We had an excellent stay in the top floor room. The staff was kind and helpful answering all of our questions. The breakfast was delicious. They were especially helpful in being patient with us when our flights were delayed home. We loved this spot of our trip!

We stayed here for one night. We would have loved to have stayed on for longer but there was no reservation. The Riad is totally unassuming from the outside. Having just landed and driven in Casablanca, our pensive mood lifted once the Front Door opened. This is an old building renovated to a high standard. We had the Panorama Suite, which provided an amazing rooftop view. The rooms were very comfortable. We liked the Nespresso machine in the room. It was neat and clean. The bathroom is slightly modernised but the shower does overflow onto the floor. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was one of the best that we had in Morocco. The Riad is located in a far corner of the Medina. The street where we were dropped off looked a little run down but that was the only place where our bus could park. 200 matres from the Riad is another gate to walk towards the sea front or to the main parts of the Medina

Staff were incredibly hospitable and courteous and offered tea upon arrival. The riad was very clean and in a safe location. The breakfast was excellent with many options to choose from.

This place is truly special and amazing! We were staying a week in Essaouira and split our time between staying in town and outside of town at jJardin De Dours. This Riad was so incredible, we really wish that we would have stayed longer and can't wait to go back. They helped us with everything from a perfect dinner- don't miss having a meal here- it was soooo good- to restaurants, camel rides, ATV, and hamman/massages. The staff was beyond accommodating. Also, the location was perfect! It was easy to get around and we felt like we were living in a movie with how cool the town was. Essaouria is a must visit and was our favorite place in Morrocco- literally a dream. We have never visited anyplace like here, which makes it so special. Definitely go, stay here- and book the ATV and camel ride for sure!! Finally, I read a couple nights is fine for Essaouria, I highly suggest a minimum of 4 nights, there is so much to see and do here, 2 is not enough in our opinion. Thank you Riad Chbanate for the best memories!

A charming little riad with a fountain and garden open to the sky in the middle. The rooms are simply but elegantly appointed. The host brought up our bags and carefully explained everything about the room and procedures, then refused a tip saying it was his pleasure. We relaxed in the roof top hot tub and watched the sunset before retiring for the night. Our room had a roomy deep soaking tub, lots of hot water and fresh rose petals strewn all around the bathing area. A super comfy bed and delicious breakfast with real croissants. What more could you want?

The environment is very elegant, the breakfast is rich, it is right on the edge of Medina, the location is very easy to find, very close to the parking lot, and a 20-minute walk to the port. The waiters enthusiastically helped with the luggage. There is also a big turtle in the hotel, which the children like very much.

Super lovely Riad with the best service! We had the room at the top - almost a private space to our own, and loved the surrounding views from our balcony. Hot tub was a plus in the cold weather. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay - wished we could have stayed longer!

Very great place with really nice people and delicious meals ! Whether it's morning or evening, you can order and have a break in this little and peaceful spot... And many purring and lovely cats to share your meal with... If you're able to give away something ! ;]

The food looks good but is very disappointing. We ordered a lamb couscous and the dish was enormous but the actual piece of lamb ridiculously small. The salad that came with it had gone off. Only the juices were worth stopping in this place. Wouldn't recommend it.

We landed twice in this place mostly because of its nice location in a sunny and quiet square. Food was excellent, very fresh and big salads, we also tried the meat skewers which were of very good quality as well. Friendly stuff, prices more than reasonable!

I visited here last week on a day trip to Essaouria. It's in a little square just off from the medina; I used GPS to get there. It majors in burgers, wraps and things. The staff speak English and indeed are English, so there's a guilt factor involved - why did I go to Morocco to visit an English restaurant? am I turning into an ex-pat? - but you just have to learn to overcome that. I have no idea if you're supposed to tip or not, so I just rounded up to the nearest 10dh and ran away before they could offer me change.
I had a vege-chilli burger with two cups of pretty good milky coffee for 80dh (60dh for the food, 10dh each for the coffees), about £5.70. The burger was pretty big, there was a tonne of salad, plus more salad, it was my only meal that day and I didn't feel hungry the next day. You get crisps instead of chips, e.g. potato crisps, Walker's / Lay's crisps.
It's across from a couple of other restaurants. There were a number of stray cats, but they deliberately ignored me in a particularly cat-like way. Towards the end of the meal a local band popped up at the end of the table and started playing, and I deliberately ignored *them*. NB There's also a La Cantina in Marrakech, but it's totally different.
