I had a great stay at Browns Downtown Hotel. The design is beautiful, very stylish and thoughtfully curated, with a concept that feels both inspiring and comfortable. The atmosphere makes you feel at home while still being right in the heart of Lisbon, just a five-minute walk from Praça do Comércio.

Breakfast is served at Browns Central, which is on the same street, about a two- to three-minute walk away. At first, I was slightly unsure about this arrangement, but it truly turned out to be a great experience. It gave me the opportunity to discover another property from the same group, and the breakfast was absolutely excellent. The space there is also very cozy and welcoming, so it didn’t feel inconvenient at all.

Overall, I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a well-designed and comfortable stay in central Lisbon.

Pretty clean and central location. The staff were friendly.

We stayed for three nights. It was very close to the subway station and in a great location for accessing the airport and sightseeing in the city center. The hotel was very clean and, as is typical in Portugal, had wine glasses and an opener. The only thing they didn't provide was conditioner, so I recommend bringing your own!

The room is within walking distance of the Arc de Triomphe, Lisbon Cathedral, São Jorge Castle, and elevators. It's also within a 500-meter walk to two different metro stations and multiple bus stops, making it very convenient! The room provides complimentary bottled water, coffee, and tea. Breakfast wasn't included, but there are plenty of food options nearby, and it's very close to the popular UMA seafood paella restaurant. The room and bathroom are indeed small, but this is a common issue with cheaper hotels in Europe. Overall, highly recommended!

Amazing room highly recommended

Excellent service, a very comfortable room, and helpful staff. However, there was a significant drawback to our room facing the courtyard. The courtyard was undergoing renovations, so opening the window was impossible. It smelled strongly of paint. The room was very stuffy, and the air conditioning didn't help, only slightly cooling the air. The room smelled of cleaning product and couldn't be ventilated. People with allergies or asthma should take this into account.

The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes' walk from the metro station and next to the downtown area. The room size is not large, but considering the location and service, I think it is good value for money. The restaurant right next to the hotel was also delicious, so I recommend it.

The location is excellent, it couldn't be better. Everything is within walking distance and practically "just around the corner." There are a huge number of restaurants, souvenir shops, and the metro. The street itself is quiet; all the action happens on the neighboring streets. You can drive up to unload your luggage, but long-term parking is prohibited. The hotel is very stylish; on the ground floor there is a large lounge with a coffee machine, lemonade, and cookies (free). The building is historic, so there is no kitchen; for breakfast, you have to go to the restaurant of the hotel next door, which is part of the same chain. The breakfast is not particularly varied, just basic continental dishes. A bonus is the Marshall speakers in the room, which is nice to listen to your playlist after a long day. One of the downsides is the soundproofing: the floors are wooden, so you can hear every step from the hallway. During our stay, one of our neighbors spent hours talking on the phone at night, and every word was audible. Overall, if you're unlucky with your neighbors on the same floor, it will be an unpleasant experience.

The reception area is nice and cozy, so is the room. Room is a bit small but uncomfortable. Design of bathroom is compact but shower cant seem to keep water in, even though the shower cubicle door is close shut. It must be a problem as the bathroom timber door is warped from the water on the floor.
Besides the shower, it was a pleasant stay as it’s located near train station n able to walk everywhere easily

New Year Dinner was 195 € + wine pairing 34 €. Food was very god, tasty, innovative but quality on plates were rather non-standardized (as you observed what fellow guest had on their plates). I even missed yuzu sorbet from my dessert plate and my spuse had to request for it! The waiter couldn’t understand what was wrong with my plate.
Together with foie gras no wine was served, only when I asked whether there should have been wine, we got it AFTERWARDS!
Water was not filled, not without asking for it. Perhaps it was, because we were two males having dinner together, I don’t know. Everybody else around seemed to receive their glasses filled. Our water bottles were emptied by guest in the next table...
You couldn’t make a reservation unless you sent a banktransfer for 50 % of the dinner first. But after 55 minutes of waiting for the check this prepayment was not withdrawn from your bill. Eventually the restaurant Tagide owner had decided that the unfortunate staff had to try to do a successfull profit from the evening
The dining room was UNDERSTAFFED - -definitely, as the dining room was fully occupied. All the guest seemed to have troubles with their dinner or checks.
VERY unfortunate that the owner did not show up - she most certainly thought she could sip hee champagne rlsewhere and leave her staff in trouble. Which was the case!

Great view if you can reserve in advance a table close to the big window. Food quality not constant (is decreased, in my experience and opinion, over the 5 times I was there). However the standard is above average and it is anyhow a pleasant experience.

Amazing view of Lisbon. Good food although a tad expensive for what you get. Small portions too. Friendly service.
