do-c Ebisu, Tokyo1 / 20
8.4
Tokyo, 1-8-1 Ebisu, Sibuya, 150-0013 Tokio, Yaponiya (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The front desk staff are all very enthusiastic and friendly, and they speak English. Fresh towels, toothbrushes, and other toiletries are provided daily. The male and female dorms and shower areas are on separate floors
You need a key to enter the female dorm and shower areas, so safety and privacy are well-maintained. You have to leave the hostel every day from 11 AM to 3 PM, which is quite inconvenient
As with most hostels, a good night's sleep is hard to guarantee. You can hear the sound of luggage being wheeled around from morning till night
You can store your luggage in the storage room on each floor, but it's a bit small, so you can't open your suitcase there. Other than that, everything else was quite satisfactory
I liked that each capsule had a curtain that could be pulled down and that there were sauna facilities. It would have been great if I could have rented a charger.
Situated at Shibuya Ebisu, 3 minutes walk from Shibuya Ebisu station then take west exit. Their staff's very responsive and helpful. I would recommend this capsule hotel for backpackers or budget traveler

Tokyo, 3 Chome-2-9 Nishi, Sindzyuku, 160-8336 Tokio, Yaponiya (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
We had unagi (grilled eel) at a restaurant next door; they only serve 10 portions a day, and I got the last one. Couldn't order it for my son, so we had to order from the downstairs menu instead
The room is small, barely enough for putting your luggage and walking space. Room is just basic, so don't expect too much. But location is good, located on one of the stops for airport shuttle
Stayed one night and liked it so much that I'm planning to return to this hotel tonight after visiting Kamakura. The room is spacious and the transportation is convenient
The price was really cheap, and the airport bus goes directly there. However, compared to Keio Plaza, from the room view to the breakfast, you really get what you pay for
On the first day, I couldn't find the passage, but walking along the main road from the South Exit works just as well, and it was a pleasant walk. The room was clean and not too small, which I was happy with
Traveling with my son, this was a very satisfying stay in Tokyo. I also stayed one night at the Washington hotel nearby, which has A and B buildings

Tokyo, 1-12-16 Komagata, Tayto, 111-0043 Tokio, Yaponiya (6 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Close to tourist attractions, comfortable, and the staff were very helpful. They also offer luggage storage.
Basic room with all necessities. Parking lots are available with max charge of 2500yen per day.
Everything was great. Just note that the breakfasts are quite unique, Japanese style.
It was right outside a train station exit. Very convenient for travelers who constantly use the train.
Cosy place, very near the asakusa train station that have 2 lines. Also walkable to alot of attractions subs Tokyo sky tree, senso-ji temples and the walking streets around the temple
The bathroom even had a tub for a relaxing soak! All amenities were provided (toothbrush/toothpaste/comb/hair tie/shower cap/soap/shampoo/conditioner/razor)

Tokyo, 7-27-9 Shinjuku Shinjuku-ku (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
It's located right beside Higashi Shinjuku station exit B2, with lots of convenience stores nearby. Staff very friendly and helpful, room is clean and perfect for a solo traveller
10/10 would stay here again next time if I'm in the area!
I would come back and stay here again next trip in Tokyo
This is my second time booking with this hotel company and so far my experiences have been great. Affordable hotel, conveniently located near the train station. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Super good location! In a quieter junction but all main Shinjuku areas are walkable! Near to Oedo/Fuktoshin Lines and also bus stop. Room was clean and front desk staff were warm and friendly
A bit small space if you have 32” luggages (two) and two more 20” luggages like us but still manageable. Staffs are helpful, speak English and well organized on the luggage storage

I was traveling alone, but it was very clean and had a bathtub, so it was very comfortable. I think it would be difficult for two people. There seemed to be very little space to open the suitcase.
Amazing, fast check in, nice receptionist. The room is great for one person and it might look small but it offers everything you’ll need. Location is great also!
Overall it's okay, convenient, close to the train station, complete facilities in the room.
A great hotel, a little tiny but well designed. Everything we need in a compact space, even a round bathtube is available, a great view on the city. And a personal really helpful and professional
Only 2 minutes away from Nippori station. Close and well connected to Narita airport. Very reasonably priced, nice room, soft bed. The staff was extremely considerate and helpful
Here Apa Hotel is not special but always clean and useful as u expect. I love your location and price and availability! I can tell Im big fan of this hotel, lol Thanks!

Tokyo, Ueno 6-6-7, Tayto, 110-0005 Tokio, Yaponiya (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
It’s also within walking distance of the train station with access to several lines, so getting around was super convenient. One small tip when booking: try to request a room that’s not directly opposite the elevator
Very comfortable even though it looks small. The morning breakfast is in small amount but tasty. I have been staying here well before the innovation. Will continue to choose this hotel over others in Tokyo
Located near several lines of subway, very convenient. Can take Keisei Skyliner directly from Narita, only around 40 mins. Room is a bit compact but very clean. The staff did the cleaning everyday, neatly
Stayed at this Tokyo hotel, typical in size for the city, but very convenient. The location is excellent—right behind the market and next to a FamilyMart, making it easy to grab anything you need
The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the subway station, making it convenient for getting around and dining. The front desk also offers Chinese language service and luggage storage
The hotel location is good and near to okachimachi and ueno station. It was like in the middle of both train station. The room was clean and alot of amenities provided

Tokyo, 2, Niban-cho, Chiyoda-ku (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Excellent hotel, breakfast had plenty of choice and was quite tasty compared to most other hotels. Amenities in abundance available on ground floor and your room has everything else that you need
Facilities: The soundproofing in the room wasn't great. The people next door were making a lot of noise; I even thought they were knocking on my door. Cleanliness: This was excellent, very clean
There was a good choice of food in the buffet and everything we ate was lovely. The hotel is close to Kojimachi metro station, just across the road from exit 5 so simple for travelling options
Environment: The hotel is in a quiet spot despite being in a lively area. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, plus a popular photo spot
It's just a short walk from Exit 5 of Kojimachi subway station; other exits are a bit further. Service: The front desk service was very good
Location has a little far from train station . It use about 10 minute for walking to JR station . But room is clean and very good service .

Plus, they offer a free breakfast with a great variety of options. As for cleanliness, most things were fine, but there was an extra sheet placed under the duvet, apparently to separate the duvet from your body
Staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. Room size is good and the location is around 5-8mins walking distance from the subway station. The amenities are sufficient and the towels are very clean
You have to cover yourself with both the sheet and the duvet, and I'm not sure if the duvet cover itself is changed every time
Staff was very friendly and helpful with all the questions I had and went out of their way to help me!
The hotel is a bit old-fashioned and some of the facilities are a bit dated, but its location is a huge plus, not far from the subway station. It's in the heart of Tokyo, and the price is really good for the area
We were offered free breakfast and it was delicious. We really appreciated and enjoyed the stay

Tokyo, 2 Chome-13-5, Tyuo, 103-0025 Tokio, Yaponiya (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Ok - so I reviewed this place before. My evaluation changed slightly because the train stop located just steps away didn't readily connect with trains going places we or most others would like to go
The hotel's location is unbeatable, especially for this price point – seriously, what more could you ask for? The room was a bit small but up to Japanese standards
The location so far is good and the breakfast is delicious. Their foreign staff is not so friendly and have some communication with their staff, even using the translator.
Breakfast is good, there is a lot of green if you like that color. One drink pictured is matcha, another is diluted Calpis melon. You could also get a green salad if you desired
The only downside was that we checked in a bit late and got a room facing the main road, so the traffic noise was quite disruptive to a peaceful night's sleep
This hotel was super easy to find, right outside the subway exit, which was incredibly convenient. I chose it because I was taking the Shinkansen to Tokyo Station and found out it was very close to Tokyo Station too

Tokyo, 3-10-1 Misaki, Kanda (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
For a solo or minimalistic traveller, it does the job! Bed is big enough for even 2, it's basic but comfortable, privacy is great with the rollable curtains to hide entrance but it's not sound proof (can hear people snoring)
The location is excellent, just about 100 meters from the west exit of Suidobashi subway station
Great environment. It's located downtown, with shrines and parks nearby, making it convenient for getting around.
The 'ladies only' floor and lockers require a room key to access, which made me feel very secure. The locker was just big enough to fit my 28-inch suitcase! 👍🏽 The rooms are cleaned daily at 11 AM, and sheets are changed
There's a FamilyMart convenience store right downstairs, and a delicious soba noodle place too! 😋 The environment is great, but it's a bit inconvenient that the capsule only has USB charging
A nice touch was the complimentary tonic booster drink for guests. Overall, the capsule experience was unique and enjoyable. I do wonder if capsule hotels for couples exist — that would be an interesting concept to try!

The best thing about our hotel is the LOCATION! It is near the station, has a drugstore beside it, flower shop, multiple convenient stores and a supermarket along the streets, has one of the best katsu and sukiyaki place nearby
The hotel is in a really good location with the trains just down the road. There are lots of good restaurants within a very short walk even next door
There's a supermarket, Anytime Fitness. The bathroom even comes with a small tub which is good and clean. Gotta try their curry rice and a tempura place. Room is small by American standards but its normal in Tokyo
Can stuff your things under the bed to make space. Housekeeping is once every 4 days. I like that because everytime I have to Housekeeping before Housekeeping comes
It is a good place to stay if you want to have a more localized experience compared to a touristy vibe Rooms are a bit small , but typical size like other similar hotels. Nevertheless we loved this homey hotel!
Seriously, this really got to be the best hotel in terms of value. It is only 3 mins walk to subway and 2 short stops from Shinjuku

Stayed at Hotel Keihan Asakusa—super convenient! Walking distance lang sa Senso-ji Temple and Asakusa Station. Rooms are small pero malinis and comfy enough
Wala lang free water or coffee sa room, pero ok lang kasi may vending machine. Good value for money lalo na if you want a base to explore Tokyo
The location is fantastic, making it super convenient to get anywhere. It's also a short walk to Senso-ji Temple.
This is definitely the top choice for a hotel near Senso-ji Temple for New Year's Eve! After Hatsumode (first temple visit of the year), due to road closures, it's incredibly important to have a hotel within walking distance
Great service from check in to check out - there are English speaking staff to assist. was able to leave my luggage after check out (11am). Room is perfect for a solo traveller, with a good price point (~SGD90)
It’s walking distance to Sensoji temple, and Don Quixote

Richmond Hotel Tokyo Mejiro, Tokyo1 / 30

Tokyo, 3-5-14 Mejiro (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
The room had high ceilings and a separate air conditioner, though the heating was a bit weak. The bathroom was a three-piece split, but the toilet cubicle was enclosed and had a slight odor
Having a double room all to myself was really comfortable! The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, no bathtub, but the showerhead was fantastic! Coming back every day for a hot shower was so relaxing!! Just a few steps to the right of the hotel is a 7-Eleven
You don't need to bring slippers or toiletries; the hotel provides them, and they are all quite good. There's also a Life supermarket nearby. I went once, and it was quite busy with a good selection of items to buy
The hotel I stayed at in Akasaka the previous two days was also close, but there was no subway service after the concert ended. The Yamanote Line, however, runs all night during New Year's Eve
Upon check-in, I also received a welcome drink voucher for a complimentary beverage at the second-floor cafe, which had a good variety of options. Overall, I'd say the hotel offers great value for money
There are also plenty of dining options. The hotel's hygiene and environment are very new. I stayed for 4 nights and only asked for the trash to be changed; the bedsheets weren't changed

The environment is great and they provide pajamas and towels. It's very quiet at night. However, there are only USB ports by the bed, no Type-C, so you have to go to the first floor to charge your device.
Like 9-hour capsule hotels in other cities, this one is great, although the common area is a bit small. The capsule itself is very quiet, perfect for sleeping
The location is excellent, with plenty of amenities and food options nearby
The facility was great in general. Except you cant stay over the day its just for sleeping, showering and then you can leave it ln daytime, leave your stuff, as they clean and restrict the sleeping area
They also won’t store your luggage after you check out so if you’re planning to do something on between the check-out and your flight/train you need to take your luggage outside
In all it was nice, but the lockers were extremely small, the lounge area did not have a microwave or hot water and the water had a weird smell in the showers

Tokyo, 2-17-7, Kabukicho, Shinjuku-ku (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The location is fantastic, especially if you want to go out to eat. The prices of resturants around town arent extortionate, and its close to the nearest JR line
About a 5 minute walk to the bus stop and train station we used. This location was very accessible from most public transport. Other than the mishap with the charging, everyone was very nice
The rooms were very clean, the hotel was well maintained and somewhat easy to navigate. If I was lost on anything, the staff were friendly, even with my limited Japanese
Only complaint is that we asked for a late check out, was charged for it, and then the next day they said it’s not on file. That was bothersome but they said there was nothing they could do
Room service cleaned our room every three days with or without permission for hygiene purposes. We received two room cards but one had to be in the room for the AC to be activated
The walls were super thin! I could hear thr other person in the room next to my on the phone, watching TV. Its a bit overpriced for my taste

Hotel is really nice and clean. Location is really convenient and quite close to bus station to airport. City center is also at walking distance
The surroundings are beautiful, and the decor is lovely too. I was a bit nervous about staying in a mixed dorm for the first time, but it turned out fine; everyone was quiet and kept to themselves
Staffs are friendly, The view from terrace was amazing. Clean and tidy everywhere but bit far from every station.
It is in the quiet part of town, and right on the river so you can see the Skytree in the distance when you are on the deck. It's a really nice environment and I stayed here a few times when I stayed in Tokyo
Excellent service, spotlessly clean rooms, incredibly friendly staff, and stunning views. A perfect place to stay. If I ever return to Japan, this will absolutely be my top choice for accommodation!

Knew that the place was small so the lugguges have to be placed at their lobby! Had to have everything needed to be taken out & carried to the room instead~ Was actually out for the whole day so it was of much a issue
The location is fantastic, just one stop away from Tokyo Big Sight, which was super convenient and saved us hard-working folks some money by staying nearby. My experience during the stay was excellent too
I actually love that there is a 24 hour noodles shop nearby & the noodles is really good~ Will stay here again for next solo trip if it's near my event venue!
I had to move out because the hotel was fully booked for my subsequent dates, but they still allowed me to leave my luggage there until I left Japan today
There was a Russian lady at the front desk who wasn't very good at English, but she still made a great effort to communicate with me
I genuinely thank all of them from the bottom of my heart, and I hope more of my fellow Chinese travelers will choose to stay here – it's affordable and has a great location!

Very cool and peppy environment. The staff are very helpful and speak English. The hotel ( or a dormitory) has various options like bunk beds and regular rooms for families. The cafe is open to local visitors too
I stayed at a single room, which is enough for me at really affordable cost. And its near kuramae station, so it’s easy to get around.
I just stayed at this hostel with my friends from April 10th-15th, and it was a fantastic experience, especially for a short trip

I had planned to go to the SEVENTEEN concert at Tokyo Dome, so I was searching for a convenient place to stay. This hotel, located just one station away and a short walk from the station, was the perfect find
Didn't realize it's very near to Shueisha office 😄. Everything is good, but it would be better if the room door is opaque.
The area is well-served with convenience stores, restaurants, and vending machines. The staff were welcoming and helpful
Nice way to live in the great district for a small price. I prefer hostels to capsule hotels — bed here is big enough.
However, it was perfectly adequate for a solo traveler and I was able to fit my 28-inch suitcase on the floor. The bed was a fold-out and wasn't the most comfortable, but it was good enough for a one-night stay

Great hotel for the money, I couldn't believe you could get a private room for this price. So nice after spending a few nights in a capsule hotel at twice the price
Overall, I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance. This hotel, conveniently located near the station, boasted an amazing view. As it was a women-only floor, I didn't have to worry about encountering men
The toilet is on the same floor and was always available. The bathhouse on the first floor has a pleasant onsen. It's perfect for travelers to relax after long walks. I felt very comfortable and peaceful
Since this is not a business trip, I'm on a tight budget, so am able to put up with such minor inconveniences
Room was clean, staff polite and willing to speak English, and the sento was a nice bonus. Make sure you mind the curfew if staying here, overall I recommend spending a quiet night or two here when in Tokyo
My only minor quibbles were that, despite being someone who can sleep almost anywhere, I was in a room close to a sink in the hallway and was woken up by the sound of it being used
