The hotel's restaurant has good food and service, but there are queues for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and no one told us we could call ahead to reserve a table. Water activities also require reservations, and they don't accept phone bookings; you have to go early in the morning to get a spot, which is a bit too primitive 😂.
The beach and pool are beautiful, and the rooms are well-maintained. The off-season price seems reasonable.
The hotel has a shuttle service that runs regularly to and from the Hoshino Resorts Banyan Tree Iriomote, allowing guests to enjoy their 8 pools. Right next door to the hotel is the famous Hoshino Coffee, a must-try.
2）The hotel is rather old and dilapidated, room lights are dim, but its old-fashioned design is overshadowed by the stunning sea view.

The hotel is very old, and unfortunately not looked after: lots of damages and very dirty.
On our day of arrival we immediately tried to negotiate some kind of refund as it was clear for us that we will not stay in that hotel, not even one night. Neither the hotel management nor Trip.com were able to give us any refund. It was a lengthy process without any outcome, except the hotel offering us a different room which did not smell as bad as the first one, but otherwise also did not look okay.
