I had a great experience at the Island Guest House! I would definitely stay there again and recommend. It was a great value. If you book through ******* though I recommend that you confirm DIRECTLY with the Island Guest House. There was an issue with *******, but they righted it for me. What a pleasure! Thanks again!!

We were really really pleased with this apartment,it had everything we needed,very clean,comfy bed,lovely shower,clean towels daily if we wanted them and the lady kindly cleaned bathroom and topped water up. Perfect for people watching and nice view of harbour,very central,really quiet.I think Clifford has thought of everything!Thanks!would highly recommend.

For location, this gets a 10/10. It is legit right next to Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valletta where you can see amazing sunrises and sunsets (in November, at least; not sure about the rest of the year). Ferries depart at the bottom of the Barrakk Gardens's elevator so if you take any ferry, like to Gozo or Three Cities, it's super convenient. An amazing apartment overlooking Upper Barraka Gardens. Such a fantastic location to walk around Valletta. The apartment was very comfortable and quiet and the host was responsive. The bed was very comfortable and thoughtful touches were included - tea, coffee, water etc. The room was also serviced daily. We could not think of a better place to stay when exploring Valletta and we would highly recommend

The small hotel with few apartments was in an abolutely fine location - just inside the old city and next to peacefull upper barrak gartens. Room with an OK interior - a bit old / outdated but fully functional. An issue was handled within hours - fine. Bathroom fine and the large bed really good. Internet connection super.

Pretty average accommodation. The room we had, with the private bathroom, smelled pretty musty, and the whole place was pretty cold overall (we were there in December, but not even the AC helped heat it up). Even though they said (in the rulers of the place) that they'll come clean up the room only on Wednesday and only if you leave your door open, the lady went into our rooms without our knowledge...

Great location- very clean and comfortable-walking distance to a very good selection of restaurants and cafes. Close to Mdina and the Catacombs. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very close to public transport. The locals are very friendly.

A family owned and run guesthouse in the quaint village of Rabat, minutes away from the old capital Mdina and the greener more rural part of the island. Great as a launching pad for anyone looking at exploring the Northern bits of Malta too.

Can't be specific about the sizes of the rooms as price is a determining factor here. But will definitely say they are clean, equipped and comfortable. Breakfast is included in room rates and they are very good. The lady at the front desk who practically attendees to all your inquiries handles every thing and assures your comfort . It Is very clean, everything what you need you have in your room, excellent location, quite but still in the middle of everything, near all bus stops, markets and restaurants.

Room is clean and basic. Air con is great Hallway very noisy all morning with people hanging around in there. My room is a single near the entrance hall. Cant open the door to the outside area. Items left by others ( I think) wash up liquid, shower gel etc

You can see the idea for the place and the history. The damp has done its job, the bathroom shows uninteresting stains. A few things don't work. Staff very helpful.

Good location but hard to find after a few drinks, spent 2 hours looking for it! But really nice sized rooms, good quality so can't grumble.

I had a lovely stay there. It's very well located close to the ferries to Malta, walking distance of late night supermarkets, restaurants and lots more! The host is friendly and easy going and has interesting knowledge to share.

The hotel is very well located in Sliema, it is close to everything, (beach, ferry, supermarket...) the staff is very responsive and very nice, towel and sheet provided on arrival. A washing machine and a dryer are available to wash your stuff which is very convenient. The hotel is very secure with a code at the entrance and cards to enter the rooms. I would come back to this hotel if I were to return...

You get what you pay for... very basic facilities, rather poor design and upkeep but a pretty convenient location and good price.

Personally, to stay in this hotel was a good experience, because is cheaper, it has great location and for its staff. Breakfast is also delicious so I totally recommend it!

The hostel was very good. the location is superb. The room was clean, the bathroom was also clean but rather small, and friendly staff. The wifi was not so good. Overall, we enjoyed our stay

Nice and kind service. Got everything I asked for. Quiet place close by to the bezach and water. Bus stops to/from airport (line X2) just around the corner. You can go at any destination from „Ross” bus stop( capitol, ferry to gozo etc). The same with pubs and restaurants if you need to grab something to eat and go (lots of places just around the corner).Close to Scooty’s supermarket.

Clean, comfortable enough, and had a working mini-fridge. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Not particularly cosy, but if you're just looking for a place to sleep and not a fancy romantic getaway, it's a good choice.

Very good, both for the place (in the centre of St. Julian), and for the courtesy of the staff and the cleanliness of the rooms, which are rooms, new and well furnished, only drawback is their size, unfortunately, small.

The accommodation was clean (new clean towels every day), and the shower was excellent with strong water pressure. The beds were comfortable, perfect for relaxing after long days of exploring the islands. Our room had two balconies. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, making check-in smooth and welcoming. Not a bad little apartment, clean and in a good area. Only issue is the building work right outside the property! Banging and drilling starts at 7Am.

Excellent Location in a quiet street near all the amenities, on-street parking was available at all times nearby, great hosts, brand new high quality rooms with everything necessary, very highly recommend! The whole place was exceptionally clean!

I really liked the familiar atmosphere. The rooms where very clean and with new furniture. I liked everything and I am pretty sure to book a room at VelaBlu Boutique Guest House when coming back to Malta!

We really liked to stay there, was always clean and there's a modern furniture and good air conditioning. We even were able to extend our stay very easily. Would go there again.

Honestly. Are any of the apartments there clean? I have visited a few and they all look like some kind of hippy colony. This place could be a real gem if it was taken care of!! What a shame.

Lovely quite place. Full of awesome views of countryside and sea views as well. Great area for walks, picnics and much more.

Very calm village with an amazing view, just 15min walking downhill to closest beach and has holiday houses for rent with access to a swimming pool!

We stayed at “Lime and kiwi” apartment, spacious, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, suitable for 8 people. They offer breakfast in the next door hotel which was good too. Very good location, little n bit noisy in the evenings, but only living room and one of bedrooms faces to the street. I recommend this place.

Fantastic apartment, it exceeded all expectations. Spotlessly clean and very adequately equipped kitchen and bathroom, including a washing machine, iron and microwave. Will happily return soon

Hotel was great, clean and check in was easy. Included towels and shower gel, but no toothpaste. Kitchen was available for everyone to use but the hob was not working. Location was not too far from the centre, quite well connected so easy to take bus wherever you need to go. Overall enjoyed my stay and would book again.

A good budget option hotel. The hotel has an arrangement with a nearby restaurant for breakfast Full English excellent. My Seaview room had a wonderful view and balcony. Bus stop and ferry close to hotel.

Stayed there before so knew where everything was. They didn’t do breakfast which I knew. My room was very small and always single rooms seem to be at the back of hotels in odd little corners. On the plus side the buses are outside the door and there are shops including a supermarket close by. The hotel sits right on the promenade which is really lovely.

Facing the sea, the view is amazing. The room is clean and the bedding is clean. The only downside is that there are always all kinds of noises in the middle of the night. Sometimes it is very loud and wakes people up. However, the hotel is in a good location and convenient for transportation.

The Hotel was clean, unfortunately my room was very noisy as it was off the kitchen all I could hear was banging doors all morning, people talking & stomping around, there is also construction going on in neighbouring buildings. my bed was uncomfortable I could feel the springs in my back so had a pretty terrible sleep, this place needs some updating & modernising. I was quite worried when I read quite a number of negative opinions about this hotel. Starting from positives: fantastic and kind staff (Ms. Elena - hotel manager was very responsive and super reactive, reception team open, available and always present, cleaning team - really working hard with a smile every day). The location cannot be better - sea, bus stop just in front of the hotel, walking distance...

My visit to the guesthouse met my expectations. The rooms are new and renovated, clean, and well-equipped: electric kettle, coffee maker, iron, and hairdryer. Daily room cleaning is a plus. The breakfast is very good, with something for everyone. And last but not least, the best staff in the world! I highly recommend it.

I've stayed in beautiful hotels all round the world but this one would rate as perfect as it can get. Admittedly no bar or restaurant but as we are surrounded by them ,it's no problem. I'm here now and everything is open in Malta. Last minute trip but I'm definitely coming back..

Staff was the best. Beautiful room. Perfect location. A block to catch a bus, short walk to Sliema/Valletta ferry. Lots of restaurants a short walk away. Large grocery store a couple of blocks away. Would definitely stay there again.

I take showers, not baths, so it was a challenge to shower in a bath tub without shower curtain. I hope you’d consider putting one up. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable stay!

The property is in a great location which gives easy access to all local transport hubs etc. The host Cathy goes over and above to make your stay as amazing as possible with not only a well run B&B, but also is so knowledgeable about Malta and advising on trips etc as well as running amazing tours too.
