This place is equal parts relaxing and adventure. The grounds are just breath taking and every detail is thought out. David's tours in particular made the trip unforgettable.

Very special place, which feels unique. Enough cenotes and pools that it's very easy to feel like they're for your own private use, a little family of pigs that caused great delight for our 3 year old, and great food too. Activities on site- use of kayaks, SUPs and bikes mean you can make it as active or relaxing a stay as you want. We stayed 3 nights, and then came back for another on the same trip (and might add on a final night before we go home- it's that good!)

Long overdue review. I wanted to relax and get lost in nature. This place did not disappoint. Amazing bird watching. The atmosphere is very relaxed and feels like you are immersed in nature. Highly highly recommend doing a tour with David. He is a gem of a human and his tour was my favorite part of the experience.

We had a short stay at Hacienda Wakax, and it was so worth it. We would definitely return. From the cenotes, to the lush beautiful grounds, to the many scenic, swimming areas, to the beautiful architecture and stunning restaurant and dining area, we cannot recommend it more. A major highlight was our tour of the cenote Cave with David. He was an extremely knowledgeable, local guide and provided detailed, fascinating information about flora and fauna in the cave and in the region generally. He was an excellent communicator in English and was very welcoming. Even after a short stay, we were thoroughly rejuvenated. Hoping to return!

An absolutely welcome reprieve! The experience was wonderful from top to bottom. The staff was wonderfully accommodating and the grounds weee a jungle oasis. Highly recommend the cave experience with David who is absolutely awesome! And otherwise the Cenote/Lagoon is so great to swim in.

One of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Pictures don’t do the property justice and the amenities were fantastic. And like everyone else says, David’s tours were a highlight!

An amazing place where you can relax and enjoy many activités. Thanks to David we discovered underground cenotes, the Maya history and much more. We will never forget this place ans such a wonderful experience, great suite, food and people.

Our stay at Wakax was enjoyable for its atmosphere and setting. The property feels like a Mexican village, with a strong sense of authenticity. The layout, and the overall spirit create something very different from standard resort experiences. A special mention for the pigs wandering freely around the property — it adds a charming, natural touch that reinforces the feeling of being immersed in a living environment rather than a staged hotel. The setting of the lagoon is beautiful and peaceful, offering moments of real calm and connection with nature. The food was disappointing and clearly below the level expected for a property of this kind. Overall, Wakax is a unique place with a strong identity and a genuinely authentic atmosphere.

We had an incredible experience with our stay for our friends wedding! Beautiful venue with incredible staff, our tour guides, servers, house keepers, reception, bartender and cooks were all so kind and amazing! We really enjoyed our experience and was a very peaceful and fun get away!

We were looking for a relaxing, quiet retreat in Yucatan and we found it at Wakax. It was a world away from the frantic beach scene—tranquil, surrounded by natural beauty and the kindest, most friendly and helpful people. After a long, hot ride from Tulum airport, we were greeted on arrival with fresh towels and chilled water. Other thoughtful touches included coffee in the room and towels, sunscreen and bug repellent at the pools. Cold water and coffee were available from stations in several buildings around the beautifully landscaped grounds. The restaurant was very pleasant, the food beautifully prepared and well-priced. We enjoyed our tours with David, who is knowledgeable and an interesting conversationalist. We never left the grounds during our stay and so did not need a car. Guests with cars had to park them near the entrance and employees used only bicycles or small golf carts, so we were blissfully free of traffic noise and pollution. We met other guests who were back for their second visit and already planning a third. Now we are thinking about our next trip.
