Old place, but extremely convenience, very clean, great service, defenetly I will comeback next visit.

We are a family of five who stayed there during our visit to Merida. On the positive side the placement is very nice in the old city. It felt safe.The area is very walkable and has lots of shops and restaurants.

However, the standard of the room is very bare, to the point where our room did not even have a chair or a nightstand.

The bathroom was very old and shabby. To be honest, not very nice. It was not very clean neither.

To noisy to sleep
Hotel in the middle of el Centro, blocks off the Plaza on St Lucia Park. Would have been a great stay except for one huge problem. The hotel is next to a club that blares music from 9pm till 2:30am. This noise permeates the hotel rooms,making it impossible to sleep. Kavia is big enough to constrain the club or sound proof the walls between them. I have stayed in places with music in the hotel or near by but this was the worst. Staff was great, it's clean. But it was not enough to overcome the noise.

The rooms don't match the pictures and aren't well kept. If you have a room in the back you won't sleep unless you are deaf and you might still feel the vibrations of the night club next door since there is no isolation whatsoever.
There was a door that lead to nowhere and let both light and mosquitoes in.
The service was also dismal; when we told them that the toilet was leaking on arrival they just put a towel down on the floor around the toilet.
The only good thing is that it is cheap and well placed in the city center.

This is a small, but COLORFUL and FRIENDLY HOTEL!!! The STAFF were way above average + the SMALL PISCINA (POOL) was very welcome & refreshing. The WALK to the PLAZA CENTRAL is only 3 blocks thru a COMFORTABLE BEAUTIFUL STREET w/ Vendors, and GORDITAS which is a GREAT PLACE to buy TAKE-AWAY GORDITAS which are only 20 pesos each!!! GREAT EXPERIENCE w/ ABOVE-AVERAGE HOT SHOWERS and A/C.

Just stopped for a drink, but had some small plates. Super nice staff. Mayan dishes, cool courtyard and awesome mural.

Friendly and engaging staff make this place a pleasure to eat in. The quality of the food was excellent. Not fussy or elaborate, but the ingredients were prime and the taste very good. There is a choice of seating inside, or in an open-air courtyard with fans to keep you cool. The WiFi worked well. Good prices. I can't give it 5 stars because although the decor was unique and interesting, it was a little tired compared to other establishments close by, and I wasn't really feeling the plastic chairs added anything. However, you won't be dissapointed by the food and service.

Tacos were just ok and drinks are well overpriced. Nice backyard and good service though. Another thing to note is that they make tacos with fries on top, wasn't a big fan.
