Ryokan Kiraku in Beppu

Lovely hidden gem in the Kannawa area of Beppu. It is walking distance to 5 of the 7 hells of Beppu. The ryokan has indoor and outdoor baths as well as private baths that can be reserved. There's also free parking onsite. The only minor complaint is that the breakfast is quite average, but everything else was great.

The staff were friendly, and the food was clean and delicious.
I don't speak Japanese well, so I used English, Korean, and gestures, but they understood me well and provided excellent guidance.
I had a wonderful trip down memory lane with my mom. ^^
It's close to Kamado Jigoku, so it's easy to find.

Great food, great location, great service, great room. Onsen is outside on the open and there is a shared shower room in the hotel when the Onsen is closed.

The accommodations were nice, the kaiseki was delicious, and the breakfast was also great!
I think it would be easier if I could speak a little Japanese!
Even if it's just listening! The staff were always smiling and friendly!
I only used the hot springs for a short time, but the parking was available until 2 PM the next day at the checkout counter, so I could park and go to nearby Jigoku or Hyotan Onsen.
What was funny was that when I asked, "What should I do about the hot spring water in the room? It's too hot?", they said it was hard to adjust the temperature because it was hot spring water. But a gentleman staff member went in and came out after 30 seconds, diluted the water with cold water using a hose, and I was able to return to the hot spring. It was definitely hot, lol.
Anyway, everyone was friendly and fun! You can make a reservation! The location, the food, and the hot spring water are great~

The staff were friendly and helpful, and they could communicate in English, which was fantastic! The room was clean, and they thoughtfully left a welcome card with hot and cold water provided. The breakfast was also plentiful and delicious, including freshly cooked onsen eggs! The onsen bath was very comfortable and spacious.

Good location, a couple minute walk to tram station. I forgot shampoo in the bathroom but the housekeeper kept it for me and the reception help me a lot for check it. Recommend.

There's a pick-up service from Beppu Station, so it's easy to get there. The onsen is the best. It's definitely an open-air bath. You can enjoy a sand bath. It's generally clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly.

Great small and lovely hotel. Located near the bus stop and main attractions. Nice onsen and great breakfast
