Best Hotels in Malta

Pros: Staff super friendly, room was big enough for 2, bathroom good size, everything very clean. Bed very comfortable, tv for streaming was great. Breakfast was great - lots of variety

Great view, rooftop pool area is also wonderful. Cons: We had a slight drain smell in the room that came and went. We couldnt dentify where it was coming from (ironically, not from the bathroom drains)

It was good experience but there is no slippers for bathroom even no door mate .everything was fine

Thankfully they were able to change my room but the walls are thin. Not recommended for those who are light sleeper. Good service and average breakfast. Walking distance to the beach

We didn't complain as it wasn't consistent not strong enough to be a real issue. The walls are a little thin (you can hear loud talkers in the next room)

Pleasant little hotel - pool in roof friendly staff clean - location good. Shower clean and spacious Room was on the second floor we opened our balcony to a brick wall not the best view

Excellent location, very friendly staff. The single room had no natural light , so is like a cave. It does say on web site, it has no window, but the reality was very claustrophobic

The hotel boasts an excellent location. The airport shuttle bus stops at a station just a 5-minute walk away. Conveniently, this is also the stop for bus 212, which takes you to Popeye Village and Comino

The condition of the rooms arent the best as in it doesnt look the cleanest but perhaps it is because the hotel is quite old/outdated, but it definitely does the job when you need a place to rest

Friendly and helpful staff at the reception. The rooms are in great condition, and the view is stunning. Great location and numerous ways of transportation (ferry, bus, etc.) and a lot of restaurants near the hotel.

Great experience! The hotel is close to the city center and has a bus station nearby, making it easy to get to other cities. The breakfast is excellent with plenty of variety.

The location is very good, right in the old town, a 7-minute walk to the view point

Hotel is very close to Valetta center (5min walk) with several restaurants even closer. Good breakfast, friendly personnel, good size room and double bed (301)

We had a very comfortable stay at the Osborne hotel. Convenient location both to explore Valletta, but also to get in and out of town.   Would also like to thank the very friendly staff in the bar and reception

Had a wonderful stay here: staff is terrific, location is the best and the hotel is very clean (cleaning lady is small but great at the same time!)

We enjoyed a wonderful family holiday. The hotel is very well located with excellent views. The pool is very good and it is usually not too busy. Swimming in the sea is possible right next to the hotel.

I had a fantastic stay at Gillieru Harbour Hotel — I can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, relaxed, and honestly spoiled (in a good way)

The silver lining was the cleaning staff, friendly, professional and clearly doing their best given the circumstances

What stood out: • Location: Absolutely unbeatable. The hotel overlooks the harbour in St. Paul’s Bay, which means beautiful sea views as soon as you step out onto the balcony

Reception was informative, restaurant & pool‐bar staff were welcoming and always ready to assist. It felt like a family‑run hotel in the sense that service had warmth

Breakfast is served on the rooftop, and the view is also first-class if you have dinner on the rooftop. The front desk staff is very enthusiastic and thoughtful. It is the best choice for a hotel in Valletta

The hotel is in the center of the ancient town. The rooms are beautifully designed. The service staff is enthusiastic. There is a beautiful swimming pool on the roof. The scenery outside is very beautiful

The products in the bathroom and the robes and slippers just gave extra luxury , and my husband used the gym every morning too. Location was perfect too! Would love to return some day!! 😊

They have a great selection of Maltese wines which are good and you should try them, after all this is Malta where you are at

The staff are extremely helpful. The food is good with a wide choice. Cater for gluten free and I have a shellfish allergy, they are very aware of that which is extremely reassuring for me

Good value for low price. Clean room with towels and TV. Near the Bugibba centre makes it a great base for experiencing Malta.

For the price this place is good value and close to main food and drink areas.

The evening meal was very good a reasonably priced for what you get. They also catered foe my coeliac needs. Kitchen staff were very friendly advising what I could or not eat

We had a great stay at the hotel. The employees are excellent friendly they made our trip special. The bus stop is right there in front of the hotel and it takes you right to Valetta

You can choose to stay in a room or you can choose to stay in one of their apartments which are in different buildings, but very close to the hotel. We would always recommend this hotel! THANK YOU!!

The location is close to a bus stop, with plenty of restaurants nearby. It’s simple, clean, and includes breakfast.

The rooms have high ceilings, spacious, comfortable beds, and are very clean. The breakfast was amazing, quality products, good coffee and the roof terrace is perfect to have an idea of the city center

Perfect place to explore Valetta. Good location in downtown Valetta. The terrace is wonderfull and the view is amazing. Such as the breakfast. Personal is very friedly!

An excellent boutique hotel in the heart of old town Valletta. All staff were super accommodating and friendly and went out of their way to help. Breakfast was excellent and the roof terrace was great.

But the best thing is the rooftop terrace, perfect for a glass of wine and just watch the boats pass by. Cannot recommend highly enough

Well equipped room Bottle of wine was a nice touch to have on roof terrace. The ladies who do the breakfast were excellent

The only slight negative was the sound of water trickling in and off every night Loads of restraunts and bars a few minutes walk

I’m not sure whether they thoroughly cleaned it or replaced the toilet seat, but it looked perfectly clean afterward. I appreciated how quickly the staff responded and took care of the problem

Once I informed the reception, they addressed the problem promptly. By the time I returned to my room later that day, the issue had been completely resolved

Aside from that initial issue, everything else about the stay was smooth and enjoyable. The hotel is close to public transportation

When you need help (such as the phone can't be charged), the front desk will enthusiastically guide you and tell you how to get to the repair point

Overall, I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable and the experience was generally very positive

The only issue I encountered was that the toilet seat in my room was quite dirty when I first checked in. I arrived late and was very tired, so I didn’t report it until the next day

The house is lovely and very well-equipped. The pool is fantastic. Ramona, who manages the residence, is super friendly and available if needed. I highly recommend it.

it is a beautiful old converted house, very clean and spacious with a big, deep swimming pool. Parking near the property was easy to find and communication was very clear and to the point. it was a great experience!

Good location. Modern building. Only negative was the breakfast as no good quality in my opinion. There are plenty of coffee places outside where you can have real coffee.

The location and service are good, 300 meters away from the station, but the sound insulation is a little poor.

Nice clean hotel. Big rooms and bathrooms, very good breakfast. But if you like quiet and peaceful neighbourd than this location is not for you. St.Julian is known for loud nightlife, shops, restaurants and nightclubs.

Was Pleasant and nice rooms just a little noise but that’s the vibe of luqa Malta so get used to it. Staff amazing amenities always available and had good sleep.

The only downside of my stay here was the noise from the nearby construction site early in the morning, but well. That's not the fault of the hotel and it won't last forever. Anyways I'm really happy with my stay here :)

The location was perfect for us because the most important thing for us was to find a villa where a large family would feel comfortable and where it was possible to quickly get to Valletta and other important cities in Malta

Lovely hotel, very festive when we stayed in December. Hotel and room spotlessly clean. Breakfast delicious with a good range of hot and cold options. We had a courtyard view room which was great

Breakfast was buffet type , lots of choice and again a good morning and smile greeted you. Rooms were comfortable , every thing I needed

They need to look at the outside and compare it to the website photos, the entrance plants need to be removed and replaced by seating (somewhere to sit whilst waiting for a taxi) the outside seating area all the walls need a good clean and plants need to be removed as flies and mosquitoes are drawn to them making your breakfast impossible to enjoy

The hotel's location was excellent, right at the entrance of a hutong (alleyway). Outside the hutong were rows of seaside restaurants. I recommend the restaurant on the far left (the innermost part of the hutong)

The dining table was also the old-fashioned kind from British homes, with a hinged panel. I don't know the exact name of this type of furniture, but it was very traditional and I've only seen it in England

There was a bus stop around the corner next to the hotel, making it very convenient to take a bus to the capital, Victoria, where there are beautiful buildings and castles

The receptionist had a great service attitude and was very helpful in solving our different needs. I highly recommend this hotel.

However, it wasn’t a major issue but there was quite a bit of dust built up around the room, it’s just that extra attention to detail needed and my bed seemed to be on its last legs, very squeaky and I felt like it was about to collapse, the mattress however was very comfortable! All in all I had a great stay and will definitely book The Maltese Sun again when I next come to Malta!

We arrived late at 11pm and the self check-in procedure is clear and easy. Unfortunately, Room 1 given to us facing the street, hence we cannot open window. It likes in a room without window

First and foremost, the building itself was absolutely gorgeous! Check-in was relatively easy and my sleep was very comfortable

I think the hotel should block this room from booking, or at least add a shower curtain at the interim. The 'do nothing' attitude is very disapppointing. breakfast, it's normal European style

The next surprise is the broken sliding door of the shower corner. After bathing, the whole bathroom is all wet. We reported to reception next morning and the lady indeed knows about it

I think my single room is after the renovation but the linen sheet seem like never change. so I requested for new bed linen. The reason the original hotel give me is kinda joke

Very Good! But check in needs to be done at Mr. Todd which is just a few minutes down the same road. But the shower have inconsistent temperature. Apart from taht everything is really good!

Good hotel but it has a really annoying process to check in and check out. You must use the other hotel down the road as this one is basically unstaffed

The location was near to the bus station and water front of Sliema. Check in/Check out counter was at another location about 50m away (Mr. Todd) If i ever visit Malta again, I would repeat my stay at Lady Todd.

In the morning, there was plenty of hot water, but in the evening, only lukewarm water was available, which was quite cold for March. The windows seemed thin, as I was woken up by car horns during the night

Mdina is a wonderful city and the Xara is another level of luxury, I highly recommend doing a few nights there on any holiday to Malta

A very typical Roland Chateaux Hotel, located in the ancient city of Mdina. The whole building has a history of 300 years. It took a lot of thought to renovate and design it, and collected a lot of art works

We arrived outside of reception working hours but the check in instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again

My friend and I stayed in this lovely small hotel for 5 days. It is a facility with excellent position, very clean , with charming and helpfuly staff. They are very pleasant and you will always get advice or asistence

We considered hiring a car but because of how easily accessible and conveniently located the hotel is we were glad we did not hire a car. The staff are really friendly and accommodating
