Great hotel and service. Felt treated and looked after by staff especially during Tokyo Marathon. Received a complimentary upgrade, a free drink and mini bar which was appreciated.
I stayed here with friends, and let me tell you about the good points first. From the front desk to the rooms, everything was just fine. Both the service and hygiene were excellent. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, with a wide variety of choices, and everything tasted great. We stayed for three days, so we got to try various breakfast sets, which was definitely a plus.
Now, for the main issue...
Facilities: Good
Cleanliness: Good
Ambiance: Good
Service: Good
Overall: Excellent
the best part is it is in Shinjuku but the problem is you have to walk 10-12 minutes to any station. fairly clean room but way too small, not even enough space to place 1 large luggage. street noise is a problem. really friendly staff though. enjoyed the breakfast. gym was small but decent. might not choose this hotel again.
Everything else was great, apart from being a bit far from the subway.
Very comfortable stay! Thanks to all the service staff.

The closet is too narrow to hang oversized coats, especially when in winter! Kitchen isn’t well facilitated with only one microwave, no idea how to cook! No luggage rack, no shoe brush
Excellent location, but the rooms are just average and the service is terrible. The listed facilities are inaccurate. It's rare for me to leave a bad review, but this one deserves it.
An absolutely top-tier hotel experience in Tokyo! The location is incredibly central, right by the Imperial Palace and Tokyo Station, placing it in the heart of the city's most bustling and modern business district. The hotel rooms are incredibly spacious, and we even got upgraded to a suite, which made for a fantastic stay.
The hotel made a mistake during check-in, which led to a lengthy discussion before I could finally get settled. They did upgrade my room, which was very spacious, and the cleanliness was acceptable. However, no one at the front desk offered to help with my luggage.
I've always been a loyal fan of Ascott, but the Ascott Tokyo really left me speechless. Upon check-in, we were informed that the entire building would have a power outage on our last day, meaning all guests had to vacate their rooms before noon. What's more, luggage storage wasn't allowed, so we had to drag our five suitcases ourselves to the JR Tokyo Station, about a 10-minute walk away, and pay ...
The service was excellent, and the room was clean and tidy. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the necessary utensils, making it perfect for travelers who enjoy cooking!

The view at the hotel was so nice, the room was so clean. and not to mention the service, every staff was super polite, we joined some of the hotel activities and tiff was so kind and professional! highly recommend this hotel!!
This hotel was so magical. It’s nestled in the hills of a beautiful small town. There are nice places to eat nearby and the overall vibe is just so cozy. Japanese breakfast room service was delectable , shout out to Vincent who was so sweet to us and had the best service. He described the food well and it was nice talking to him. The rooms are amazing , I loved the bathtub in the room , I never wanted...
Second time here, this time in icy cold winter, but it's a great time to be here to enjoy the onsen and the tranquil, peaceful surroundings, and check out snow covered kegon falls.
The room is spacious and well maintained (upgraded to a suite), and the lake view is amazing. I'm a Marriott loyalist and have had a few suite upgrades, but this might be my favorite in terms of the room layout, view, and...
I am so glad I made my decision to spend one night in the Ritz Carlton instead of one day trip to Nikko. The hotel staff helped us to schedule the trip even before our arrival so that we would not be in a rush. Everything about the hotel is satisfying without complaints. The room is spacious with great view toward both Chuzenji lake and Nantai mountain. The interior design brings you a sense of Japanese...
Well, it’s the Ritz Carlton, so expect the price and expect the proportional experience! Staff was super attentive from the moment I got on the shuttle bus to the moment I step off the bus going back to Tokyo. My Rooms was impressively spacious and impeccably appointed. I just havs breakfast once during my two nights stay, it was professionally prepared and it was priced accordingly ( very high end...
The breakfast was delicious, the room was clean, and the hot spring was great. The service was really good. The only downside is that the location is a bit far. Everything else was perfect.

Hoshinoya Tokyo has been an incredible stay. Everything feels calm, intentional, and thoughtfully done, from the design of the space to the overall atmosphere. It truly feels like a quiet retreat in the middle of the city.
The hospitality is what really sets this place apart. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel genuinely welcome. I especially want to mention Suzuki, who made the best...
My husband and I are experienced world travelers who stay at 5-star hotels. This was our second visit to Tokyo and last time, we stayed in Ginza. The location of Hoshinoya is a bit tricky; none of the taxi drivers knew where it was. The architecture of the building is undoubtedly elegant and impressive with the 17-floor onsen with a view of a night sky with the moon hanging high up there. The staff...
We had an exceptional stay with our twin infants. The hotel’s commitment to families is unmatched—they provided cribs, high chairs, and even a bottle washer, which made our logistics seamless.
The location is perfect; being steps away from the Imperial Gardens made daily walks effortless. The culinary experience was a highlight, particularly the 'Lost Flavors' Kaiseki dinner and the holistic Ryokan...
This has been the best hotel experience I have ever had. The staff is extremely nice. The vibe is absolutely Japanese. Everything is so clean. The hot spring is very relaxing. Would highly recommend this hotel. Also, try on the kimono’s in the room while going to breakfast or the hot springs, they are pretty comfortable! Planning to come here in the future if we can afford it.
hoshinoya tokyo is the most amazing hotel i’ve ever stayed at. from the moment you arrive you are transported to a peaceful oasis in the hustle and bustle of the city. the hotels vibe and aesthetic are that of a traditional ryokan. this is carried out so well throughout the hotel from the rooms, the lobby, and the onsen. the staff are the sweetest and kindest people there to ensure your stay is enjoyable...

The room was well-equipped, and the service was excellent and very friendly. The only minor issue was that I wasn't used to the breakfast. However, the hotel's location is super convenient, with a subway station right outside!
The hotel's location is really convenient. It's not a long taxi ride to Omotesando or Ginza, and it's just two or three subway stops away. The room is spacious, and the mini-bar is complimentary.
Spacious rooms, convenient location, great service.
Only thing is the dryers are not the best takes a few additional cycles to dry a standard load.
Five stars! The room was spacious, and the twin beds were queen-sized. The facilities were new and clean, and the service was attentive. The hotel is right next to the subway station, making it easy to get to Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Ginza, all within 30 minutes. There are also some nice cafes nearby. All seven of us were very satisfied and would definitely choose to stay here again on our next trip...
The room was very spacious, and there's a convenience store and a subway station right downstairs. It's super convenient to get to Tokyo Station and Ginza Station. Taxi fares weren't expensive either. I'd definitely choose this place again next time.
Very clean and cozy rooms. Easy to travel as there is a training station just outside the hotel. Hotel staff are very nice and very helpful.

Great location and service. Quiet and super clean rooms. Easy access. Highly recommended for an upscale Tokyo experience.
We regularly stay at Four Seasons hotels but for this trip to Tokyo our hipster college kids wanted to stay in another part of town so we didn’t have rooms here. But after walking around Tokyo for six hours with our family when at the end of our ropes… we knew we needed excellent cocktails, service and welcome amenities. From greetings at the outdoor doorman to the lobby we were welcomed and given...
1 Next to Tokyo Station, Daimaru is on one side and Four Seasons is on the other. Tokyo Station has two main exits, one is Marunouchi and the other is Yaesu. You can find it after you go directly to Tokyo Station from the airport. The nearest exit is Yaesu South Exit.
2 Three people are traveling together. If you find other hotels are small and book two rooms, it is better to go directly to Four Seasons...
We had a wonderful stay at the Four Seasons Marunouchi Tokyo, made even more memorable by the exceptional staff. Dimitri from room service went above and beyond each day—his warm smile, positive attitude, and thoughtful gesture of bringing extra biwa fruit truly made our stay special.
Taro at Maison Marunouchi was incredibly attentive and a pleasure to interact with. He not only answered all my questions...
We had the pleasure of staying at the Four Seasons Marunouchi for six nights last week, during the beautiful cherry blossom season in Tokyo. We had an incredible time at the hotel -- the entire staff was so welcoming, understanding, warm and accommodating. The location of the hotel is ideal -- so close to Tokyo Station and so easy to get to all the other neighborhoods. Both my children (ages 4 and...
A pleasant stay on our last 3 nights in Tokyo. The service is excellent, each staff was very helpful and kind. Location is great, walking distance to center of Ginza and next to Tokyo station. The room is spacious and clean but it’s a little old for Four Season standard. The restaurants were amazing with city lights view. Food and drinks were delicious. Overall we are happy to stay here.

The room was spotless, spacious, and perfectly located within walking distance to Omotesando. However, the garden room had very poor lighting, with the window facing a small, courtyard-like garden, making the room feel a bit damp.
It was totally wonderful experience and awesome moment there.
My stay at THE AOYAMA GRAND HOTEL was excellent overall. The service was professional, attentive, and discreet, making the entire experience feel refined without being stiff. The staff were helpful from check-in to departure and handled requests efficiently. The free private black van to the airport was a nice touch as well.
The facilities are modern and thoughtfully designed, blending contemporary...
The room is too small for the daily price, easy to get to, and parking is difficult if you rent a car.
Extremely satisfied! The hotel's location is super convenient, within walking distance to Harajuku and Omotesando for shopping.
We booked a suite, and the room was very spacious and beautiful. Japanese hotels are truly excellent when it comes to details; they've prepared everything you could possibly think of, and even things you wouldn't expect. Lots of little surprises, including a free mini-bar...
Very good location. The room has wonderful views. The all complementary mini bar is a very generous touch by the management.

Beautiful if aged ryokan with a spectacular dining experience.
Here is very nice Ryokang. Good service and All Staffs are very friendly especially A Nepali guy (Sorry, I didn't ask him name) He is very helpful and suggested us things to do in Yugawara. We are very appreciated here.
Expensive but worth it! The hospitality is top-notch, and the location is very quiet and serene. Dinner and breakfast were excellent (Kaiseki style), and the onsen was great. A perfect place to relax.

An absolutely amazing experience! I've stayed in countless top-tier hotels over the years, and Gōra Kadan is, without a doubt, the best!
The service was incredibly thoughtful. They offered on-demand shuttle service to all the attractions in Gora, which was a lifesaver, especially avoiding walking in the cold winter. I highly recommend booking a room with a private onsen, as the bookable private baths and the public bath don't compare to the experience of soaking in your own room.
Our stay at this luxury ryokan was simply magnificent in every aspect: the service, atmosphere, grounds, cleanliness, and the genuine care and attention to detail were all exceptional.
From the moment we arrived, we were treated with the utmost reverence and attentiveness, making us feel like honored guests and part of the ryokan family. As Russian guests, we were particularly impressed by the thoughtful...
Very suitable for family travel!
When we arrived, three hotel staff greeted us and helped us with our luggage. The whole accommodation experience was very good, with thoughtful details and a warm feeling. When we left the hotel, we sat in the lobby to enjoy the view. The manager took the initiative to serve tea and asked about our itinerary and needs. He sent a car to take us to Gora Station. I give it a thumbs up.
When checking in, the hotel will explain the tourist route of Hakone. It's a no-brainer to check in and just follow the map provided by the hotel.
The service exceeded my expectations. I felt like a princess returning home during my stay. I thought this was the standard Japanese service. But later I stayed in other hotels and found that the service of Gora Kadan is far better than other hotels of...

The room was very spacious, especially the bathroom 😆—it was huge and spotless, and all the toiletries were brand-name. The hotel is right above a subway station, which made getting around super convenient.
Although the room included lounge access, I ended up taking it easy and ended up being five minutes late during the daytime, meaning I couldn't receive the service. I wish they had been a little more accommodating and showed more hospitality. The room was spacious, but the bathroom smelled a bit damp, perhaps due to its design. Amenities were plentiful. I chose Japanese food and it was delicious.

A ryokan that even the locals enjoy! It was an amazing experience staying in Madoka no Mori - from pick up at Gora station to the check-in, we were looked after. Service was absolutely top notch. The hotel was beautiful, but showed some small signs of aging. Onsen was everything we hoped. Own bath in the room and an open-air public bath. Would love to visit again in the future.
Gora Hanagami En no Shrine is simply a dreamlike place! Located in Gora, Hakone, the ryokan boasts a tranquil and elegant environment with a beautiful Japanese garden that remains stunning in all seasons. I cannot say enough positive things about this beautiful and relaxing ryokan. The setting is stunning and a perfect example of Japanese gardens. This traditional Japanese inn was the perfect place to relax and wind down after 2 sightseeing days in Tokyo prior! We were greeted at the door and immediately given green tea and cookies. An amazing stay in a beautiful tranquil place. Our room was a good size and the onsen was wonderfully relaxing.
