Tokyo, 3-10-1 Kandamisaki-cho, Tiyoda, 101-0061 Tokio, Yaponiya (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
For a solo or minimalistic traveller, it does the job! Bed is big enough for even 2, it's basic but comfortable, privacy is great with the rollable curtains to hide entrance but it's not sound proof (can hear people snoring)
The location is excellent, just about 100 meters from the west exit of Suidobashi subway station
Great environment. It's located downtown, with shrines and parks nearby, making it convenient for getting around.
The 'ladies only' floor and lockers require a room key to access, which made me feel very secure. The locker was just big enough to fit my 28-inch suitcase! 👍🏽 The rooms are cleaned daily at 11 AM, and sheets are changed
There's a FamilyMart convenience store right downstairs, and a delicious soba noodle place too! 😋 The environment is great, but it's a bit inconvenient that the capsule only has USB charging
A nice touch was the complimentary tonic booster drink for guests. Overall, the capsule experience was unique and enjoyable. I do wonder if capsule hotels for couples exist — that would be an interesting concept to try!

Excellent hotel, breakfast had plenty of choice and was quite tasty compared to most other hotels. Amenities in abundance available on ground floor and your room has everything else that you need
Facilities: The soundproofing in the room wasn't great. The people next door were making a lot of noise; I even thought they were knocking on my door. Cleanliness: This was excellent, very clean
There was a good choice of food in the buffet and everything we ate was lovely. The hotel is close to Kojimachi metro station, just across the road from exit 5 so simple for travelling options
Environment: The hotel is in a quiet spot despite being in a lively area. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, plus a popular photo spot
It's just a short walk from Exit 5 of Kojimachi subway station; other exits are a bit further. Service: The front desk service was very good
Location has a little far from train station . It use about 10 minute for walking to JR station . But room is clean and very good service .

Knew that the place was small so the lugguges have to be placed at their lobby! Had to have everything needed to be taken out & carried to the room instead~ Was actually out for the whole day so it was of much a issue
The location is fantastic, just one stop away from Tokyo Big Sight, which was super convenient and saved us hard-working folks some money by staying nearby. My experience during the stay was excellent too
I actually love that there is a 24 hour noodles shop nearby & the noodles is really good~ Will stay here again for next solo trip if it's near my event venue!
I had to move out because the hotel was fully booked for my subsequent dates, but they still allowed me to leave my luggage there until I left Japan today
There was a Russian lady at the front desk who wasn't very good at English, but she still made a great effort to communicate with me
I genuinely thank all of them from the bottom of my heart, and I hope more of my fellow Chinese travelers will choose to stay here – it's affordable and has a great location!

Tokyo, 1-23-3 Mukojima, Sumida, 131-0033 Tokio, Yaponiya (7 km from centre) 🧭 Map
I stayed in the female dorm and there was enough space for my luggage and personal belongings. I especially loved getting a lower bed. The shower had strong water pressure and the toilets were clean and comfortable
Despite being directly under the trains, I found it quiet. Yes, you can hear the trains, but they don’t seem to run all night. I slept great, didn’t even need the ear plugs they provided at check in
The people here are truly wonderful — always welcoming and smiling. As an introvert, I felt very safe and at ease. I enjoyed Tokyo so much, spending my days exploring vinyl bars and playing arcade games most of the time
This is the only hostel I’ve stay in Japan, but this is one of the best I’ve stayed during my international travels. I had a private room on the second floor, convenient to laundry and eating area
I've stayed at this hostel twice now, most recently I stayed here for 2 weeks and had an absolutely wonderful time! The people that work in this hostel are absolutely wonderful –always so friendly and welcoming! ☺️ Location: it's honestly amazing! It's so easily reachable from both Haneda and Narita airport because it's close to 2 different stations! I pushed my suitcase all the way to the hostel...
I think it's also good to mention that there's a convenience store RIGHT NEXT to the hostel, which is super convenient! The room & facilities: I stayed in the all female dorm & honestly, I don't have any complaints! I love that I could close the curtains around my bed which created a nice little cocoon of privacy! There is also definitely enough space to spread out your belongings

The room lights were broken, and the soundproofing and light-blocking weren't great. However, the overall environment was clean and tidy, the bathroom and shower were comfortable, and there's a coffee shop downstairs
Very cool and peppy environment. The staff are very helpful and speak English. The hotel ( or a dormitory) has various options like bunk beds and regular rooms for families. The cafe is open to local visitors too
I stayed at a single room, which is enough for me at really affordable cost. And its near kuramae station, so it’s easy to get around.
I just stayed at this hostel with my friends from April 10th-15th, and it was a fantastic experience, especially for a short trip
Good value for money but we stayed in a room that was the size of the bed :)
Focus Kuramae is great as always, my first stop for Tokyo by far.

Great hotel for the money, I couldn't believe you could get a private room for this price. So nice after spending a few nights in a capsule hotel at twice the price
Overall, I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance. This hotel, conveniently located near the station, boasted an amazing view. As it was a women-only floor, I didn't have to worry about encountering men
The toilet is on the same floor and was always available. The bathhouse on the first floor has a pleasant onsen. It's perfect for travelers to relax after long walks. I felt very comfortable and peaceful
Since this is not a business trip, I'm on a tight budget, so am able to put up with such minor inconveniences
Room was clean, staff polite and willing to speak English, and the sento was a nice bonus. Make sure you mind the curfew if staying here, overall I recommend spending a quiet night or two here when in Tokyo
My only minor quibbles were that, despite being someone who can sleep almost anywhere, I was in a room close to a sink in the hallway and was woken up by the sound of it being used

The location at 9 o'clock is great, very close to the subway station, making it super convenient to get around. The accommodation environment is also very good, everyone consciously abides by the rules
The location is excellent, with two subway stations within a five-minute walk. The facilities are also very comprehensive, and you can see the Tokyo Skytree directly from the balcony
Excellent! The staff are all very enthusiastic. There's even a foreign guy who speaks Chinese! You can see the Skytree from the sixth-floor balcony. Come and stay here!
The view from the 6th floor is fantastic, you can even see the Skytree. I'll definitely choose this place again if I have the chance
The sleeping environment was very comfortable, and my roommate was very considerate
Location is good, quick access to metro stations. View from the top floor is nice.

Anything hostels in Japan is really clean. I love everything about this place. They speak good English as well. The receptionist are kind and helpful enough. All the amenities are good and fresh
Also, people there are all very sincere, they will mind their own business. I was speaking to some of them, and I made some friends. There'll be a lady cleaning the room every morning too
Cocts has one of the friendliest hostel staff ever! I appreciate being treated by friendly, helpful and curious staff. They also recommended me places to go when I had no plans
I really appreciated the 11 AM checkout. The soundproofing was good, and the mattress was very soft and comfortable. For the price, it's definitely worth it. Recommended!
Out of the three similar guesthouses around 20,000 won I've stayed in recently, this one felt the most welcoming. They even give you matcha donuts for breakfast
Honestly, before coming here I was a bit worried of luggage space and etc. But they have a locker, a locked room where you keep your lugagges in your room

There’s also a shared powder room with three sinks and mirrors in the dorm. Location wise, it’s very close to a couple train stations that usually aren’t too busy. Even has a great view from the 10th floor
They also have detergent-less coin washers and dryers in the other room next to the entrance. The staff was very helpful with any questions and even provided a map with recommended nearby restaurants
When I needed to check in with my new guesthouse, he helped call them and arrange transportation alongside staff member Mikio. Thank you for the stellar service
The personal lockers aren’t too big, they could fit a small backpack and some other items, but everyone put their big luggage in the back behind the bunk beds where there was plenty of room
This is our second time staying at Oak Hotel Edo and we were greeted with a very sweet welcome card written by the staff. We enjoyed both our stays at this quiet and clean hotel
With a train station and bus station a block a way the location is excellent, there’s also plenty of restaurants nearby and a laundry room right outside the lobby

Not much to do in the immediate area, but there is some good food across the tracks near Minami-senju. I speak only broken Japanese, but we were able to communicate fine. They are very respectful and helpful
The rooms have a small TV and mini-fridge, as well as a small bedside table. The rooms I was assigned also had a small balcony if you wanted to go outside. Overall, I am very happy with this place
On-site showers which are 24/7 use, and a sento (communal bath), which is assigned time periods for each gender throughout the day. Both have shampoo, conditioner, and body soap provided
Very affordable business hotel with small/single-person rooms. Located very close to Minami-senju station with access to JR Joban, JR Tsukuba Express, and Tokyo Metro Hibiya lines
Next time I am in Tokyo, I will absolutely be staying here
Good for solo traveller. Place is clean but thia area lack food options and need to take train to ueno for food. Near to sumida river 20mins walk

There is no sign in English at the entrance. I haven’t noticed I need to pay at the property and there’s a deposit. The beds! They are too loud! Not really comfy
The toilet and shower in your common room so I was worrying I woke everyone up. But aside from that it’s okay
One last thing, I just hope that the management could pay more attention to the cleanliness, because I noticed the customers turnovers are high hence they change the sheets basically every new person comes in and did the bare cleaning in between
I stayed in the 4-bed rooms; it has 2 bunk beds, 4 lockers, 1 dresser and a private toilet inside the room. It was pretty cramped, hence I suggest you bring a cabin bag/duffle bag for your packing/unpacking convenience
The room was small and some bunk beds were creaky and noisy but despite this everything was quiet comfortable. Clean toilets and showers, free of charge space for keeping your luggage, manga collection etc
I love the location, it's just a 5-10 mins walk from 2 nearest stations (Akasaka-Mitsuke station and Akasaka station), direct line from/to Narita airport, making transportation really easy

Remote area, budget option. Friendly staff. It's okay for a hostel; the building is old. There's air conditioning in the room, and the bed is comfortable enough, but not very wide.
The hotel is really nice, we had this trip over the winter and it felt really good going on the room and it was warm. The bed and sheets were really confortable. There is also an onsen at the hotel which is very handy.
The accommodation was very clean, and there were plenty of toilets on both floors. The 24-hour showers use a push-button auto-shutoff system, which was a bit inconvenient
The price/performance ratio is really very high. It is considered a very cost-effective house in Tokyo. It is a clean independent cottage
The location is a ten-minute walk from the station, but it's a straight and easy path. All the facilities were well-equipped
It needs to be booked in advance, otherwise there may not be a room for you if you need to stay there temporarily like me

With JR and subway access, it's quite convenient to get to other places. This time, I discovered that about a 15-minute walk from Minamisenju, you can find the super-secret Minowabashi Station on the Arakawa Line tram
No issues at all, apart from the small room size. The price was good, and even though the single room didn't have a private bathroom or toilet, the shared facilities were very clean and rarely used
Two stops from Nippori Station, about a ten-minute walk from the station. There are supermarkets opposite the accommodation and outside the station. The room is small and basic, just enough to open a large suitcase
A large blanket is provided, which makes for a comfortable sleep. The environment is very clean, and there's a microwave and hot/cold water, but no conditioner. For this price, there's nothing to complain about
The room was spacious enough for 1 person, i can open my 28 inch luggage there easily. For the price that i paid, i can say it’s worth the price. One thing that i like, it’s equipped with mini refrigerator
The location is excellent, with a large supermarket and several convenience stores nearby. It's also just a 5-minute walk to both the JR station and a subway station

The place is small but well-organized. The bathroom is very clean. The accommodation is not far from the station, and the area is a fun nightlife district.
Not bad. The environment is pretty good and it's very convenient.
It's very convenient to follow the navigation. The room is small, so you have to put your suitcases outside. 6 kilometers away from Tokyo Tower, which is very convenient. There are many kinds of food around
There are a lot of businesses people staying so it will get a little bit more louder around 7-8 am. The last night I stayed in the female dorms was great though
The hostel has a great location near Shinbashi statio. Even tho it is a bit small, it works for a short stay ;)
The front desk staff were also very polite! I also liked that they provided loungewear and toothbrushes!

Simple and cheap, it has tatami and futon rooms, ideal for authentic Japanese experience, not the best at services and cleaning, but good for short stays and quite affordable
Very helpful and nice staff! I love those types of single person tatami rooms. They provide you a yukata. You can wash your clothes here for a small charge. I wholeheardly recommend this place to stay 🥰
Now, they even have a Chinese-speaking staff member at the front desk, which is incredibly friendly for Chinese travelers. The single rooms are very clean, with no strange odors on the bedding or sheets
Located in the heart of the city with a view of Tokyo Skytree from your window! It’s just a bit far from the nearest train station (Minami-Senju is what I always use and it’s about 12 minutes walk
This isn't my first time staying at this hostel, and it truly offers incredible value for money. It's rare to find a private room in downtown Tokyo at such an affordable price
Plus, there's a hot water dispenser available for warm water anytime. It might be a bit of a walk from Minami-Senju Station, but for this price, it's definitely worth it

Location was nice, staff was helpful, and clean. Would recommend to anyone traveling on a budget
While the location is relaxed, this hostel is decent, but overhyped. The dorm style beds are less soundproof than comparable places as there is a curtain in the front and back
It was really clean, like a new building, and the private space was cozy. The bathroom and toilet were also very clean, and it wasn't crowded, so I was able to rest comfortably! The location was also very convenient.
It had been quite a while since I last stayed in a unisex dormitory, so I was a little worried, but it was very clean. There were a lot of foreign guests, so it felt like I was in a foreign country, which was nice
I liked everything about the hotel, from location to fantastic service by staff members, atmosphere during the day and evenings, the cleanliness and more. I do recommend this property a lot
It was a very small section that if you are claustrophobic, it may get to you. Keeping my stuff was a tight fit but I was backpacking, so it really did not bother me too much

It's difficult for me to be objective when my stay was made excellent by so many different things, but I'll try. The staff speak enough English to help you settle in. Their attitude towards foreigners is also really nice
I'm a fan of games, anime and otaku culture, so I spent a lot of my time out in Akihabara. To get there, it's two stops west on the Tsukuba Express, for which the station is actually the closest one to the hotel
Just south of the temple is where you'll find the confusing cluster of buildings and tunnels referred to as Asakusa Station. Lines are spread out among three different companies and it's hard to walk between them
You can't expect to have an in-depth conversation about movies, but you can expect to be treated with respect and valued as a guest. You will not be made to feel stupid for not knowing the language
You have space to walk, sleep and store your stuff. I was very tempted to invite some friends over to play videogames, but it is important to note that non-staying guests are explicitly prohibited
If you're confident enough to eat at local businesses, you really should. There are many small restaurants and food stands all over the Asakusa area and everything you can get is delicious

Tokyo, 1 Chome-8-1 Kamiikebukuro, Tosima, 170-0012 Tokio, Yaponiya (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
It's a little way from the station, but if you're familiar with Ikebukuro's otaku stores, like Animate and Otome Street, or even if you're a road junkie like me, you'll probably be familiar with them after just two visits
Remember to remember your email password. The male staff speaks Chinese. There's no elevator, so it's not convenient for people with luggage. There's a common area on the second floor
Only shampoo and shower gel, hair dryer, and disposable paper slippers are provided, but no towel rental is provided. Therefore, you need to bring your own towels, toothbrushing supplies, and facial washing supplies
If you really don’t have it with you, you can buy it from LAWSON or Daiso. The saloon on the second floor is the only place where you can eat and drink, and both the refrigerator and the kitchen can be used
The day of check-in was a Saturday, so many girls left the next day. There were many people packing their luggage and dressing up on Saturday night and Sunday morning, so it was quite noisy
Basically, 11:00-15:00 is the cleaning time in the museum. First change your shoes at the entrance to the second floor and then go to your bed. There will be a form to fill in on the bed

The room is extremely small, but equipped with everything you need: a bed (I ordered a mixed bed – I prefer a futon, while my partner preferred European bedding), warm and very pretty blankets (the polka dots are a delight), a refrigerator, Wi-Fi, a hairdryer, hangers, and towels
The shared sinks are also convenient and beyond praise. The street is small and quiet. The lobby has a keyboard and a large selection of Japanese books. The hot water from the tap is really hot and has good pressure
Two hot water dispensers and a microwave are available for everyone on the same floor. The shower, bath, and toilets are excellent. Laundry facilities are available on site for a nominal fee
The hotel is perfectly located near the metro, and there are plenty of grocery stores nearby to cover your daily needs. Guests are from both abroad and Japan
The stairs are steep, and the slippers are oversized, so sometimes it's safer to wear socks without them
A decent building, decent interior ambience. Modern but small. One bed + one mat is provided, good for two people. 1.0 km walk from train station. Train is close to Akihabara
