Reviews
If you are an influencer or you have a blog, you can’t fly a drone. They can’t even send you pictures or videos either.
The bathtubs are dirty as they are made from mosaic and I don’t think they scrub them. It is not wheelchair friendly. You can’t flush toilet paper as it’s an eco friendly resort. To be honest it was a waste of money I wouldn’t come here again.
No light , dark , dirty and no doubt the property it’s amazing.
First, let’s be honest: Azulik is visually stunning. Architecturally, it’s a dream — truly built for aesthetics and Instagram. The design is beautiful, organic. From a visual and conceptual point of view, it’s easily 100/100.
However, when it comes to comfort and practicality, it’s a very different story.
Azulik is a pure jungle experience. That can be magical, but it also means:
Very limited privacy
A toilet behind a divider
No hot water at night
Minimal comfort overall
I understand this is intentional and part of the concept, but when rooms can cost up to $2,000 per night, you naturally expect a balance between artistic experience and luxury comfort — especially at that price point.
The room itself was cute, but definitely not designed for longer stays. This is not a place you want to stay more than 1–2 nights max. After that, the lack of comfort becomes noticeable.
Service was not good. I understand this is Mexico and things move differently, but for a hotel with such an international reputation, staff speaking English should be standard, especially since most guests are travelers from the other countries.
The beach service closes early (around 4–5 PM), so the experience feels very limited.
A few small but important details:
The matches in the room were extremely horrible to light, which becomes frustrating when candles are the main source of light, and I love candles idea but if you are reader this hotel not for you!
Cleaning could be better.
Hot water should really be available 24/7 at this level.
Overall, Azulik is an artistic, aesthetic, and spiritual concept, not a comfort-driven luxury hotel. If you come knowing that — and stay one or two nights only — it can be a beautiful experience. I think its important to remind guest on checking in what are they signing for, coz people don't like to read descriptions and coming for views then being disappointed.
Come for the vibe, architecture, and photos.
Don’t come expecting classic luxury or comfort.
Beautiful idea, powerful concept — but it could truly shine even more with better service, basic comfort, and attention to detail. And I`m not asking a lot here.
The photos turn out very well.
False Instagram Marketing - not a luxury experience.
SO, this hotel has a "no-refund" policy, but I believe that is because the quality is so terrible that a lot of quests wish to leave after they see how bad it is there.
There are NO SHOWERS, and NO LIGHTS in the room. They also don’t allow cameras here (probably because they don’t want updated photos to compete with their marketing from 10 years ago.)
First, they didn't give us the room we booked. We booked a sea villa, and upon arrival, they gave us a sky villa. Then when we arrived someone came to our room to deliver food for another guest but we were not dressed and realized there were no blinds / shades so anyone walking by could see everything. No blackout blinds for sleeping and there were lights outside shining into our room.
Second, they failed to mention there would be an ALL NIGHT LONG party and it would not be possible to sleep on the night of the 31st.
Third, the entire resort smells like mold / rotting water and the overall quality of service and attention to detail was the worst l've ever seen at any resort.
The rooms do not have any privacy and you can hear other guests ****** *** because the rooms are all closely connected.
Overall, we were disgusted by this property and could not stay for the following 4 nights and had to leave due to lack of quality in every way imaginable.
Food was good but service took FOREVER.

Food is great, but more globally inspired than solely Mayan. Woukd like it to be only local food and ingredients but understandable that this is done for accommodating most people.
