Ca’ Bragadin Carabba is a great value option in Venice. The room was incredibly large by Venice standards — and even by European standards — and the bathroom was also very spacious, which is a rare find in the city. The hotel itself is a bit outdated, but this does not interfere with the overall comfort or quality of the stay. Everything was clean and functional, and the charm of the building fits well with Venice’s character. The staff were helpful, polite, and always ready to provide directions, recommendations for breakfast, and sightseeing tips, which made getting around much easier. The location is excellent: about a 5-minute walk from the Rialto Bridge and roughly 10 minutes from Piazza San Marco, making it ideal for exploring Venice on foot. Bottom line: a comfortable, well-located, and affordable place offering great value for money.

Every corner reflects a quaint, timeless style, combining comfort with authentic Venetian decor that evokes the charm, elegance, and intrigue of Venice’s storied past. The interiors are spotlessly clean, meticulously maintained, and adorned with classic details and subtle touches of sophistication, perfectly complementing the enchanting canals and streets just outside. The location is ideal, tucked away just enough to feel peaceful, yet close to the heart of Venice’s attractions, making it easy to explore the city without the crowds. Each morning we loved stepping out and immediately immersing ourselves in the local life, knowing we could return to such a serene, historically significant, and immaculately kept retreat. For anyone seeking an authentic Venetian experience with charm, history, and attentive hospitality, and a unique connection to Casanova, Ca’ Bragadin Carabba is simply unbeatable. We cannot recommend it highly enough and look forward to returning.

Our stay was wonderful from start to finish. The check-in process was quick and effortless, and the apartment was spotless and comfortable. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and we look forward to returning to Venice and staying here again.

Convenient location near St. Marks square. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful navigating ferry transportation and times as well as navigating the area and sightseeing. Room was clean but a little dated looking. Walls were a bit thin as we could hear people walking and talking through the night. We chose this place as a good place to just rest our heads for the night as it was a quick stop before continuing our travels. Overall good stay.

Staff was not available during hours listed on website. Additional visitor tax fees not listed that required cash payment i was not aware of caused me additional fees to pull from ATM. Staff spoke no English which made it difficult to have clear understanding of what they were asking or communicating.

So this booking was probably my worst choice of my trip. The only thing I could say was good, was the location near Rialto Bridge. First, we were told check in was 7 am-4 pm. So we had our plane arrive early and got there around 8:30 am hoping to sleep, and we couldn’t get our room until 12 pm. Check in time should have stated 12 pm- 4 pm. Next thing, the staff barely spoke English (which I completely understand and is okay that they don’t considering we are in English) but we were told staff does but it was extremely hard to communicate if they were even at the desk, which was rare. I was also told they were able to book a water taxi to the airport for us on the booking and private message, but the staff is never there and just looked confused when we asked. The place is older and there were water stains on the walls from the AC? And cracks all in the ceiling and the hairdryer was broken and our sink clogged up constantly. It was fine for the one night we were here, but I wouldn’t recommend it to others. We did pick it because it was one of the cheaper ones I could find, but I know now why, so I would have chose something else.

Wonderful hotel. Does not have an elevator. The staff was so kind and helpful. The location near Rialto was nice.

The Italian lady at the front desk does not know any English. When we were asking her normal check in questions, she calls us stupid in spanish. She called us dumb, annoying, and a few other bad words while projecting to smile.

For the 7 people of our group waiting to finish check in, she said why are they "soliciting".

Terrible place. OK rooms. Nothing special. Very far from where the boat drops you.

Very good area, we loved staying there, front desk lady was very nice, explaoeverything, detailed map cleaning lady Luba was very nice.
The only thing is if you have back or joint problem is hard to climb on those stairs- no elevator.

The lady at the desk doesn’t speak English and was rather rude and loud with a in your face type of demeanor that was dismissive, not patient nor professional, which made the place feel not welcoming. The room itself is old but spacious, a bit of weird moldy looking patch up on the ceiling, the location itself is very convenient and central but because of that you should be prepared to carry your luggage through thick crowds to get to the hotel given it’s near the hotspot of Rialto bridge.
