good stay with traditional rooms (including some nice murano glass), and great location. The locanda is on a very quiet calle, a few steps away from Strada Nova (main connection between the raiway station and Rialto bridge) but also a few minutes away from the public boat stop from the airport (Fondamenta Nove), making it super-convenient to just get off the plane, get on the boat, and reach the hotel! similarly, optimal time-to-airport on departure.

Unreliable. Cancels the reservation 2 days before the trip. No solutions, no alternative offers. Flight tickets and the hotel were booked long ago, and we were simply told it was overbooked. No guarantee that even if you check in, you will actually get a room. Unprofessional.

Excellent value for money, the rooms were spacious, impeccable state and top location. The lady was ever so helpful and lent us umbrellas for the rain. Highly recommended

A really nice hotel were we stayed for 4 nights in june. Really quiet and a good bed and shower. Very friendly staff. You can leave you bags before and after checking in/out. Only strange thing IS that there IS no staff in the afternoon and at night. Location IS superb as san marco square/Rialto IS within 15 minutes.

There are much better options than this establishment. We showed up to find our card was declined and we didn’t have a room. There was no communication that our card was declined. Most hotels we stayed at on this trip didn’t charge our card until we arrived. There was no one at the front desk to help. The man who answered the phone was unapologetic and rude to my wife. Our room had no refrigerator, broken AC, broken blinds, etc. Zero customer service. Look elsewhere

Poorly handled double booking

Let’s start with positives: the hotel looks nice inside and has decent location. Negatives - it’s poorly run, the manager is dishonest and tried extorting money from us. They double booked us (instead of the King suite with a balcony that we booked for our group, they gave us a double room with no balcony), the price difference between both rooms was about $200; yet they expected we will pay the full price for the room we didn’t get just because they gave us a bottle of cheap Prosecco…. After “negotiating” at the reception, their next offer was a discount of the room we did not get, instead of a discount of the the room they gave us - so they wanted us to pay $400 for a room that was listed about $200 at the time of our booking, thinking this is some kind of gesture of good will.mind you, they put four of us in a room suitable for two; no balcony, no frills. In the end we paid $300 which was just the price of the room at the time of the check in. I stated very clearly to the receptionist that we will describe the whole unpleasant experience and ruining our stay by putting four people in a double room, to which, after leaving the hotel, I received an email that we were a “no show” (pictures of the room and confirmation of payment at the checkout state otherwise) and so we wouldn’t be able to post the review on booking.com Booking.com are made aware of this and hopefully soon the very well deserved negative review will be featured there.

Guided by other reviews and the affordable room rates we made what turned out to be an excellent choice for our stay in Venice. A very small hotel only minutes from the Rialto bridge, everything can be reached in a short walk or vaporetto ride. Our room is very Venetian and decently large. The personnel is friendly and helpful, the day shift even witty. We are very satisfied, no negatives!
