Towels and bathrobes also had to be requested; if you didn't ask, you wouldn't get them. The provided bedding, towels, and bathrobes were all quite old, not bright white, and not starched

The same went for towels; I asked twice, and they still weren't changed a day later. Finally, on the third attempt at the front desk, they were replaced

It's also very close to the metro and train, which is super convenient! Even though it's not in the city center, it's only a 10-15 minute metro ride from Central Station, and just a 3-4 minute walk straight from the metro exit

I used a voucher once to get a sparkling juice from the 2nd-floor bar. **Problem:** Replenishing essential supplies was inconsistent. The tissue box wasn't refilled when I checked in, with only a few tissues left

If I indicated I didn't need my room cleaned by hanging the 'green' eco-friendly sign, they wouldn't clean it, and in return, I'd get a soft drink voucher for the bar

This only happened when I dealt with Southeast Asian front desk staff; when I spoke to European staff, replacements arrived within 10 minutes

Close to metro. Clean and spacious good equipped room. Comfortable bed. Big and clean bathroom. All worked perfectly. Excellent Staff. Daily room service.

As for the room maintenance, our room was not vacuum cleaned the second day of our stay. Everything was provided at bare mininmum, only 2 pillows and no face towels were provided

Location is perfect, the team is nice and helpful, the environment is perfect! But the window curtains don’t block the sunlight well, especially in the early morning, which means people who are sensitive to sleeping in light might feel some discomfort

The hotel location is excellent, which locates in a quiet and safe neighbourhood, very convenient to go to the attraction spots, just several metro stops away

We had a comfortable stay in Marriot, the room was spacious and the location was close to every where, the service was great as well

Great stay at the Marriott Amsterdam ! The localisation is perfect, not far from all the shops, close to the supermarket Spar. The staff is really Nice, the room ( 2 double beds) was clean and refreshed everyday

Stayed here for two nights. The staff here is super nice, rooms are clean and spacious. Loved the location- near all the bars and restaurants. The breakfast buffet was a huge letdown so I would recommend to skip it.

The letter O room has a excellent view from the room. It made being away from family on Christmas day a lot easier to handle. We took the ferry over, it is just a short walk from there.

This property is so unique and definitely worth staying at. We stayed in the B room. The ferry was so convenient and ran till 2am.

The letter L loft was the most unique room we have stayed at, the views were great and the staff were very helpful.

Amazing staff and my loft letter "E" was unbeleivable. You have the ferry to cross the canal right next to you.

Good hotel with great location.

The executive lounge room type was incredibly affordable. We could grab a soft drink before heading out and upon returning, and they even offered free Japanese beer and some snacks

I thought the breakfast at the lounge in the mornings was quite good too – perfect for a quick bite if you can't make it to regular breakfast. Plus, the lounge view was fantastic! 👍

The facilities were perfect, and unlike most places in Europe where you pay for everything, this hotel provided a complimentary still water and a sparkling water bottle daily

Tea and coffee facilities were separate on level 3 in a beautiful lounge and always available 247!! The breakfasts were amazing… quality/ choice and extremely good value for money

Near excellent We were very pleased with our stay at the Van de Valk hotel. Well situated just out side of the centre. Rooms were on the big side giving you lots of room

There is no way this is a 5 star hotel… no Spa, no pool , and a very poor breakfast…  Rooms are tiny and extremely noisy ( i got the room above the bar and you can hear the noise from there as well as the trameway )…  Cleaning is average ( floor wad dusty the whole stay ) Amneties are not provided unless you ask ( and then you wait for 5 minutrs to one hour to get them … and this in case they don...

Great location and a stone’s throw from Central Station. Very helpful staff with a warm friendly approach. They all deserve positive feedback and remain motivated for those travellers coming for short stays.

Enjoyed my first stay at Kimpton in Amsterdam, its a large hotel with spacious rooms. Bathroom and bedroom space was good (King room, no balcony), and we enjoyed having a view

Really liked this hotel but it is far from the Centre of Amsterdam made more difficult because of construction on nearby building. Staff are great and very helpful and attractive.

Amazing location if you want to relax but not be to far from the action. Amsterdam central is 3 stop from the hotel and the hotel is a 5-7kins walk from the tram station .

I enjoyed the scenery along the way, and it was a bonus to catch a rowing competition happening on the Amstel River – quite a sight! The hotel's room service was excellent, and housekeeping was always prompt

The hotel amenities was surprisely good. We enjoy our upgraded room and a welcome drink. We can left our luggages for 2 days during our short trip to Giethrone

For a W hotel, the experience was not as good as it is in other locations The location is ok , but the tram passing by and the noisy bars might be noisy especially when you are on lower floors The room is OK , nothing really special about it, and feel soulless with kitchy decorations and wall paintings Breakfast is not bad as well Cleaning is ok but i found a silverfish on the room… not to mention...

The room is quirky and does not look and feel like W standard. It is not functional and overall does not justify the price. Disappointed

The service was terrible, the breakfast was terrible and to top it all of it took me 2 months to get my security deposit back. When I asked them about it they kept saying the will ask the financial team

I even wrote a letter to the headquarters. This hotel wasn’t up to the W standards. I’ve stayed in many W hotels and this was by far the worst

It was only after i contacted their headquarters did I get my money back. Moral of the story is the hotel isn’t worth the price!

This is my fifth stay for work here. The rooms are boring but good and clean, the showers are great with lots of hot water. Don’t really like the breakfast, the eggs are terrible but for the price it’s good

The hotel is very close to the train, tram and bus station. It also has a convenience store nearby if you need anything. The facilities are clean and well-maintained. I would recommend it to everyone else.

The amenities they provide is also very good Its just 1 thing that bother me, my shower in my toilet got clogged, so if i shower more than 10minutes, i need to wait for 5minutes for the water to clear from the floortrap

Room & bed is spacious, comfortable. We having breakfast at the hotel, as a muslim, we got served halal salami, that is rare thing that you can get especially for hotel in Europe

Staff is friendly and helpful, specially Martin at the reception who did a wonderful job. To improve: add more kitchen ware like tupperwares, bowls, sharp knives and add an exercise room to the hotel for it to be perfect

We arrived early (10 AM) and had to rent a locker, which cost €4–€6 for hourly/6-hour use. Be aware of this if you check in early! Despite the fee, the location and atmosphere make this place highly recommended

We stayed here the last week it was open. I can understand why the owners are going to spend the next two years renovating the place. It was a little on the tired side

Given that everybody either didn't have a job at the end of the week or were being transferred to another hotel, I could understand. The location is a bit away from the city center

The first room allocated was full of cigarette smell, but the staff was helpful enough to let us change into another one immediately.  The bike racks are a bit small and full though.

The lobby was huge with big windows overlooking the canal, the hallways had wood paneling that matched the build-ins in the rooms. I hope both stay as they were

What made it even more delightful was the warm service from Anastasia. She welcomed us so kindly with a bright smile and genuine care. Her friendly attitude made our mornings so much more pleasant

Wonderful experiance. Weather is cold in this season..express in hotels do not have fridge, oven and water bottles in the room..but according to staff, tap water is safe. Overall a good experiance.

Great hotel, very quiet, comfy beds, great sized room! Excellent shower! Bring your own toiletries, soaps/shampoo very drying! Hotel was a bit out of the way but within the boundaries of Amsterdam travel ticket, with the ability to use all forms of public transport, similar to an Oystercard but lasts for 24 hours

The hotel is conveniently located near a commercial area with plenty of dining and entertainment options, including movie theaters. It's also close to the train and bus stations, making transportation easy

Beautiful hotel from the moment you walk in the doors rooms are well presented clean and a good size for Amsterdam, my only issue was the mattress toppers were beyond worn and all bubbley which made it feel like the bed was full of crumbs which made for a sleepless night, other then that the the staff were as friendly and warm as could be which just added to the hotels overall charm

We did some sauna before the breakfast. It's like the perfect way to start your Sunday. The service is very handsome there and they try there best to make my stay as calm as possible

Hidden gem of a hotel!! So nice and so professional , and priced well. The interior reminds me of The Shining from Steven King, but the rooms are spacious and the design is lovely

Rooms are spacious and they offer several interconnecting rooms which is convenient for families. Depending on the location of your room you might hear some of the night life, but it was well within limits

The spa with swimming pool is great, just keep in mind to reserve a time slot (September 2021 Covid restrictions). I would definitely recommend to include breakfast which is hosted in the hotel's Bridges restaurant

Absolutely beautiful hotel. The super friendly waiters in the restaurant were actually the best part! Downside: super super small gym (basically for 1 person, but 4 were allowed) + the distance to the city center.

Strategically situated right opposite Amsterdam Central train station. Well maintained clean and spacious room. I took the executive room for 3 nights and was upgraded to junior suite

Very convenient location 1 minute from Central station, providing easy access to the airport. Here, in the square tour bus stop and the pier with boats on the canals. Then the metro station and the old town
