The Stone House in St Julians

We had an incredible stay at the Stonehouse! Our host, Cathy, was kind, friendly, and generous with her time and knowledge of the island. Her advice and guidance on navigating Malta, along with tips on what to see and do, helped us make the most of our visit.

The Stonehouse is a gem—quirky and full of delightful surprises. Every corner has its own charm, making it a unique and memorable place to stay. The location is perfect, with plenty of fantastic restaurants nearby, and is close enough to major attractions around the island.

Breakfast had a variety of great options, and both check-in and check-out were smooth and easy. Communication with Cathy was always timely and helpful. Our first visit to Malta surpassed all expectations—not only because of the island's history and beauty but also due to Cathy’s wonderful hospitality.

The owner Cathy and her staff are friendly, courteous and helpful. Cathy is very knowledgeable in the history of Malta and is enthusiastic to tell you about it. She is an excellent and fun tour guide. She makes your trip a memorable one and shows you the many hidden gems. I stayed at the Stonehouse in 2023 for a 9 day yoga retreat and had such an epic fun adventure kayaking in caves, catamaran n swimming Crystal n Blue Lagoon, experiencing and exploring gorgeous sunsets at Dingli cliffs and Dwari, which have moved a few to tears, discovering stunning views from a cave overlooking Ramla Bay just to name a few, I returned again in 2024 for an 11 day yoga retreat! Still just as breathtakingly beautiful. Hope to return again for a 3rd time! 😍

So, for a true authentic Maltese experience, live like a local and stay at the charming Stonehouse in St. Julian’s. It is a gorgeous renovated home complete with a lounge area and pool. It was built on lands that were owned by the Knights of Malta.

Continental breakfast is included and they provide a wonderful assortment of items for a healthy breakfast to start your day.

Use it as your base to explore beautiful Malta, Comino and Gozo. It is walking distance to restaurants, bars and a short Bolt drive away to Valetta and surroundings sights. The promenade around the bay is also very beautiful for evening walks as well.

Beautiful house. Wonderful people

A home away from home. The property is in a great location which gives easy access to all local transport hubs etc. The host Cathy goes over and above to make your stay as amazing as possible with not only a well run B&B, but also is so knowledgeable about Malta and advising on trips etc as well as running amazing tours too. Will definitely be coming back some time in the future!

Great stay, sad to leave
Cathy is an amazing host who has made the stay very enjoyable, we were sad to leave and wished we had booked the rest of our trip at the Stonehouse instead of moving around. The accommodation was very well decorated with some nice authentic touches. The accommodation is in a very good location - tucked away in a quiet road yet within a minutes walk to a very bustling scene, great for food, drinks, getting around etc.
Next time we visit Malta we will book our entire stay here - hoping to meet Cathy again.
