Dar Adul in Essaouira

We spent only one night in this lovely riad - but intend to return! Our ground floor room suite was so roomy and beautifully decorated, as was the whole building. The balcony / sundeck was great, we spent a lovely half hour at sunset with mint tea and biscuits. The staff were really welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended.

We loved our room on the top floor on the terrace! There is a small upper deck overlooking the Atlantic. The owner and staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and at home!

A gorgeous Riad right in the heart of the Medina. The facilities were absolutely wonderful and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. I had a lovely room with a comfortable bed. Everything was super clean. The view from the room terrace is wonderful, especially to watch the sunset from. Thanks so much for a great stay.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolute perfection – you have to stay here! If you’re looking for the perfect place to stay, Dar Abul is it. We had the best time and honestly didn't want to leave. The Vibe & Decor The decor here is stunning. It’s got so much character and style—literally every room is "Instagram-ready." It feels high-end but also super cozy and welcoming at the same time. The Best Spots The rooftop terrace was our absolute favorite hangout. It’s the perfect spot to kick back, grab some fresh air, and just soak in the views. Our room was also huge, super comfy, and kept spotless the whole time. The People (The best part!) The staff are so friendly and always around if you need a hand with anything. But the real star of the show is the owner, Mary. She is amazing! She makes you feel like a friend rather than just a guest, and she’s clearly put her heart and soul into this place. The service was top-notch from start to finish. Do yourself a favor and book a stay here—you won’t regret it!

Beautifully situated just inside the old city walls, a stones throw from the sea. The roof top terraces have a magnificent sea view with different areas depending on what you fancy. There are loads of great restaurants, cafes and shops in the immediate area - the only difficulty is deciding which to choose. We stayed in Room 7, which opened through double doors onto one of the terraces. The room was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you’d expect, plus a heater, fan, and hairdryer for added comfort. The staff were warm and welcoming. Each morning, they served a generous breakfast—I especially loved the fresh orange juice and the perfectly seasoned omelet. All in all, it was a delightful stay, and I only wish we could have stayed longer!

Located in the heart of Essaouira's 18th century arabesque medina the guest house provides excellent hospitality and value for money. It has a range of bedroom options, all of which come with gorgeous en-suite facilities, top quality linens, super-fast broadband and a tasty continental breakfast. If you have ever dreamt of staying in affordable luxury and watching the sunset from a north African rooftop terrace, then this is the place for you.

Superb and Exceptional!! Everything about my stay in this beautiful Riad was perfect and couldn't have been better. The atmosphere is stunning with eclectic traditional and contemporary Moroccan artwork, richly patterned rugs, blankets and pillows, ample space in my room and exceptional ambience in the Salon. The staff were super friendly and helpful and gave me excellent tips of where to go to eat and shop within the Medina which was also great because the Riad is in a central location, close to everything I needed and only a short walk to the beautiful beach. My room was exceedingly clean and I thoroughly enjoyed delicious breakfasts and sunsets on the roof terrace overlooking the sea. Wonderful, wonderful stay and I look forward to returning!!

What a lovely place! Dar Adul is thoughtfully decorated with eclectic artwork and beautiful, comfortable furniture. Loved the high quality bed and sheets, large and fluffy towels. The Riad is kept impeccably clean, the staff is friendly and competent. Owner Mary is a fabulous hostess and she has plenty of helpful information to share, from navigating the medina to the best restaurants. We stayed in Suite 5, which has a well equipped kitchen. And of course, delicious breakfast on the terrace, that's hard to beat! A wonderful travel experience, thank you, Mary and Crew!!

A great location in the medina, near the north wall. Quiet, with a lovely rooftop terrace, where we had great breakfasts with an ocean view. Our room on the first floor was very comfortable, with a large bathroom. The staff is friendly, helpful, and professional.

We stayed at Dar Adul for 5 days. The delicious breakfasts on the top terrace were a favorite of all. Mary & the staff are genuinely warm & friendly. My room was comfortable and eclectic...I highly recommend this riad.
