Xerion Hotel in Krakow

I love this hotel. My Wife and I travel a lot and have stayed in all kinds of accommodation around Europe and we rate this place highly. The staff are friendly and professional, the room was spacious with a large wet room. The breakfast has a wonderful selection of food, one of the best we've come across. It's in a good location near to a rail link for the airport, yet a quiet area. The courtyard facing rooms are quiet and one of the most unusual layouts we have ever seen, value for money is great and I highly recommend this place to all travelers.

We have loved our stay here. An immaculate hotel, beds so comfy which is so important! The breakfast superb with loads of choice. All the staff were so attentive and polite. They went out of their way to help. Area is so convenient also

Friendly reception staff always willing to help. Good location outside the main hub but very easy to travel to Wawel castle and the main square either walking or by tram. Quiet at night. Nice restaurant. Room was very spacious

I've recently got back from Krakow having visited there for 4 nights (from Monday through to Friday) with my Dad. Having booked the holiday on the preceding Friday through Jet2, we ended-up staying at the Xerion Hotel in a standard room with twin-beds. Overall, the hotel selection was a great choice for what we wanted, and would definitely recommend; here's some pro's and cons below: Pros: + Hotel was well situated just across the Vistula River, with around a 35 minute walk to get to the Main square (Rynek Glowny) in Krakow, an even shorter walk to get to the Old Jewish Quarter (Kazimierz) and particularly close to attractions such as Oskar Schindler's Enamel Factory & the Jewish Ghetto Memorial. + We had breakfast only included in our reservation which was perfect... selection of hot english breakfast items (sausages, bacon, friend eggs, mushrooms, baked beans etc.), cold cheeses/meats, fruit, cereals, breakfast cakes/pastries, hot drinks (incl. comprehensive coffee machine)/cold juices etc. all of which were self-served from a buffet-style corner. Also included for free was the option of ordering an omelette, scrambled eggs and also oatmeal/porridge to be made for you fresh by just asking a staff-member. + The Tinctura restaurant where you have breakfast on the hotel's ground-floor is open from 0700-2200L (breakfast served between 0700-1100L) as far as I'm aware, and they do a great lunch/evening meal menu which came in handy on the night we arrived (having arrived late), as they cook meals up until 2130L as far as I'm aware. As for the bar section, a vast range of drinks on offer, cocktails, bottled beverages and some alcohol on draft which are well priced and served by a friendly staff-member; noticed many of the hotel guests used this bar after a long-day before heading off to bed, so a nice relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant has two sections, of which you can sit in either; one side where you can watch the chef's prepare the food, and the other where the bar is/breakfast buffet corner. Room service also available, but we didn't use this so can't comment too much on that front. + Hotel was always clean, tidy and modern, including our room, which was cleaned on a daily basis. Plenty of storage in the rooms too, and also a storage room for suitcases/baggage (staff access only) on your last-day if you have a late check-out (like we did) so you can continue exploring without taking your suitcases around the city. Cons (areas for improvement more-so): - Each bed had a singular large pillow in our room, the size of two normal pillows conjoined... we got used to adjusting this but did make it difficult getting comfortable the first couple of nights, so would like to see the hotel replace these with x2 separate pillows. - We found our room temperature quite warm for the most-part, and the air-con control didn't appear to work when we tried using it. Very good hotel. Our room was cleaned every day throughout our 4 nights at the Xerion hotel. Reception were friendly and helpful and always there if you needed help. We stayed in A17 in the atrium, big room equipped with what we need- a great huge walk in shower nice and warm. On arrival, we were given a complimentary drinks voucher and we also had breakfast on one of the days which was great 👌. Walk into krakow was about 35 minutes, a Bolt taxi was very cheap about 12 zloty and only takes 10 minutes. HOWEVER A FEW THINGS MAKE THIS HOTEL A FOUR STAR INSTEAD OF FIVE LISTED BELOW… 1. The atrium rooms have a big glass door? Everyone can see in unless you close the curtains which makes it dark. 2. You walk outside into the corridor and it’s all open roof- lovely design but makes it very cold. Much like a Motel. 3. We had a king size bed and had single duvets, this wasn’t great for a 6 foot 4 male. 4. The carpets were very dirty and stained in need of a good carpet cleaner machine. 5. Fridge not working in A17. 6. You had 2 little pots of milk, and a few condiments. It would be nice maybe to have biscuits in the room on arrival. Other than that, great hotel and would definitely return👌 just needs a few little improvements but nothing off putting!

There's lots of great things about this hotel. Location to trams, staff, room size etc. The atrium rooms are a little strange. They are actually outside in a motel type vibe. Still fine. The staff are great. They don't always acknowledge or deal with issues. For example, the atrium rooms have glass doors. Our curtain was missing a couple of curtain hooks. This enabled people to see in whilst we were sleeping. This remained unresolved despite bringing it to the attention of Reception staff. We made our own repair using tape. The TV is still an object of mystery. It didn't work on the channel guide. Basically no connection. It did work on apps and we managed to sign in on Prime. I mentioned this at the beginning and end of our stay. I would say this was met with indifference at best. But don't let this put you off. The breakfast is great, you are in the heart of the Jewish Quarter, 5 minutes from the Korona tram stop and the number 8 tram to the Old Town. Great bathroom with a superb shower. Would stay again.

We stayed at the Xerion Hotel in Krakow for 3 nights and thought that the hotel was lovely. The atrium room was very nice and clean, the beds were super comfortable and the room was warm and cosy which as it was freezing outside was great. The hotel bar and restaurant were great and always had staff on hand to serve you. The hotel do have a luggage room so you can leave your cases when checking out and going out for the day before your flight. It was also in a great location when walking you got to see lots of different areas on the way up to the old town. Overall a great stay and would definitely come back to Xerion Hotel again.
