Staff were friendly, rooms weren’t clean - but were tidy. Our room had a lot of dust around all the light fittings, mould in the corners of the ceilings and generally old decor. Fridge in the room was plugged in and on but wasn’t not actually keeping anything cold. Air conditioning does not work properly either - it only pumps out hot heat despite being on cold. Show screen not properly fitted so a constant gap between the screen and bath meant having a shower resulted in the bathroom floor getting pooled with water.

Good location, nice staff and ok rooms.

The room was spacious and the heating worked very well. The key was unique, but the facilities were a bit old. The shower curtain didn't really keep the water in, so the bathroom floor got very wet. The courtyard next to the room was quite nice. Room 509 is actually on the ground floor. I also got bitten by mosquitoes at night, but luckily I managed to kill them quickly.

The front desk had a peculiar process: when I checked in, they asked for my credit card to register the number. The next day when I checked out, I inquired about it and was told it was to prevent guests from forgetting to pay city taxes or other fees after leaving. They also assured me that the card information would be deleted later and not to worry.

Unfortunately, this was a very poor and unpleasant stay.

Everything felt overcrowded and poorly managed. We even struggled to heat our food, there were no facilities available for guests to warm meals, and the hotel staff refused to help in any way. It felt like they preferred to let guests stay hungry rather than offer any flexibility or care.

When we arrived exhausted, we were met by very cold, unfriendly, and unhelpful staff. There was no attempt to make us feel welcome or comfortable. Instead, they rigidly insisted on hotel policy and made it very clear that early check-in was absolutely not an option, without any empathy.

The hotel itself was old, dirty, and poorly maintained. Many items in the room were broken or worn out, to the point that it felt unhygienic and unpleasant. There were no basic amenities, not even tissues in the room (only toilet paper). If you wanted hot water for tea, you had to request it from the ground-floor bar.

The beds were extremely uncomfortable and worn. The “double bed” was made of two single beds pushed together that constantly separated. The mattresses were old, springy, and deeply sunken, which resulted in back pain during our stay.

There was no electric kettle, no cups, and no sense that guest comfort mattered at all.

Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel if you’re looking for a comfortable, relaxing, or enjoyable stay.

Great location and friendly staff. Loved the eccentric Venice vibe of the hotel. Could do with a kettle with tea/coffee in room.

I booked 2 nights in a suite and one night in standard double room,

First night in the suite i found there is no drinking water provided (unless paid), no kettle, no coffee, weak water in bathroom and even when i asked reception for a dental kit and he replied: “This is a thing you should get with you” then he provided it, i dont have my brush since my bag was stolen in train since italy full of thieves, but anyways its not a way a respectful hotel would reply to a guest with a suite booking.

Anyways after i complained and finished my 2 nights, it was the time to shift to the standard room,

Room is terribly small, zero isolation we had full night listening to a party next to us annoying our sleep, whenever a door closes in our floor our door wibbles and scares us, and on top of all that, we got the bed cover FULL OF HAIR, and toilet papers has strange dots and we were so afraid that it might be someone injected something in it. Terrible experience

The room was nice and warm in winter, but overall it wasn't very clean and felt quite dated. There was only one staff member at check-in, and they were constantly on the phone. This individual was incredibly arrogant and lacked any semblance of customer service. I've never waited over ten minutes to check into a hotel before.

The hotel is located in a good area, which makes it convenient to get around, and the staff was responsive whenever we called, which we appreciated. Overall, the stay was comfortable.
However, there are a few points that could be improved. Drinking water and cold drinks were chargeable, which was a bit disappointing. For a couple, only two towels were provided—there were no face towels. Additionally, the bed linens were not very clean, and there was an unpleasant smell coming from the pillows.
On a positive note, the bathroom and bathtub were clean, but the bathtub was quite small and may not be comfortable for someone with a bulky build.
With some improvements in cleanliness and basic amenities, the experience could be much better.

A very classic hotel! The rooms are opened with actual keys, and the hotel itself is quite spacious. The heating works wonderfully in winter, and the staff are very friendly. You can even buy vaporetto tickets at the front desk.
