APA Hotel Iidabashi Ekiminami in Tokyo

I had a concert at Tokyo Dome, and all the nearby hotels were booked, so I booked APA for the first time and loved it.

It was in a very convenient location.

I was bothered by the sound of cars driving early in the morning.

Stayed here for 4 nights and my room was as described. Small by Western standards, I had the space I needed and appreciated the luggage storage space under the bed. Lots of toiletries available in addition to shampoo, condition and shower gel, such as razors, hair brush, cotton clothes and ear buds. Room was clean and tidy, with English instructions for all working parts - lights, air con and toilet. I was able to use hands free travel, which was quick and easy to arrange, there were forms in my room and the reception people helped with a couple of areas I was unsure about. To note when I asked prior to my arrival if luggage forwarding was available I was told not, I think this was my use of words and I should have asked for hands free travel. At reception the staff have a translation device, which helped as my Japanese is at basic level at this time. It is located near to 2x metro lines which was perfect for where I was wanting to visit. I am using this hotel 3 times in total during my trip and am very happy to be returning.

Check in was very easy as the staff was very helpful (in English as well). The room was clean but quite dusty. It’s decent size by Japanese standards. However, the bathroom is tiny. Near no standing space getting out of the shower.

This is also the first hotel I’ve been to that doesn’t have a heated toilet seat. The toilet seat does have bum detection as when I sat on it I could feel it press, but no heat. Maybe it was just my room, unsure. The shower head was also very leaky in my room. Water was running down the shower wall while using it.

Rooms were small but well maintained. Good value for money. Overall had a good experience living here.

Google maps failed me when I was navigating the place, probably just the internet data. But this was very accessible from Iidabashi Station (Tozai Line), just a short distance, actually. But if you wanted to be closer to the train station, chose Eki-Mae and not Eki-Minami. Nevertheless, you still get your money's worth staying here.
Staff are great and speak passable English. Rooms are small, but I believe they are typical size in the country. The wifi was not good on our last day of stay, but we were mostly out the whole day on the other days, so it's hard to say it was like that daily.
Would I return here in the future? Yes, I would if I need to be closer to Tokyo Dome or if the Eki-Mae branch was full.

This hotel is so convenient to transport being just 5 min walk to Iidabashi Station, and there are many late night food options along the way. The rooms in APA hotels are not big but they are perfect if you are looking for somewhere to sleep overnight and explore the city all day. highly recomended.

The service is good and very accommodating even to foreigners like myself. The hotel also has a restaurant in its name right by the entrance which serves delicious curry and pork cutlets. The rooms are a tad small but it still feels luxurious and accomadating. I do recommend it to any curious people especially foreigners.
