Reviews
We chose this hotel for our vacation, booking well in advance to get exactly what we needed—a spacious family room. We've been coming to this hotel every year, once or twice over the past few years. Unfortunately, this time, our expectations were not only not met, but were grossly violated.
The main drawback was the deception upon check-in.
Instead of the family room we'd paid for, they tried to give us a standard room for four, which, what's more, was terribly smoky. Only after our persistent request and a 40-minute wait in the lobby were we given another room, which was being cleaned after the previous guests. It felt as if our pre-booked room had simply been given to someone else. The receptionist tried to convince us that we'd misunderstood the room category on the website. This completely undermined our trust and respect.
Household inconveniences that ruined our vacation:
1. Hot water. In fact, there wasn't any. The tap water was lukewarm all day. Taking a proper shower was impossible. Hot water only comes in the morning.
2. Breakfast. The stated opening hours of 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM are misleading. Those arriving for breakfast after 10:00 AM find the buffet almost empty. The selection is minimal, and many items are not replenished. The coffee machine in the dining room was broken.
3. Room equipment. The TV didn't work upon arrival. Our call was answered, and the technician spent about an hour trying to connect and fix it. Essentially, we lost another hour of our vacation.
Conclusion:
The hotel fails to fulfill its basic responsibilities: providing the booked room, hot water, and adequate food. The level of service and the condition of the rooms do not correspond to the stated category and price.
Pros: Very polite and helpful maids and the technician. However, this does not change the rating in any way, as we received no apologies or compensation from the hotel management.
