Smile Hotel Sendai Izumi IC, Sendai1 / 27
7.3
Sendai, 213 3 Osawa Izumi Ku (9 km from centre) 🧭 Map
It's not fancy but the staff ate lovely, the hotel is quiet and clean , the breakfasts are excellent and very cheap and it's one of my favourite hotels in Miyagi. It's a little out of the way but bus service is nearby and its easy to get to Izumi- chuo station. I preferred the walk - good exercise!
I stayed here for one night for business. It was clean and the staff were very helpful. It's conveniently located near the Sendai Izumi Interchange, but there aren't many stores nearby, and even convenience stores are hard to get to without a car. The lobby has a microwave, so you can eat and drink, but alcohol is not allowed.
This is a hotel. That sounds incredibly basic, because it is. You get a room, but there’s nothing luxurious about it. It’s clean in the ways that matter, and pretty dated in the ways that don’t. You can tell where the low prices are coming from, but I’d call it good cost prioritization.
I stayed on the first floor and couldn't even open the curtains because there was a parking lot outside the window and people were walking around. There was no coffee in the building, so I had to go to the convenience store outside to buy some. There was only a unit bath in the room, but there was a super public bath nearby so I was glad I used that. This time I only stayed to sleep, so it can't be...
I couldn't find a hotel near the station, so I came here. We had to make a few changes, but they were able to accommodate them. thank you very much.
It's close to the interchange, so traveling at high speed is smooth. There are various shops nearby, so it's very convenient. If I can stay at this price, I would like to stay again.

The place is very clean, modern and very nicely decorated. The room, dining area and relaxing area can’t be complained. There is a live jazz band performing at night in the lobby area where a huge fireplace is located at the center. Cozy and relaxing indeed. Re meals, buffet styled with a lot of choices available. I enjoyed my stay a lot.
Very nice experience with lounge services all day round Free shuttle available
The hotel service was excellent, and the setting was exquisite and beautiful, especially with the snow falling outside. The large glass windows in the lobby offered stunning views of the snowy landscape, and there were chairs next to the bed where we could relax and enjoy the scenery. There's a snack area, and a fireplace where you can warm up and chat. Snacks, wine, and coffee are all included. Our...
The hotel had a nice view. I contacted them a day in advance and they said they couldn't pick me up from Sendai, only from the train station. When I booked, I saw they could pick me up from Sendai, so I bought a ticket to Sendai. I had no choice but to contact Ctrip. Ctrip's service was quite good; they immediately provided a solution. The indoor soaking tub was okay, but the outdoor tub was very small...
As soon as I got off the JR line, the hotel was waiting for me 👍. I booked the most basic room, which was small but quite clean. There was no shower in the room. The hotel courtyard was beautiful, and there were many activities available, but we hadn't done our research beforehand, so we missed some. The Hirose River Gen Open-Air Bath was stunning, built against the natural scenery, and was the most...
The room was small and didn't even have a bathroom. There weren't even large towels for bathing. You had to use the hot springs. While the food was buffet style, the Japanese and Western alcoholic beverages and food were delicious and plentiful, making it a great value. The natural private bath, Jingmei Oka (for women), had plenty of amenities, but the men's bath was simpler, hence the nickname "Beauty...

Sendai, 1-3-6 Omachi, Aoba-ku (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Very good value for money. The rooms are a little bit outdated but given the price, you can’t expect better. Clean and quiet.
The room separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom. Breakfast is served bento-style. those who love shopping. you can walk from the hotel through the clips road shopping street until sendai station.
The room was great, and the separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom really boosted its value for money. It's just a 5-minute walk from Aoba-dori Ichibancho, making transportation and dining super convenient.
The room was quite clean, but the hotel staff didn't speak Chinese, mostly Japanese.
Facilities: As expected from a chain hotel, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Hygiene: Livemax's hygiene is standard, nothing exceptional but perfectly adequate. Environment: The location is very convenient; you can walk to all the attractions. There's a 7-Eleven downstairs and other convenience stores, and it's easy to get to the shopping street. For this price, I have no complaints...

The facilities are a bit old, but they're clean, so it didn't bother me. The front desk staff are a little inefficient, so make sure you have plenty of time when you check in/out.
Very good location…close to sendai station about 5-10 mins walk and very close to sendai morning market.
Very close to the station, which makes traveling convenient. There's a small breakfast available, and it's near the fish market.
I had a great experience staying at this hotel. The staffs are nice and kind. You can ask to left the baggage before you check in. The location is great, easy walk from sendai station about 5 mins. Love this hotel!
It's amazing how close it is to Sendai Station and so cheap! While it's a little dated, it was perfectly adequate for a business trip where I only needed to sleep. For some reason, the bath mat wasn't provided for the second day. 😭 I folded my bath towel and used it, so it wasn't a problem.
Just a 5-minute walk from JR Sendai Station, this hotel offers excellent convenience for travelers. While the rooms aren't particularly large or luxurious, they are very affordable and provide great value for money.

Good clear and price reasonable, with free refreshment from 3 pm to 11 pm serve at a ver nice chill restaurant at 3rd floor and all the food are very yummy.
The hotel's location is very convenient, just a bus stop away. The environment is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the dinner was plentiful and delicious. The breakfast was also plentiful. I really liked the hot spring water; it was very clean, with two pools, one outside and one inside. I really enjoyed it.
We didn't order dinner, but there's a hidden gem of a sushi restaurant nearby. It was excellent value for money. The hotel breakfast was a buffet, and it was so good I ate way too much.
The facilities, hospitality, service, food, and baths were all excellent. The free lounge was wonderfully well-stocked. The waitresses were trained by Myanmar staff, and their hospitality was also excellent. I would definitely like to use this inn again.
I've stayed here about 5 or 6 times now, and every visit, the cleanliness is impeccable and the service is excellent. The staff's polite language and their commitment to ensuring guests never feel uncomfortable truly put me at ease. This time, for the first time, I opted for a room-only stay as I wanted to enjoy a relaxing hot spring trip without any interference. (Previously, my best friend and I...
My impression was that it was one of the smaller hot spring inns in Akiu. However, the dining area and large public bath were not crowded, which was nice as I was able to spend my time there in peace. The lounge, which is exclusive to guests, offers all-you-can-drink drinks, including alcoholic beverages, and also serves mini cakes, making it the perfect place to relax after a bath.

Sendai, 4-10 Futsukamachi, Aoba-ku (in the centre) 🧭 Map
This was my first time staying here. It was surprisingly affordable. Although it looks old, it was clean and the room was spacious and a twin room for single use. However, APA's construction does not provide good soundproofing for the rooms next door and above, so you can hear the person next door sneezing as if it were happening right in front of you.
Excellent hospitality and service. The staffs greet us everytime. The heater works very well during winter. It makes us warm and comfortable. The water is clean, the hot water comes out quickly.
Due to the closure of the fixed camp, we are looking for a new inn around Hirose-dori-Kotodai Park. The equipment is rather old. I don't like it when it rains because I walk a little from the station. The customer service of the employees is the best. .. ..
I stayed cheaply, but it's a little far from the station. I received "President's Curry" during the event 🙌 I was happy because I wanted to eat it. It was delicious 👍
Nice and clean as expected from APA hotel front desk were great although couldn't speak English but didn't let that stop them from trying to help us get where we needed to go

Room is clean and smoke free. 15 mins walk away from Sendai station. Luggage storage. Machine with water, coffee, tea and apple juice in lobby. Employees are really nice. Vietnamese restaurant once you step outside. Convenience store across the street.
Everything you need, you will have it there, comfy and nice space really close to the station
The hotel was good. The toilet doesn’t have a bidet but overall it’s good and I slept so well. I don’t have any issues at all. You can also leave your bag after check out.
I guess you don’t have to worry about the cleanliness in Japan. It is close to Sendai Station! Many big department stores, shops and restaurants around the corner ! I line this place
I left my carrier with them before checking in, but the lady at the reception was very unfriendly and unpleasant, which surprised me. The man at the check-in was very pleasant. Other than that lady at the reception, everything else was satisfactory.
The station is close by, which was helpful. I'll be sure to use it again if I travel nearby.

Convenience location, accessible by bus, walkable distances to shopping area surrounding with delicious food, comfort bed
Not far from the Sendai station, maybe about ten minutes walking. Hotel is newer than other livemax locations I’ve stayed at. Amenities such as toothbrush, comb, etc are provided in the room. Would stay again. Note that the twin beds are placed very close together, almost like one bed.
The location for the hotel is actually quite nice! Very calm and close to the sendai station and can go there by walking. The room is also quite big for two people. Surrounding area is also has restaurants and konbini
10 mins walk to Sendai station, there is a MRT station nearby, room for 2 people is a bit small, but facilities are sufficient with microwave(mainly for lunch box of breakfast), air con., air cleaner etc. the services of front desk are pretty nice, basically, it's budget saving and convenient to have stay here
Booked a single room during the festival season, but the price was still reasonable, and the room was worth the cost. It's a bit of a walk from Sendai Station—about 10 to 15 minutes—but still manageable.
thanks for the nice and affordable stay. appreciated! thanks

The location is good, close to the station and there is a convenience store right in front. The room was not bad, but the Wi-Fi password was hard to find and I thought there was only one elevator.
Considering the location near the station, the price was reasonable and I was satisfied. I thought the air conditioner had three settings, but it was actually a thermostat that could be used to adjust the temperature. However, the water heater was an old model that took a long time to boil, and the amount was small, so I couldn't eat instant yakisoba noodles. Other than that, it was fine.
Although there is some wear and tear due to its age, it is rare to be able to stay here for this price, especially with prices soaring. The staff were also very polite and I have nothing to say. There seems to be a free Wi-Fi access point in each room, but the only password listed is for the hotel's access point. However, I was able to connect to the internet without any problems using the hotel's...
Honestly your average 3 star hotel, except look at the price! For a single room in a hotel, I was paying less than most hostels I have stayed in. I genuinely don't have any complaints at all about the room or the place when I was able to stay 5 minutes from sendai station for less than 20 pounds a night. The only issue I had with the hotel is its weird policy of leaving a key with the staff as you...
It's been a while since my last business trip to Sendai, and I stayed at this hotel again, which I always stayed at before COVID-19, because it was so convenient. Since I was having dinner at night, I could only eat breakfast by myself, so I had a nostalgic two-drink style? The toast was also delicious, and I liked the morning menu here. That's what I did. The breakfast was still very delicious, but...
The interior and the hair dryer installed are quite old, but the room was clean, so it's good. Amenity is also attached firmly. Air conditioning is a dial type. very good and the counter very nice and helpful!! valuable!!
The hotel has a hot spring with high-quality water, leaving your skin smooth after a soak. The staff are courteous and professional, which is admirable. The food is high-quality and made with fresh ingredients. There's also a small shop in the hotel where you can buy souvenirs and even clothes.
The environment is beautiful and the service is considerate. I stayed for four nights and the dinners were different on all four days. They were very unique and delicious. This is definitely a hot spring hotel worth recommending.
The hotel is on the hillside, but the hotel provides bus pick-up service, great! Large towels are provided in the women's bath for guests to walk to the open-air hot spring. A bonfire is prepared next to the hot spring to increase the atmosphere. After the hot spring, guests can enjoy a massage chair in the women's bath locker room. The only drawback is that the one-night stay with two meals package...

The friendly service and excellent facilities made me feel good. The hot springs were also well-maintained. However, the food was a bit disappointing, being buffet-style. I highly recommend it.
The private insen was very relaxing, but the food was a bit mediocre.
The hotel is located in Akibo Onsen and offers excellent value for money. The onsen is very comfortable, the dinner is a very generous buffet with unlimited drinks, and the rooms are very spacious. I will definitely come back next time.
The drivers are courteous and helpful. Upon arrival at the hotel, guests can enjoy complimentary drinks, snacks, and ice cream, a truly heartwarming experience. The building and facilities are old, but they are well-maintained and clean. However, the walls seem thin, so conversations in the hallway and outside noise are a bit noticeable.
It's perfectly adequate if you're just looking for a place to stay.
It's more than a 20-minute walk from Sendai Station, so taking the nearest subway is a smoother way to check in. It was nice that they allowed me to leave my luggage early in the morning and delivered it to my room. I felt the shower water pressure was a bit weak. It was worth the price.
Conveniently located near shopping areas.
I was a bit worried because the price was so low, but it turned out to be a great hotel with good access and it was clean for the price. I'd definitely stay here again if I get the chance.
I stayed in a twin room with a reception set. It was nice and spacious. The beds are two singles so they're a bit small, but I was able to sleep comfortably so it was fine.

When traveling to Sendai, I planned a convenient one-night, two-meal trip to enjoy hot springs. Choosing a hot spring hotel involved many considerations. I wanted a traditional Japanese-style hotel where I could have dinner in my room. I didn't need too many options for the hot spring itself; just an open-air experience would suffice. Nothing luxurious, just simple and practical, perfect for a relaxing...
My husband and I stayed at this inn with breakfast included. It's a small inn within Akiu Onsen, but I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet stay... Perhaps accommodation rates in Sendai's inner sanctum are on the higher side these days due to rising prices and inbound tourism? Soraichi's reasonable accommodation rates are very helpful. I stayed overnight on a weekday, and the hot spring was simply great. I heard they had a circulating hot spring, but it was clean and had a subtle, pleasant scent. The water was lukewarm, so I was able to stay in for a long time. I'm jealous that it's only 30 minutes from Sendai city. It's a walk from the parking lot. The rooms are spacious. I am writing to applaud the great service provided during the ryokan stay. I have booked it from the ryokan official website but they were also responsive from emails to confirm my reservation and stay details. The guy at the front desk was as kind and considerate as always. The hotel was good except for the bathroom which was outside which was inconvenient.
It looks nice and colorful with the mountain bikes and sofas, but there were no people. Actually, this lounge might be closed still. Even before COVID 19, we could use this area to ourselves. Few people gathered here for drinks. Isn't that what a communal spot is for? It's supposed to be a place for people to communicate. Hopefully people slow down and take time to talk to strangers. Life is more interesting...

It's a fairly old hotel, but above all it's clean and cheap to stay. However, the bathroom and toilet are quite small, so it may be a little difficult for people with large bodies. Depending on the room, the Shinkansen passes right next to the window, so it might be nice for children and people who like trains.
