Check-out is at a strict 10 AM, which is probably standard for Toyoko Inn in Japan, but it feels a bit too early. Check-in, on the other hand, is precisely at 3 PM, not a minute sooner or later.

It seems this is the first Toyoko Inn in Sapporo, so the facilities are a bit dated. On the day I checked in, there were no non-smoking rooms available, so I had to take a smoking room. When I entered, I noticed a strong smell of smoke, so I had to air it out first. Other than that, the cleanliness and amenities were pretty standard and acceptable.

The hotel is very close to Sapporo Station and directly opposite Hokkaido University, making it super convenient for transportation and exploring the area.

Excellent location, right across from Hokkaido University's main gate, making transportation very convenient. The breakfast selection was quite comprehensive, and luggage storage is available. The service was warm and welcoming.

This hotel isn't great. The location isn't ideal either; it's at least a 15-minute walk to Sapporo Station, which is quite scary in the snow. Breakfast was very ordinary. Overall, it wasn't a good experience, and the front desk service wasn't very good. The room was also very small and felt cramped. For this price, I'd recommend looking elsewhere – generally, I don't recommend it.

Had a great stay and definitely recommend this hotel!
Convenient location: it's less than 10 min walk from Sapporo station, busstops, cafes and restaurants and some sightseeing spots as well. Susuki and Odori are 15 min on foot away.
Staff is nice and polite. Breakfast is good, has several options and curry soup (local dish)
Single room was tiny, but really clean and had everything needed (fridge, hangers, kettle, etc.)
But don't ask for a room near the elevator if you are not a good sleeper. It really IS next door to it so you can hear some operation noise. But i was never bothered by it and slept really well. And had a large suitcase, so it was good that elevator was so close😂
It was a really great stay, very thankful for everyone at the hotel 💕

The hotel is located directly across the street from Hokkaido University's main gate. However, it's quite a walk from Sapporo Station or the nearest subway station, making the location not very convenient. The cleanliness needs improvement; we found bed bugs even though we didn't open the window. The hotel facilities are old and outdated. There was a very noticeable humming noise from the ventilation pipes at night, and the room's soundproofing was also quite poor, allowing us to clearly hear TVs and hair dryers from neighboring rooms. At this price point, you'd be better off choosing a newer hotel in the same category.

The room is very clean, but it kinda small. Nevertheless, that is the norm in japan small room, so I'm happy with the room I got. The receptionists are very friendly and easy to talk to. There are not a bunch of amenities in the room, but you can get them from the lobby. The breakfast that come with the stay also lovely, they even have containers for you to pack and take out if you are too busy to sit for the breakfast. The location is also great very close to sapporo station, perfect for transport.

The room is quite small, but very clean and cozy, making it ideal for solo travelers. Daily housekeeping is provided; however, it can take a bit of time. Complimentary breakfast is also available. Overall, I highly recommend this place.
