Do-c Ebisu, Tokyo1 / 20
8.4
Tokyo, 1-8-1 Ebisu, Shibuya-ku (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The front desk staff are all very enthusiastic and friendly, and they speak English. Fresh towels, toothbrushes, and other toiletries are provided daily. The male and female dorms and shower areas are on separate floors
You need a key to enter the female dorm and shower areas, so safety and privacy are well-maintained. You have to leave the hostel every day from 11 AM to 3 PM, which is quite inconvenient
As with most hostels, a good night's sleep is hard to guarantee. You can hear the sound of luggage being wheeled around from morning till night
You can store your luggage in the storage room on each floor, but it's a bit small, so you can't open your suitcase there. Other than that, everything else was quite satisfactory
I liked that each capsule had a curtain that could be pulled down and that there were sauna facilities. It would have been great if I could have rented a charger.
Situated at Shibuya Ebisu, 3 minutes walk from Shibuya Ebisu station then take west exit. Their staff's very responsive and helpful. I would recommend this capsule hotel for backpackers or budget traveler

I was traveling alone, but it was very clean and had a bathtub, so it was very comfortable. I think it would be difficult for two people. There seemed to be very little space to open the suitcase.
Amazing, fast check in, nice receptionist. The room is great for one person and it might look small but it offers everything you’ll need. Location is great also!
Overall it's okay, convenient, close to the train station, complete facilities in the room.
A great hotel, a little tiny but well designed. Everything we need in a compact space, even a round bathtube is available, a great view on the city. And a personal really helpful and professional
Only 2 minutes away from Nippori station. Close and well connected to Narita airport. Very reasonably priced, nice room, soft bed. The staff was extremely considerate and helpful
Here Apa Hotel is not special but always clean and useful as u expect. I love your location and price and availability! I can tell Im big fan of this hotel, lol Thanks!

For a solo or minimalistic traveller, it does the job! Bed is big enough for even 2, it's basic but comfortable, privacy is great with the rollable curtains to hide entrance but it's not sound proof (can hear people snoring)
The location is excellent, just about 100 meters from the west exit of Suidobashi subway station
Great environment. It's located downtown, with shrines and parks nearby, making it convenient for getting around.
The 'ladies only' floor and lockers require a room key to access, which made me feel very secure. The locker was just big enough to fit my 28-inch suitcase! 👍🏽 The rooms are cleaned daily at 11 AM, and sheets are changed
There's a FamilyMart convenience store right downstairs, and a delicious soba noodle place too! 😋 The environment is great, but it's a bit inconvenient that the capsule only has USB charging
A nice touch was the complimentary tonic booster drink for guests. Overall, the capsule experience was unique and enjoyable. I do wonder if capsule hotels for couples exist — that would be an interesting concept to try!

Tokyo, 2, Niban-cho, Chiyoda-ku (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Excellent hotel, breakfast had plenty of choice and was quite tasty compared to most other hotels. Amenities in abundance available on ground floor and your room has everything else that you need
Facilities: The soundproofing in the room wasn't great. The people next door were making a lot of noise; I even thought they were knocking on my door. Cleanliness: This was excellent, very clean
There was a good choice of food in the buffet and everything we ate was lovely. The hotel is close to Kojimachi metro station, just across the road from exit 5 so simple for travelling options
Environment: The hotel is in a quiet spot despite being in a lively area. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, plus a popular photo spot
It's just a short walk from Exit 5 of Kojimachi subway station; other exits are a bit further. Service: The front desk service was very good
Location has a little far from train station . It use about 10 minute for walking to JR station . But room is clean and very good service .

Tokyo, 2 Chome-13-5, Tyuo, 103-0025 Tokio, Yaponiya (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Ok - so I reviewed this place before. My evaluation changed slightly because the train stop located just steps away didn't readily connect with trains going places we or most others would like to go
The hotel's location is unbeatable, especially for this price point – seriously, what more could you ask for? The room was a bit small but up to Japanese standards
The location so far is good and the breakfast is delicious. Their foreign staff is not so friendly and have some communication with their staff, even using the translator.
Breakfast is good, there is a lot of green if you like that color. One drink pictured is matcha, another is diluted Calpis melon. You could also get a green salad if you desired
The only downside was that we checked in a bit late and got a room facing the main road, so the traffic noise was quite disruptive to a peaceful night's sleep
This hotel was super easy to find, right outside the subway exit, which was incredibly convenient. I chose it because I was taking the Shinkansen to Tokyo Station and found out it was very close to Tokyo Station too

Tokyo, 4-8-5 Kosuge Katsushika-ku (11 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel seems a bit older and its location is a bit out of the way, but the price is definitely better than other places. It's a pretty good option for a one or two-night stay
Overall, it’s acceptable for a budget stay, but cleanliness and room comfort could be improved
This hotel is comfortable and conveniently located near the station, convenience stores, and restaurants. The amenities are good, and both the bed and comfort room are clean
The only small inconvenience is that there is no microwave oven inside the room—it is only available on the first floor near the reception area, probably for safety reasons
This is my second time staying in this hotel, the location is great just few minutes walk to the MRT and there are lots of restaurants and supermarkets nearby
There's also a convenience store nearby, which is very handy

Tokyo, 2-1-1 Iwamoto-cho, Chiyoda-ku (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
While the rooms follow the typical compact Japanese style, they are exceptionally comfortable, modern, and fully equipped with everything you need
It’s the perfect 'home base': affordable, clean, and designed for those who spend their day exploring the city and need a high-quality place to rest
Surrounded by a vibrant dining scene and excellent transport links, it’s just steps away from museums and key landmarks
Good Hotel. Very clean, close to Kanda Station, just one after Tokyo Station. The room are very little, but I guess all Tokyo rooms are like that
Great rooms for a great prize. I was a bit unlucky with the bed. Amazing service and very friendly staff.

Tokyo, 2-17-7, Kabukicho, Shinjuku-ku (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The location is fantastic, especially if you want to go out to eat. The prices of resturants around town arent extortionate, and its close to the nearest JR line
About a 5 minute walk to the bus stop and train station we used. This location was very accessible from most public transport. Other than the mishap with the charging, everyone was very nice
The rooms were very clean, the hotel was well maintained and somewhat easy to navigate. If I was lost on anything, the staff were friendly, even with my limited Japanese
Only complaint is that we asked for a late check out, was charged for it, and then the next day they said it’s not on file. That was bothersome but they said there was nothing they could do
Room service cleaned our room every three days with or without permission for hygiene purposes. We received two room cards but one had to be in the room for the AC to be activated
The walls were super thin! I could hear thr other person in the room next to my on the phone, watching TV. Its a bit overpriced for my taste

Akihabara BAY HOTEL - Caters to Women, Tokyo1 / 19
8.7
Tokyo, 44-4 Kanda Neribeicho (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Lockers are tall and skinny; I had no problems but if you bring a large bag be sure you have a way to store items outside your bag in the locker. There is ample storage for large luggage near the reception area
Cons: the capsule room was warmer than I'd like - I'm not sensitive to heat but it would be too hot for many others. The shower room was also very hot and steamy most of the time
I stayed twice at the Akihabara Bay Hotel: the first time for a 7-night stay, then for a 3-night stay. It’s a simple but efficient capsule hotel
However, there were no signs of the grime or mildew that usually come with so much humidity, and the showers themselves were quite clean
Five floors of capsules, with toilets and lockers on each floor, a lounge on the basement level, and the showers and washing machines on the ground floor. The hostesses are welcoming and kind without being intrusive
Also it never gets 100% dark in there as the light in the hallway where the capsules are placed are not shut off at night. Overall a great hotel! It's so nice and peaceful here

It’s was a good location close to lost of convenience stores, Starbucks other coffee shops and eating places and shopping places. The stations were close by about five to six minutes walking so getting around was easy
It was clean and they replaced towels everyday if you’re saying multiple nights (which I did). Another thing if you’re planning to stay be sure to have your day planned out starting early
Super clean, though I guess that's a common characteristic of Japanese hotels. Very quiet with great soundproofing. There's only one elevator and no stairs, so you often have to wait a while
The location though surrounded by bars which was one of my concerns during the night one of the cons of staying due to being a solo female traveler
But despite that it was street were well lit so it wasn’t too horrible walking back to the hotel. But I would still be mindful about the hours as I’m not someone who stays out late into the night
But the convenience stores are close by so you can pop out to get something to eat and come back or head to the parks that are near by. But overall my stay was fine the location was good for me and it was affordable too

I stayed in the female dorm and there was enough space for my luggage and personal belongings. I especially loved getting a lower bed. The shower had strong water pressure and the toilets were clean and comfortable
Despite being directly under the trains, I found it quiet. Yes, you can hear the trains, but they don’t seem to run all night. I slept great, didn’t even need the ear plugs they provided at check in
The people here are truly wonderful — always welcoming and smiling. As an introvert, I felt very safe and at ease. I enjoyed Tokyo so much, spending my days exploring vinyl bars and playing arcade games most of the time
This is the only hostel I’ve stay in Japan, but this is one of the best I’ve stayed during my international travels. I had a private room on the second floor, convenient to laundry and eating area
I've stayed at this hostel twice now, most recently I stayed here for 2 weeks and had an absolutely wonderful time! The people that work in this hostel are absolutely wonderful –always so friendly and welcoming! ☺️ Location: it's honestly amazing! It's so easily reachable from both Haneda and Narita airport because it's close to 2 different stations! I pushed my suitcase all the way to the hostel...
I think it's also good to mention that there's a convenience store RIGHT NEXT to the hostel, which is super convenient! The room & facilities: I stayed in the all female dorm & honestly, I don't have any complaints! I love that I could close the curtains around my bed which created a nice little cocoon of privacy! There is also definitely enough space to spread out your belongings

My 4th time stay at Sakura Hotel. I really love this place when I travel to Tokyo everytime. Few minutes walk from Ikebukuro station West exit C6. Hotel provides slipper, if you want the towel, you can rent for 100yen
Good customer service and the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, making the experience pleasant overall.
Good location, and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Most can speak good English. I appreciate them letting me practice my Japanese, too!
Toilet and shower room is clean. This is always my first choice when I stay in Tokyo. This time I had tried the dinner menu in cafe
Not bad, it's not the first time I've booked with them, and the price is quite affordable too.
They have a large Cafe Restaurant and best thing is the Lounge Kitchen at the Dormitory floor which is very well equipped The Dormitory beds are of steel frame thus is not very comfortable and makes noise for the lower occupant

Things that i really like; they offer one-time free coffee, cheap and cashless laundry, really3 clean and nice environment
Hotel is really nice and clean. Location is really convenient and quite close to bus station to airport. City center is also at walking distance
The surroundings are beautiful, and the decor is lovely too. I was a bit nervous about staying in a mixed dorm for the first time, but it turned out fine; everyone was quiet and kept to themselves
Staffs are friendly, The view from terrace was amazing. Clean and tidy everywhere but bit far from every station.
It is in the quiet part of town, and right on the river so you can see the Skytree in the distance when you are on the deck. It's a really nice environment and I stayed here a few times when I stayed in Tokyo
Excellent service, spotlessly clean rooms, incredibly friendly staff, and stunning views. A perfect place to stay. If I ever return to Japan, this will absolutely be my top choice for accommodation!

Four of us shared a room, and we were all very considerate, so there was no noise. The front desk service was excellent. Breakfast was a bit simple, but the location was fantastic, and they even offer luggage storage!
I had planned to go to the SEVENTEEN concert at Tokyo Dome, so I was searching for a convenient place to stay. This hotel, located just one station away and a short walk from the station, was the perfect find
Didn't realize it's very near to Shueisha office 😄. Everything is good, but it would be better if the room door is opaque.
The area is well-served with convenience stores, restaurants, and vending machines. The staff were welcoming and helpful
Nice way to live in the great district for a small price. I prefer hostels to capsule hotels — bed here is big enough.
However, it was perfectly adequate for a solo traveler and I was able to fit my 28-inch suitcase on the floor. The bed was a fold-out and wasn't the most comfortable, but it was good enough for a one-night stay

Great hotel for the money, I couldn't believe you could get a private room for this price. So nice after spending a few nights in a capsule hotel at twice the price
Overall, I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance. This hotel, conveniently located near the station, boasted an amazing view. As it was a women-only floor, I didn't have to worry about encountering men
The toilet is on the same floor and was always available. The bathhouse on the first floor has a pleasant onsen. It's perfect for travelers to relax after long walks. I felt very comfortable and peaceful
Since this is not a business trip, I'm on a tight budget, so am able to put up with such minor inconveniences
Room was clean, staff polite and willing to speak English, and the sento was a nice bonus. Make sure you mind the curfew if staying here, overall I recommend spending a quiet night or two here when in Tokyo
My only minor quibbles were that, despite being someone who can sleep almost anywhere, I was in a room close to a sink in the hallway and was woken up by the sound of it being used

Knew that the place was small so the lugguges have to be placed at their lobby! Had to have everything needed to be taken out & carried to the room instead~ Was actually out for the whole day so it was of much a issue
The location is fantastic, just one stop away from Tokyo Big Sight, which was super convenient and saved us hard-working folks some money by staying nearby. My experience during the stay was excellent too
I actually love that there is a 24 hour noodles shop nearby & the noodles is really good~ Will stay here again for next solo trip if it's near my event venue!
I had to move out because the hotel was fully booked for my subsequent dates, but they still allowed me to leave my luggage there until I left Japan today
There was a Russian lady at the front desk who wasn't very good at English, but she still made a great effort to communicate with me
I genuinely thank all of them from the bottom of my heart, and I hope more of my fellow Chinese travelers will choose to stay here – it's affordable and has a great location!

there is also cafetarian with drink vending machine, free wifi, microwave, and charging slot for your smartphone
Great location to have somewhere to rest after exploring all day

Not much to do in the immediate area, but there is some good food across the tracks near Minami-senju. I speak only broken Japanese, but we were able to communicate fine. They are very respectful and helpful
The rooms have a small TV and mini-fridge, as well as a small bedside table. The rooms I was assigned also had a small balcony if you wanted to go outside. Overall, I am very happy with this place
On-site showers which are 24/7 use, and a sento (communal bath), which is assigned time periods for each gender throughout the day. Both have shampoo, conditioner, and body soap provided
Very affordable business hotel with small/single-person rooms. Located very close to Minami-senju station with access to JR Joban, JR Tsukuba Express, and Tokyo Metro Hibiya lines

Simple and cheap, it has tatami and futon rooms, ideal for authentic Japanese experience, not the best at services and cleaning, but good for short stays and quite affordable
Very helpful and nice staff! I love those types of single person tatami rooms. They provide you a yukata. You can wash your clothes here for a small charge. I wholeheardly recommend this place to stay 🥰
Now, they even have a Chinese-speaking staff member at the front desk, which is incredibly friendly for Chinese travelers. The single rooms are very clean, with no strange odors on the bedding or sheets
Located in the heart of the city with a view of Tokyo Skytree from your window! It’s just a bit far from the nearest train station (Minami-Senju is what I always use and it’s about 12 minutes walk
This isn't my first time staying at this hostel, and it truly offers incredible value for money. It's rare to find a private room in downtown Tokyo at such an affordable price
Plus, there's a hot water dispenser available for warm water anytime. It might be a bit of a walk from Minami-Senju Station, but for this price, it's definitely worth it

The room is extremely small, but equipped with everything you need: a bed (I ordered a mixed bed – I prefer a futon, while my partner preferred European bedding), warm and very pretty blankets (the polka dots are a delight), a refrigerator, Wi-Fi, a hairdryer, hangers, and towels
The shared sinks are also convenient and beyond praise. The street is small and quiet. The lobby has a keyboard and a large selection of Japanese books. The hot water from the tap is really hot and has good pressure
Two hot water dispensers and a microwave are available for everyone on the same floor. The shower, bath, and toilets are excellent. Laundry facilities are available on site for a nominal fee
The hotel is perfectly located near the metro, and there are plenty of grocery stores nearby to cover your daily needs. Guests are from both abroad and Japan
The stairs are steep, and the slippers are oversized, so sometimes it's safer to wear socks without them
A decent building, decent interior ambience. Modern but small. One bed + one mat is provided, good for two people. 1.0 km walk from train station. Train is close to Akihabara
