The room number turned out to be the last four digits of my Chinese mobile phone number! The Grand Hyatt exceeded my expectations by a lot; it was absolutely gorgeous at night. Seriously, DO NOT take a taxi from the hotel! You'll get ripped off! A taxi hailed outside costs 2 local currency (around 40 RMB), but the hotel charges 10 local currency (around 200 RMB) for the same ride. Always confirm the price before getting in! I got scammed, and it completely ruined my otherwise great impression of Oman. The hotel taxi service at the end just spoiled everything!

Our second stay, this time in a smallish room (Serai) but with an unobstructed view of pool, gardens and sea. Comfortable bed, great service all around, very good breakfast. Large gardens, 3 pools, several restaurants - a great place to stop before/after touring this beautiful country.

The hotel has a private beach and the staff are enthusiastic. However, the cleanliness was a bit lacking. The electric kettle in the room was full of limescale, and even after telling them to replace it, no one did. The toilet also broke.

The hotel is located on the beachfront, right next to the sea, but swimming is impossible due to the waves and the red flag! It's impossible to book a room for 1 person with breakfast included (only for 2 people at a time). Breakfast is good, but you can't eat on the terrace because a flock of crows swoops down and all the chairs are dirty. Why doesn't the restaurant put up bird nets like other hotels...

Friendly staff the only bad thing I can mention got nothing to do with the hotel but is the taxi drivers who wait outside in front of the street at the hotel. If you use the otaxi app they will respond and tell you you have to pay double price. You better of renting a car or book a taxi with the otaxi app from a location nearby.

Everything was great! There are shops and affordable cafes nearby, and you can get anywhere in the city within 15 minutes by taxi.

Good hotel. It's a 15-minute taxi ride from the airport. Most of Muscat's interesting sights are no more than 20 minutes away by taxi. Oman Avenues Mall is within walking distance. The staff were friendly. The room was large, clean, and everything was new. Breakfasts were generally good, but not perfect 😀

The hotel is perfectly fine. There is ample parking and the rooms are large. Unfortunately, waiters often clear the entire table during meals, even when there is still food on the plate being eaten.
