Really great experience all around. I missed a flight and showed a few days later and staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating despite my late arrival. The location and building itself is very cozy. Inviting common spaces, and really clean facilities. Their high rating is well deserved.
Old Town Hostel Kotor is one of those places that just gets it right. Great rooms, very clean, super central location inside the old town, and beautiful views that don’t get old. Everything is walkable and the atmosphere is relaxed, not forced. The crew really makes the difference. Milan is incredibly helpful and always around if you need anything. Diego is an awesome cook – the cheap communal dinners...
We went in winter to escape the crowds while still enjoying the town and beautiful scenery. The heater works very well and there are extra blankets when needed. It was a great little home base while exploring and cozy to stay in when the weather got too heavy.
An excellent location and a really social atmosphere! I felt very welcome here, and the staff were very responsive to all of our questions during our stay.
Really great place to stay, staff were great and went above and beyond, bbq was a great night too! 100% recommend this place for a great time!
Loved this place!!!! So much to do, many activities put on! All great! Highly recommend if you’re in the area! Staff are great too!

I look back to such a warm stay at Hostel Anton. What stood out to me is the staff. Very laid-back, chill and social atmosphere exactly the way it's supposed to be in my opinion. The beds are good, the room is okay and clean. The views you get are amazing.
Stayed in private room, clean and warm. Staff are excellent and very helpful. Location is very good as it is close to center and a few minutes by foot. Enjoyed my stay very much, specially liked the spontnious party in lobby with all the guests and staff.
Rodrigo and the other employees were super friendly and helpful. The hostel has a really good vibe where you can chill at the living room in the first floor with couches and a pool table or enjoy the view at the rooftops. The bedrooms and bathrooms were simple but good, with plenty of plugs for charging. Good Wi-Fi. Everything is in a walking distance from 5 to 25 minutes walk you can find markets...
People who low-rate this hostel should take a more realistic perspective and take other factors into consideration as well. Honestly, I stayed in hostels across North America, Europe and the Balkans and everywhere I went had to consider local issues affecting accommodation. Long story short, this is Montenegro, rather different social setting one should understand. While it is true that rooms could...
Fair. Friendly welcome. Private rooms a bit depressing. Location okay, parking. Quick walk into town, cheap and cheerful, nice common/bar area with a rustic atmosphere, lots of cats and a crappy pool table which is better than no pool table! Wifi quite inadequate for doing anything of substance!!
Hostel Anton is one of the best hostels I've visited so far. First of all the staff is very polite, friendly and helpful. The rooms, toilets and kitchen -- everything is very clean. The social area is great, you can play pool, poker or chess (if you manage to make a board for chess ;)). The design is remarkable: a lot of old stuff from old days (before internet)), artistic decorations, creative signs...

Top tier hostel Some great members of staff and volunteers who made my stay that much more enjoyable. Rooms are brilliant and one of the best mattresses I've slept on in a hostel. Showers and toilets are super clean. The entire hostel looks brand new honestly. It's an amazing place that I recommend to anyone. It's social but you can go off and have your own space if need be 👌
Top tier hostel experience. Comfy beds with curtains for privacy, which is always a bonus. Separate bathrooms for men and women, and always clean. But the most important part was it quickly became a home away from home. Nina and her staff were so welcoming and gave me the best NYE experience ever. I extended my stay 4 extra days because of this. Also, Kotor is just a beautiful place! I will forever...
The staff are really nice and helpful during my stay in Kotor. The kitchen area is nice and also the common area downstairs. It is a good area to meet other travellers. The hostel is located in front of the water. It is nice to just sit and see the boats. It is a walking distance to the old town, no need to ride a bus. And ut is adjacent to the best bbq place in Kotor. The rooms are with many bunkbeds...
Great location and staff! Mattresses are comfy (but a little too bouncy) and the room as AC and curtains! Also the bathrooms only have two showers, but I never had to wait. (Also my lock didn't work on my locker so that's too bad) A little overpriced, but overall I would definitely come back!
One of the best hostels. Heated floors in bathrooms verry clean exeptionaly lovely staff and volunteers with a good kitchen and laundry setup. It's an extremely convenient location and a 2 min walk from amazing bbq
Pupa Hostel is located right in the harbour with easy access to bus terminal, the old town and a favorite swimming spot. It also features very friendly receptionist and a cosy common area with shared kitchen.

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at! Great social vibe, the staff were very friendly, and the location is great (close to the old town and nice view of the bay). Special shoutout to Blazo for being so welcoming and happy to help. The pub crawl and drinking games were a blast.
**One of the Best Hostel Experiences!** I only stayed for a day, but this hostel made a lasting impression. The hospitality was amazing — some of the friendliest people you’ll meet. It’s a very social place, perfect for meeting other travelers, and the staff always have the best recommendations for things to do and events around the city. The location is super convenient — just outside the city center...
Great hostel with everything you could want! Activities (like pub crawls, kayak, boat tours, BBQ) are organized every day and the location of the hostel is perfect. 10 meters to the beach on a hungover day is all one could want really. The hostel staff is the best and knows all the good spots to go. 10/10 would recommend this place!
best hostel ever! the staff/volunteers are amazing, they made the experience so fun. if you’re looking for a quiet spot, this is not for you. it’s a party hostel, where everyone goes out every night to two bars, and then everyone sits on the beach until morning (the beach is five steps from the hostel, amazing location). it’s a super awesome way to meet people/make friends and a great experience, it...
Female 20-25 I stayed for a week in Kotor’s best hostel (4U) Everyday was just amazing, to the morning views from the hostel to sunset activities on Sea and pub crawls from dusk till dawn! Super clean, comfy beds fluffy pillows and an amazing space to place your personal items!
Where do I even begin. I’ve stayed in a decent amount of hostels and I can say that this was my favorite experience yet. The entirety of the staff/volunteers were incredibly kind and fun, making my experience unforgettable. The hostel itself was quite nice as well. I had a wonderful time staying at this hostel 😊 The owners are very friendly and welcoming, and they really take care of everything 👍 All the necessary amenities are available, and the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful 🌄 Yes, it’s a bit far from the city center 🚶‍♂️, but that’s really not a major issue. Overall, it’s a great place to stay ⭐ and I would definitely recommend it
Excellent stay at Hostel Izvor! I was very satisfied with my stay at Hostel Izvor in Podgorica. The service was outstanding — the staff were kind, helpful, and always available when needed. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was very pleasant. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay in Podgorica. I would definitely come back
We didn’t stay at Hostel Izvor, but we came to meet up with friends and spend some time with our kids – and it was a great experience! The outdoor play area is spacious and inviting, perfect for children to play and enjoy the fresh air while the adults relax over coffee. A lovely place for a family-friendly get-together!
During my stay at Hostel Izvor in Podgorica, I found it to be a wonderful blend of tranquility and hospitality. It is a very nice quiet relaxing place. The owner is very welcoming and kind. I arrived late and he kindly offered me some fruit! The restaurant is very cute, old cabin style with character. Decent hostel, pretty clean, for cheap price. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They also have a restaurant and offer breakfast and lunch (if I remember correctly). Disadvantage is that it is out of Podgorica and you can only get there if you have a car or by taxi.

I would echo everyone who has left a 5 star review of this hostel. My partner and I had an ideal experience here. The owners and staff make your time there easier telling you the best places and restaurants to go, also the activities offered by the hostel worth it!! Highly recommended :)
We spent 3 nights in the hostel, when we arrived we were welcomed by Andres who brought us to our rooms and went through any information we may want to know about Ulcinj. Both Gabi and Andres were very accommodating towards us over the 4 days as-well as the owner who arranged affordable transport for us!!

Centrum is central of Old Town! Easy to get to with lots of shops around. Great communal kitchen and dining room for sharing adventures and food. Central also means you see hear clearly. Staff went out of their way for me! 2 Thumbs Up!😊
Really comfy beds. Everything was super clean. Felt more like a hotel than a hostel, albeit there are common areas (kitchen, living room). We were there during off season, so not many people which suited us just fine. It's right in the middle of the old town.
One of the best hostels I stayed in in Kotor. Wonderful stay with Nikola and his mother in the modern clean apartment by the airport. Nikola was kind enough to offer me a lift to the airport for my 09:30 flight, which I really appreciate. If you need to catch a flight from Podgorica, this is the perfect spot to stay.
Extremely pleasant and welcoming, I would give more stars if I could! We stayed overnight in one of the apartments. The room was cozy and well equipped with A/C, WiFi, a TV, private bathroom, wardrobe and fridge. During our stay the building was slightly work-in-progress but this makes little difference as it has all the essentials. The older lady and young man, Niko, are incredibly sweet and made...
The hosts are very helpful and friendly. Rooms are spotlessly clean and reasonably comfortable, but not luxurious. Five rooms share a single bath. Bottled water and tea are provided. Not much English but the fellow speaks some Spanish. The only downsides have nothing to do with the property or hosts. The area seems to be rapidly transitioning from rural to industrial. There are a couple of big warehouses...
Definitely a nice place to stay close to the airport, rooms are clean and good. The lady is very kind even she struggles a bit with English. Also we got a free ride to the airport by a very friendly guy that loves to speak spanish haha amazing! A very good option for passing the night before departing or just arriving to Montenegro.
Squeaky clean rooms. Gorgeous location surrounded by birds chirping. Very homely! Host lady is so kind. Wifi works great except it disconnects when 4-5 guests are staying. Cheap hostel with a lot of potential. Bathrooms are disgusting tho. No cosy atmosphere, but it could easily turn into such a cosy one. Overal, I can't complain after.paying only 15€ night during high season
It was very simple and not väl organized. The kitchen was outside. I had to carry all my panniers and bags to the second floor. The lower bunkbed didn't have space for me to really sit upright, even I am short. In addition to that, there were some bars under the upper bed, where I easily (😉) banged my head. Very casual and cheap place to stay. Great garden area to hang out with other guests and very good vibes when I was there. I would give it 5 stars but for cleanliness. Unfortunately the kitchen sink does not have hot water so communal dishes are washed by other guests in cold water which is quite unsanitary. There are other problems with sanitation as well.
I loved this place and the people there. A real backpacker's backpacker. Difficult to get to and somewhat chaotic but the friendly staff and fellow travelers made it all worthwhile. Mosquitoes were a problem and it would be nice if the owners did some more maintenance. I suspect the owners are coasting along on the fame of the place.
