I visited in winter, and I highly recommend the package that includes breakfast. Even though there's a convenience store just a block away, it's too cold in the morning. Being able to enjoy a freshly prepared Western breakfast without having to go out was great, and the staff's English was excellent.

The room was a bit small, and there wasn't a good place to put luggage. The soundproofing was also quite poor; I could clearly hear people talking in the common area at night, though I know that's primarily their issue. Overall, it was okay.

Absolutely loved this hostel.

The way the beds are arranged mean that nobody is next to you, which led to better privacy. The common spaces were clean and well used by guests and the staff were amazing. One of the better hostels I have stayed at in my time.

The showers are small, but that’s comparative for bathrooms in Japan.

The front desk staff were super friendly and nice! The price was quite affordable, and it was easy to find. In a multi-person dorm, snoring is pretty much inevitable, but with earplugs, it was fine, and I slept pretty well.

This is my third time staying at Imano Hostel. The front desk staff are very friendly, and most importantly, the location is incredibly convenient. It's right next to Shinjuku-sanchome in Tokyo, making it super easy to get anywhere in the city. The rooms are basic hostel style, but for this price in Tokyo, especially given the location, it's pretty good. The washrooms are convenient, and the shower water is wonderfully hot. I'll definitely choose Imano again next time.

The room and toilet are clean. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. It is a bit far away from JR Shinjuku station.

It was extremelly warm in a room - if you want to open the window it was written please dont open window except for emergency. On the other hand, if you want to lower temperature on AC, its written please do not put temperature lower than 23 degrees. Also, they have these messages everywhere - please dont do this, dont do this... also, if you are visiting from abroad, you wont be able to charge your phone with european plug type and they didnt bother to provide universal plug ins.

Great staff and cleanliness, but some guests could be more considerate

Had a very pleasant stay at IMANO Hostel Tokyo. The staff were extremely friendly, polite, and helpful. They kept the place clean and made the atmosphere very welcoming. The facilities, showers, and toilets were all well maintained and tidy.

However, some other travelers were not so considerate and made the shared spaces dirty with food stains at times, which was disappointing since the staff clearly work hard to keep everything clean.

The location is quite convenient, it's pretty close to the nearest station, but a bit far if you’re heading to the main Shinjuku Station area

In the morning roughly around 10am, few girls will sell bentos outside the hostel, they're pretty cheap and very delicious, give them a try.

Overall, recommended. Definitely a great place to stay in Tokyo.

My Hostel in Shinjuku ~

Imani Tokyo Hostel
So Far So Good ~
Comfy beds with lift, cafe on lobby, a good place to meet new friends 👍🏻
Even have BathTub 🛁 🤩🤩🤩🤩
It has ONLY 2 Showers 🚿 (one out of service) in the 3rd floor for females,at least 36 people 🥹🥹🥹🥹 Yet so many toilets(5 toilets) …

Nice staff and they are helpful! 24,hrs check-in good for people with flight with odd hrs

Close to Shinjuku Sam Chome Metro Station (新宿三丁目E1 出口) exit E1, about 5 minute’s walk go out, cross the zebra crossing, walk to the other side, go straight, it’s just opposite Via Inn Hotel Shinjuku,
