Reviews
Service was thoughtful and seamless. Check-in was easy, communication was clear, and every night we received pastries and a thermos of tea in different flavors like lemongrass and hibiscus as a surprise treat. On arrival, the adults were welcomed with margaritas and our kids with pineapple juice. Housekeeping was meticulous, right down to straightening our shoes. Beach towels and cover ups were in the room and beachside food and drink service made it easy to spend all day by the ocean.
The hotel is small (about 49 rooms) so the beach never felt crowded and there was always space to relax without competing for loungers. We were traveling with family (both of my brothers and their families), and the staff made a real effort to place rooms near each other, which made the experience even more special. Luxurious, relaxed, and genuinely welcoming.
NOTES/TIPS:
**Book early if you want a specific room type. We booked about five months out and availability was already limited.
**They’re strict about room occupancy limits, especially for families. If you have more than 4 in your family, a second room is required.
**If you don’t want to rent a car or get a taxi, the hotel can arrange round-trip airport transportation for $400 plus tip.
**Checkout is at noon. Staff will check the room for any left-behind items and the front desk can hold your luggage if you want to stay and enjoy the property longer.
We made an online reservation and paid 1,400 pesos per person, which included a 1,300-peso food and drink credit. We expected to spend more than our drink and food credit and brought extra money for our day. Upon arrival, we were given a cabana and three menus: breakfast, bar snacks, and drinks. When we asked for a lunch menu, we were told we already had it, but we were hoping for something more substantial than ceviche or tacos — for example, a burger. Eventually, we were brought a restaurant menu that included burgers, which we ordered and enjoyed.
Service was extremely slow. There appeared to be only 2 servers for the big area. Later, when we asked how to use our remaining credit at the other restaurant area (Mediterranean), we were told the credit could only be used on the side where we were seated. This was confusing because that restriction was not stated in our reservation details. As a result, we left with about 700 pesos in unused credit. I went to the other side before leaving to ask if we could still apply it, but I was told it was too late — even though it wasn’t yet 6pm.
I then asked guest services how to file a complaint, and the staff member took out his phone and appeared to take a photo of us (he held the phone low, but the flash went off). That was extremely unsettling.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend this beach club.
