1 star because there is no option to give 0 stars. At checkin the receptionist wanted me to shout out the PIN number for my bank card over the reception, this is a breach of data protection, he then would have had both my card details and PIN number to steal my card details and use this for his own use. Did not explain where hotel facilities where. Breakfast very minimum selection, cheese slices, mini croissants for Stuart little, toast, fried eggs, beans, bacon and sausage is all there was, no one seemed to be working the breakfast area so if you are room only, feel free to get a quick snack and coffee as you won’t be questioned or seated. Housekeeping ok, toiletries are the cheapest shampoo and shower gel out of the local bargain shop, kettle and coffee machine in room, no tea or coffee supplied, coffee machine also has no where to be plugged in so what is the point of even having it. The beds are awful, mattresses are years out of date, should be sent to a skip as the springs are completely gone and hard to sleep due to being extremely uncomfortable, had to use bedspread to sleep on top of for extra padding from the mattress. Only good thing about this “hotel” is its location being in close proximity to the bus station, shops and cafes. Called reception prior to checking out the explain that my flight is not until the evening and asked if I would be able to store my luggage, they said yes, also you are not provided with this number and due to my experience of being a hotel receptionist in 3 to 4 star hotels in England, Ireland, lanzarote and America I know the universal number is usually 1 or 0 to call reception from the room. Upon checking out I was not asked if I enjoyed my stay, they basically took the key and said bye, even though I had said again I wanted to store my luggge they says yes bye bye, I then asked again where to store my luggage, they want you to leave your luggage in the big open reception area space, I explained my flight is at 6pm and I am not leaving my luggage in an unsecure area. Found the staff over all rude and ignorant with no care for customer service. Manager should send all staff on a customer service training course. How this was rated 3 stars I do not know, I would condemn the place. Also beware of the elevator to get to your room, the door has no sensors, I got my luggage in as there is a step down to get into the elevator and I then got jammed in the door, no sensors on door to stop them from closing. If you are a disabled person do not book this hotel. The ramp at the main entrance is very dangerous and steps up to rooms and elevator with no disabled access.

Absolutely disgusting, never seen nothing like it, basic hygiene is awful. Everything is dirty or old . Rooms are filthy we had a big lizard in our room when we told the big man at the reception he said , what can I do ? Like no help or anything. I was so scared .bedding disgusting we have to ask reception to change our sheets so house keeping is not doing they job. Most of the staff is rude and they all scared of the manager as soon as we ask for manager they said no we not to call him. atmosphere was more for the older people. The hotel is very dated dark and not even worth the 3 star . I hope they get shut down .

I checked into the EuroClub hotel yesterday and my stay in the hotel is unknown since my flat is currently undergoing a thorough renovation. The bedroom is larger than my bedroom in my flat, but it is a combined bedroom/living room. There is no table to eat on, just a flat surface of wood joined to a large mirror affixed to the wall! The bathroom is spacious and is outstanding, considering that this is a 3 star hotel! The chambermaids seem very friendly and are doing an impeccable job! I am a bit disappointed that I wasn't granted a street view balcony! The only view is the surrounding walls of thr apartments alongside my room and above, and two drain water pipes along the walls! I wish to mention a receptionist that deserves a lot of praise, and her name is Melanie! I got the opportunity of getting acquainted with her today and all I can say is that she is so polite, a true professional in customer care skills! The hotel management should feel so proud and privileged to have Malanie as their employee! May I also thank Mario for all his invaluable assistance when I had met him prior to my check-in! He was also very polite too! I cannot comment on the breakfast and dinner facilities because I am only lodged in on a bed basis only! For a 3 star hotel, there is definitely 'value for money'! After all, you get for what you pay for! I thoroughly recommend the EuroClub Hotel to all those people who want to visit Malta and want a 'value for money ' service! Chris Pace

The Euroclub is right in the heart of local nightlife & has its own bar ,Watson's on the ground floor . The beds were comfortable with aircon, fridge & phone in rooms . There was maid service every day . The board basis is self catering with breakfast available to be paid for & an a la carte menu for evening meals. Alternatively, there are plenty of bars & cafes close by. Prices were mid range & we enjoyed our holiday there. The bus station is a hundred yards away & buses will take you all over Malta from there.

Was my 43rd visit to malta as i am a regular since 2000 when i got a timeshare in qawra for 17 years. Stayed at many hotels over the years but i must say our visit to the Euroclub was by far the most downgraded place ive stayed at. As i was told its not 5 star which i appreciate, but the room we were given was so old and outdated. I remember better times 25 years ago. No kettle, no safe, no plughole for the old bath or sink, in need of an upgrade and nothing like we saw on our booking. The manager said that we were moved to the back of the hotel due to building work dust at front of hotel, which started from 7.30 most mornings except sunday. Felt the hotel shake and move constantly. The pool was nice and breakfast was adequat for a light snack. Most towels old and they managed to get us a kettle put in. I think for 72 euro a night it was far to expensive as stayed at Santana and Soreda for less with quality rooms and showers. Feel sorry for the staff who must be working hard for very little whilst this taking place. After fay 3 we started getting red bites and now covered from head to toe both of us. Must be bed bugs as both in twin beds next to each other. Will use the Watsons bar but not the hotel.

We came here for a week for a Karate Competition. From the moment we arrived the staff were very accommodating giving us the relevant information we needed for local restaurants, WiFi passwords etc On entering the room we were welcomed to a very clean room, fresh towels and extra blankets in the wardrobe. Kettle, fridge, hair dryer and tv were a nice bonus. It was great that there was a bath in the bathroom along with a shower, especially with little children. We didn’t pay for breakfast but adding this wasn’t an issue. The children loved the swimming pool and the toddler swimming pool was great for my 3 year old. Being a big family with other team mates, getting a mini bus/taxi wasn’t an issue - they were very friendly, accommodating and very reasonably priced. We all enjoyed the evening entertainment in the bar. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and can’t wait to come back again in the near future.

Avoid and Do not book taxi or cab from hotel they are scammers cost you double from normal price. Taxi driver came for us at 3.00am to the airport when arrived thw taxi driver told us to pay we told him that paid at the hotel, he show us the original price of that ride it was €17 but the hotel charge us €30. Shame on you Euro Club Hotel!! Fake people and arrogant!!! And very rude people!!

From the reviews I've seen, I was waiting for a bad experience, and I was somewhat confused. The staff were nice and professional. The rooms were clean, and the bed and pillows were hard, but I prefer that. The few downsides are that the hotel needs a lot of work, like redecorating, newer bed sheets, room controlled air con, and more modern safes. Last of all, it is a hotel, some international tv channels, all where in Maltese. I would say stay here if you want a bed, but that's it.

Review of the Stay at Euroclub Star Hotel in Malta I would like to express my profound dissatisfaction with my stay at the Euroclub Star Hotel in Malta last night. We have traveled extensively around the world, staying in various categories of hotels, and have never experienced such disappointing service and lack of professionalism. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the older night shift employee, whose attitude was extremely rude and disrespectful. When we complained about the presence of more than three dead cockroaches in the room, which clearly needs urgent renovations due to its deteriorated and decaying condition, the employee stated that cockroaches in Malta are common and likened them to pets, refusing to take any action. When I asked if she had these “pets” in her home, she affirmed and suggested that if we were unhappy, we should sleep in the reception area or find another hotel. Such a response is absolutely unacceptable and demonstrates a complete lack of professionalism. After insisting on a room change, the same employee, with the help of a more courteous colleague, relocated us to another apartment. Although this new room offered a slightly better experience, the pillows were of such poor quality that they caused discomfort while sleeping. The following morning, during breakfast, we were shocked by the extremely watered-down juice and the lack of various products. Moreover, while we were still having breakfast, the staff started clearing the plates, informing us that breakfast time was over, once again showing a total lack of consideration and professionalism. Upon returning to the room to rest, we were abruptly awakened by someone banging on the door. Without any prior warning or courtesy, the housekeeper entered the room and rudely informed us that we needed to leave. The correct procedure would have been to call the room and politely request our departure or discuss the possibility of extending our stay if necessary. This type of approach is completely inappropriate and disrespectful. Our initial intention was to stay for another five days, but due to the treatment we received, we decided to leave immediately. During check-out, the receptionist also displayed rudeness by refusing to provide the manager’s email, which was essential for me to report my experience. Only after much insistence did she provide the reception’s email, making me skeptical that my message would reach the manager. Additionally, it took significant persistence to obtain the manager’s name. It is evident that this hotel urgently needs a present manager and properly trained staff, as the level of service is extremely below acceptable standards. Thank you for your attention, and I hope corrective measures will be taken to prevent other guests from having the same unpleasant experience. Sincerely,
Share your experiences, help others make the right choice!
