The room received a low rating.
The size, cleanliness, and neatness of the room were fine, but there was a constant noise of feet stepping on the floor. The kitchen was next door, so it was unclear whether the sound was from employees or from the room above.
Also, light from the hallway filtered in through the shoji screen by the bed, preventing complete darkness when I went to bed and making my sleep shallow.
I checked in in the evening, and the fluorescent lights were on, so I didn't realize it, but the room barely let in any sunlight. It wasn't until I realized that the room was designed to let in light from the hallway unless the fluorescent lights were turned on at 9 a.m. that it was pitch black. There was a bay window and another window, but the exterior was covered to prevent visibility from outside and to prevent the main building's external piping from being seen, which was why no light was allowed in.
The open-air bath in the room was nice, but the insect repellent installation method needs to be reconsidered. The large public bath, both indoors and outdoors, was too hot to bathe in. I tried massaging the water, but it didn't help.
The portion size for dinner seemed small, but I think that's because the rice dish you could choose to have cooked in was served in a rice bowl rather than in a rice container. On the other hand, breakfast was served in a rice container and you could have more rice, so I was full.
It was my first time trying the Yonaki Soba noodles served at Dormy Inn, and it was delicious.
Overall, it was a nice inn except for the room, but I would never stay in that room again.

The staff, the food, and the cleanliness of the hotel were all excellent.
The food was perfect, despite the fact that it's difficult to strictly adhere to the basic principles of "hot food should be hot" and "cold food should be cold." Of course, the menu and flavor were also satisfying. The entire hotel was perfectly clean, and it was great how the staff were always proactive and thoughtful about various things.
I really wanted to rate everything as perfect, but if I had to say, the only disappointments were the rumbling sound of sliding doors opening and closing in other rooms, and the water pressure in the shower in our room. However, the service exceeded those expectations, making this the number one hotel I'd "want to visit again."

Two days and one night stay, Japanese-style room with two beds in the main building, with a semi-open-air bath, dinner and breakfast included, for two people. The hotel is a little hard to find. If you are using a car navigation system, make sure you look for the sign for the guest parking lot, "Ito-shi Sakuragaoka 2-chome 4-13," or the sign on the electric pole from Minami-Ito Station. When you arrive at the parking lot, someone will be there to guide you to your parking space. While you are there, a waitress will come and help you with your luggage, but since the hotel is on a hill, it can be a bit daunting to have heavy luggage carried for you. The hotel is located in a residential area, so the entrance is It is not visible from the parking lot, and its appearance is more like a traditional Japanese inn than a hotel, and it has a dignified atmosphere. After entering, we took off our shoes and went up to a Japanese-style room with a cypress counter. We checked in and enjoyed matcha tea and sweets, and took a break. The room was on the second floor and we were moved by elevator, but we had to go down a few stairs to get to the main building. The room was quite spacious for two people, and the waitress explained that there was a disaster kit to take out in case of a disaster. There was also emergency water in the toilet. We also went to the large public bath, which was open and spacious. After bathing, we were given a drink. We ate what was on hand. The drinks were different in the evening and in the morning. They would call us when the meal was ready. The menu for the private dining room changes monthly, but we were able to choose one of five dishes as a token of appreciation, and one of three dishes for the meal. We had both hot and cold dishes, and there was a fair amount of food, so we were full and delicious. They offered us some midnight noodles in the evening, but we were too full so we gave up. The hot spring in our room was a little warm, so we were able to stay in for a long time. It was quiet, probably because it was surrounded by trees, and we could occasionally hear the sound of trains in the distance. Breakfast was served in the same place, starting at 8:00, but they made an effort to accommodate (we wanted to leave earlier). The freshly cooked rice was delicious, and we could choose as many as we wanted from four side dishes, and we were told we could have seconds. There was grilled fish, but it was really tasty when heated on a charcoal grill. On our way back, we checked out at the front desk and had our luggage carried to the parking lot. It was a rare Japanese-style inn, with staff in kimonos these days. Recommended for those who want to relax and enjoy high-quality service and hot springs.

A warm and cozy Japanese onsen experience
Amazing staff, I still remember the warmth of their welcome and goodbye.
Experienced the cozy atmosphere in their traditional Japanese style building, every room/facility got a meaningful Japanese name.
Great view in private dining room.
Easily accessible, whether it’s by train or their shuttle service.
Private onsen is great.
Public onsen is a bit small.
Don’t expect many things to do when going for a walk nearby, but it’s fine for those who like quiet rural areas. Usually people take trains to visit surrounding places.

From the moment I entered the room, I could often hear something like the sound of a noisy train, and especially when I was resting in bed, it echoed on the wall above me, making it difficult to rest at all. In the end, it turned out to be the sound from the sliding door of the private dining room, and it had been going on from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and from 7:00 AM. It was a very disappointing stay. Tired and taking a bath? I didn't even go there. The food menu looks delicious, but the chef who decides the taste was probably absent? The only thing that was delicious was a small piece of mentaiko. I liked the Kyoritsu inn in Hakodate, but the quality of the accommodation varies.

The food was delicious. The facility was old but well maintained and clean. I stayed in a room with an open-air bath in the villa, but I couldn't sleep because of the noise of the hot water in the open-air bath.

The bath in the room was very good. Also, there was a room wear and pajamas so I could relax. It was inconvenient that there was only one key to the room. The facilities were old overall, but it was clean. The staff was kind.
