Disappointed to find bar not open this time of year. Unexpected in a 5 star hotel and not informed at time of booking. Also booked double/queen bed but twin singles in the room and I was told they could only suggest we push them together!! Not very 5 star.

This is a 'grand hotel' set right in the heat of the Old Town, just off the corner of the main square, so perfectly located!
The rooms are extremely comfortable and very clean.
Breakfast is plentiful, although the coffee machine didn't produce the best drinks.
We were slightly disappointed that it didn't have an open bar, although on our last night the staff were very accommodating and allowed us to sit there, and served us drinks. We were told that it would be open regularly when the season picked up in a couple of weeks time. It really didn't put us off. Staff were really friendly.
There's a mini-bar in the rooms - which is seldom seen these days, and there were a couple of bottles of free water provided each day.
Overall we were very pleased with our stay, and would consider the hotel again.

The hotel is very centrally located and has a very impressive architecture, but the rooms (at least ours) are quite small, the mattresses are somewhat uncomfortable, and the pillows are very thin.

Family trip to the Christmas market in Krakow. We found the perfect hotel location online. Although the hotel is very well-maintained, it's showing its age. Not recommended during the colder months. We had two rooms, one well-heated, the other freezing cold, even with an outside temperature of -2°C. When we asked reception to check, they told us it would get warmer after 7:00 PM (!), since it's an old building. Hot water arrived after about 10 minutes, albeit in an ice-cold bathroom. Again, the receptionist said, "It's an old building!" The building is very noisy; guests from England weren't very considerate and made noise in the hallways at night. Parking is available at the hotel, but costs a hefty €47 per night (200 zł). Not a good value option nearby.

In short: prime location in the Old Town, but not for those who prefer warm showers during the colder months... Not for me and my daughters.
