Reviews
The facilities are amazing, from the ocean view yoga studio, to the open air restaurant, to the clean and comfortable rooms.
The staff are truly outstanding. From A to Z they make retreat organising effortless, the guests feel welcome and accommodated, and they are ready with a smile.
The food is fantastic. Exactly what you would want on a retreat, fresh, healthy, nutritious, with lots of salas and Mexican flare!
You can’t beat the location. Right on the beach, beautiful water, a long strip to walk down that is not over built so you can fully embrace the nature!
Their extra services and guided tours are diverse and excellent. From tours of the local cenotes and ancient ruins, to in house ceremonies including cocoa singing bowls ceremony and tezmecal, it is all excellent! The variety and optional experiences make it a great way for individuals in the group to cater to their own needs and interests.
My only worry is that they will get too popular and I won’t be able to book again next year 😜
Thank you Amansala for a truly magical experience!
Darlene, Melissa and Yolanda were angels and left a lasting impression on my heart.
The staff was beyond helpful and offered genuine, exceptional service.
Cultural activities were once in a lifetime experiences and not to be skipped.
Thank you, thank you, thank you Amansala!
The food was truly amazing—fresh, flavorful, and consistently high quality. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the area.
The location was perfect: about 1.5 miles from the center of Tulum for shopping and exploring, yet secluded enough to feel peaceful and undisturbed by noise.
The staff truly made the stay special. Everyone was kind and attentive, and a special shout-out goes to Marco, my resort guide during the excursions. He was friendly, funny, and made the daily activities genuinely impactful and memorable.
I also had a deep tissue massage with Julian, and it was an amazing, deeply relaxing experience. His additional expertise in sports massage really stood out. The massage took place at Amansala’s sister property, Casa Chicabal, and I highly recommend taking time to walk around and explore that property as well—it’s beautiful.
I highly recommend Amansala if you’re looking for a peaceful, well-run resort with incredible food, thoughtful care, and an amazing team—especially if it’s your first time in Mexico.
We decided to quickly move on from the property and came down to Amansala where Gaby at reception and his team were very helpful in understanding our situation and supporting us with finding us a new place to stay that we could move into immediately.
He was very accommodating and the customer service from Gaby was excellent. We also have to mention the staff servicing the restaurant and the beach areas as they were also just as brilliant. Always there when you need and never too pushy or over bearing and over the course of the week it was nice to build little personal relationships with each of the team members. We could not recommend it more as a place to stay and would definitely come back again.
We’ve walked up and down the beach during our stay in Tulum, and this is without a doubt the best place to stay. It has a fantastic beach area with lots of different areas to sit in, with great sun all day. It might not be the cheapest but it’s certainly the best from what we have experienced - and is absolutely worth it.
Also worth mentioning that you could eat in every night at this place. It can be hard to find really good quality food in the Tulum zone (although we recommend checkpoint pizza if you’re wanting a break from Mexican food for a bit) but the food at Amansala is of a very good standard compared to what else is available in the beach zone and it’s reasonably priced in line with US costs which is what to expect when in a beautiful place like this. The breakfast was also fantastic. 10/10
We also did yoga every morning which was so peaceful - the studio overlooks the ocean and the classes have been fantastic. Challenging whilst also accessible (were beginners).
Amansala is definitely the place to stay for your trip to Tulum!
Amansala is very beautiful with great food. Much more unique than an all inclusive. Walk right out of your room into sand. Nice, friendly employees.
The resort is located at the busy beach front area. Street can be a bit congested but with the provided parking space, we had no issue with parking.
The only thing to be aware of is no AC from 9am to 8pm unless pay an extra $25 per day. Understandable it's to conserve energy. It can be grilling in summer. But if you are out exploring and not in the hotel it's not an issue. Will recommend to get a room with window facing the beach so the wind will cool down the room fast even without AC.

Across the street hotel Tata is cheaper, better tasting and has ocean views.
The second star I give for the personnel which was quite friendly. The relation of quality of food and price would be straight up one star.
View of Tulum. Great place. And most stop.
The food was above average. Pasta in Tulum is not expected and it was good. I️ had the lobster special which was ~$40. The pasta was really good, but the lobster was average.
Without a doubt would come back.
