help and advice during your visit. When you leave it is more like saying goodbye to friends. In summary - Highly recommended.
