I chose to stay here for convenience when going to Ankoku-ji Temple. The hotel facilities weren't new, but they were very clean, and the onsen (hot spring bath) was very comfortable. I recommend the hotel's breakfast and dinner packages. The hotel service was excellent. Early in the morning, while I was having breakfast, they proactively asked if I needed a hotel shuttle. After looking at the route and destination I found on Google Maps, they helped me find a more convenient route and pick-up point when I checked out. It was drizzling on the way to Ankoku-ji Temple, and the hotel receptionist ran several hundred meters to bring me an umbrella.

The hot springs were a bit out of order, but the water was thick and delicious. However, the room smelled moldy, which made my body feel unwell. The breakfast was advertised as homemade, but it was just a pre-made meal. It was a terrible inn in many ways, but I think it's perfect for a day trip to the hot springs.

It was very good.

It is attached to a day-trip hot spring facility and is open until 9pm with day-trippers. If you choose the right time, it wasn't too crowded even on the weekends, so you can take your time in the hot spring.
After 9pm, only overnight guests can bathe.
The alkaline hot spring water was very viscous.
We could see the double cherry blossoms from the open-air bath, which was a blissful experience. The food used seasonal and local ingredients, and dinner was especially delicious!
I was able to relax and feel refreshed. I'd like to go again.

I thought the name was from the Silk Road (old commerce) but now I think it was because the onsen was really, really 'silk'-like onsen, glides off your arm, so silky! Really loved the outdoor onsen with its huge rock formations, Buddha statutes, occasional waterfall, and mountaintop fresh air. The lobby was nice, with vaulted ceiling and windows with bright sunlight. We were there later in the evening so the day-spa people were not a bother. We didn't expect too much as this is basically a budget, day spa place but we were very pleasantly surprised. The room was large, with comfortable beds. I especially appreciated the poems they laid on the pillow with origami cranes. I also liked the 3 different trash cans they provided so we could divide our trash without a problem (placed out of the way). The meals were large and plentiful with local ingredients, very delicious, and helpful about the local sake. Free parking, free wifi, hiking trails, and a really good shop in the lobby. (And it is close to Ankokuji Temple! We've already recommended this onsen, all at a reasonable price, to others!

Impression of premium twin accommodation with half board. It's true that the hot springs didn't irritate my skin, but it was highly praised by word of mouth, so maybe my expectations were too high. The feeling of saying. It was a crab 🦀 course, but unless I made a special order, it was frozen crab. This point was disappointing and I was sad that the shell was cut in half, but I think the food was carefully made. Originally, it is said that the hot spring was dug for a hometown promotion project during the time of Prime Minister Takeshita. Perhaps because of that, I felt like it was managed by a local government, but the way the staff worked was pleasant.
