Rahmet Zhanerki (aka JJ) at reception: welcoming & cheery & informative. Curious - yet very convenient - location inside the central mall, then up the stairs to this very colourful hostel, quiet & spacious with comfy dorm, decent clean toilet facilities & ok kitchenette. WiFi fine. Good security. Really great value choice for a stop in Shymkent.

It is the best, best BEST HOSTEL, I have ever seen, discovered, experienced in my life. It is more then a hotel. They have like 4-5 Star Hotel services :) First of all, Hostel location is very good. It is in the center and near by Bus Station. I just made my reservation via *********** in the night and I was so suprised When i arrived to hostel. It is in very quality, luxurt kind of shopping mall-avenue. Reception and Receptionist Ladies are very professional. Everywhere is very very clean. Price is more then GOOD!! Price is very cheap for this service as they provided us. AND... DECOR!!! DESIGN IS VERY UNIQUE, VERY COOL, SWEET, SMART!! This place is really inspired me. I am thinking of opening a Hostel like City Hostel Shymkent in Istanbu, Turkiye :))) I really thank you so so much to investor, owner, management, team and Who ever made this happening :) Rooms are spaciaous, very smart and quality, delicate designed up. Recepcionist Ladies are very knowladgeable and helpfull. Reception has even CITY MAP :) Now adays, you can not even find to city maps in 5 Star Hotels :) Breakfast, lunch area / living room is very comfortable. I was very lucky to meet to DOMBRA, Musician Team. It is ALKISSA DOMBYRA STUDIO. It was a big honor for me to met these amazing guys. They were staying as team/ group accommadation at Hostel and one night they played in living room their DOMBYRA Which was amazing experience for us. Dombra teacher was very good man. We love Kazakhistan very much. Shymkent is very lovely city. We, me definetely come back again to this unique, cool, beautiful country. I think, people need to come Shmykent City Hostel for just having experience, understanding this cool place for inspiration :) Much love and respect from Turkiye.
