Lovely bed, shower and breakfast! I love the fresh orange juice…super yummy!!! Will be back again
This hotel is absolutely exquisite! I loved it. The lobby seems to open to the public for dining in the evenings, but the entire hotel feels very secure, with key card access to the upper floors and a safe in the room! Compared to the tiny, overpriced rooms you often find in Europe, this hotel room felt exceptionally spacious! Plus, the front desk offers delicious egg tarts and wine! Both tasted fantastic...
Outstanding staff, great breakfast, well appointed rooms, nice bar
Would stay there again in a minute
Cosy and clean room, friendly staff.
Excellent service and quality, along with great value for money.
Slightly out of town and about 10 mins walk to the metro. Modern and rooms in good condition. Very helpful staff. Good value for money.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, it is spacious, clean, quiet (at least at the floor we were; otherwise at another floor, it was much less quiet ... when passing by it, it was obvious - from the sound through the door - what was happening in one room) and easy to get to due to its close access to the tram (which can get us into the city).
The staff was dedicated (especially Carlos, really...
It is a excellent hotel and good in price in Europe.
But it is a little bit far away from the city centre.
If you want to to have a good and silent sleeping place. I recommend it.
In the same street, there are a supermarket and buy a simple breakfast and coffee. So chill
It was really good, there was even a kitchen to heat up tea in the microwave, I loved it
Metro was close so it was easy to get to the centre of the City and also the airport
Spacious room with well-defined and private areas. It has all the necessary amenities. Adequate hairdryer. Separate shower. Welcome drink. I recommend it.
A wonderful place to stay! Modern, tastefully furnished rooms with air conditioning, a small kitchenette in the hallway, and a very beautiful bathroom. The service was always polite and charming!

Its a Good hotel to stay. Location is good. Service is very good.
Its a Good hotel to stay. Location is good. Service is very good.
We could not have been more pleased with this hotel. We have traveled all over Europe and this may have been our favorite place that we have ever stayed. Clean, great location, amazing value, comfortable. The front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. Super responsive to all of our questions, A big shout out to Pedro. It's rare that you see someone who enjoys their work so much, knows their customers...
Ideal location, wonderful staff, very clean! What’s not to like?! A great location, parking available a few minute walk away from the hotel. €24 for 24hour; parking is an art in some of the carpark facilities in Portuguese cities- this was probably one of the easier ones if you’re happy to play bumper cars 😆 Hotel is central - close to main attractions, quieter streets and local transport. Hard...

Room was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. The towel rack in the bathroom was lying on the floor so it was unusable. The floor in the shower was marble so it was very slippery and unsafe. There were no handrails in the shower to hold on to steady oneself on the slippery marble floor. Breakfast choices were many. The croissant I had was stale but the rest of the pastries were fine...

Ideal location, helpful staff, spacious room
Excellent hotel with spacious and clean rooms. It feels like a step back in time. Friendly staff (they even let us check in early). Strategic central location to reach everything on foot. Simple breakfast but with both sweet and savory options. Excellent value for money!!!
The hotel is very central, close to the metro, clean, and the courtesy and friendliness are top priority. The rooms, although a little dated, are spotless and spacious, and the breakfast is top-notch. Highly recommended.
The hotel was clean and the rooms were spacious, but the lighting in the rooms was poor, the bathroom was very old and outdated, and the breakfast was very basic and simple! It could be improved.
Good place for this money. Clean rooms. Great location, next to the metro station, close to the cathedral and many shops and cafes around. My friend and I booked room for 2 people but we got double room … with 1 big bed and 2 single beds, so both of us had more privacy, which was a nice surprise. Hotel is obviously old, but for this price we liked it.
The hotel was centrally located,3 min away from the Metro station BOLHAO,also 2 min away from Caterina shopping centre , Mercado do Bolhao and The church of Santa Caterina. You could walk to almost every tourist site.Room was clean, very basic and b'fast was also very basic, but it was ok Would gladly book again if in Porto.we got our money's worth for sure.Must not forget the staff, which were very helpful...

The staff was outstanding. They were very professional, courteous and quick to respond to our requests. The room was spotless and breakfast was delicious. I would absolutely recommend Castelo Santa Catarina to my friends and family.
Amazing!! No elevator in castle part but it was great!!The restaurant was the best dinner we had in all of Portugal.
Great staying in the castle. Beautifully tiled bathroom. Fancy fixtures including a bidet.
The room was humid , wished the ac was cold. But overall great room.
Beautiful unique property . A glimpse into the past. The pictures on the website are accurate. Very attentive, gracias staff. Great stay .
Staying at Castelo Santa Catarina was a charming experience, a classic castle full of character and beautiful details. However, the breakfast was average, and the Wi-Fi signal was weak even near the reception. Also, there are many stairs, so it’s not very accessible.

I had a wonderful stay at the ibis Porto Centro Mercado do Bolhão. The hotel was very clean, the service excellent, and the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, and everything is easily accessible. The air conditioning wasn't working on the first evening, but it was fixed immediately.
Highly recommended! ⭐️
Location is perfect really best price for this location. Hotel entertainment looks like apartment. Don’t be surprised
It’s small and cute
Don’t think rooms and balconies are big according to photos everything is small but useful. It will satisfy you
We love the location, close to markets, bolhao metro 5 min, bigger train station for intercity Porto São Bento 15 min walk. We walked everywhere for foods, shopping & sightseeing.
The rooms were minimalist & functional. Beds and the room temperature were comfortable. Hotel looks clean inside the room & hallways. Staffs were friendly & helpful.
Clean room, very friendly attitude towards checking in with a dog, excellent walking distance to everything around.
The hotel was incredibly clean and excellent.
This is a pretty standard business hotel. The cleanliness and convenience were both excellent, but they didn't offer any complimentary water or snacks.

Very good! There was just one small flaw: I rented a room for two people and there were only towels for one.
The hotel was spotless, and the staff was very friendly on the day of the power outage.
The room was quite spacious, except there was barely enough room to walk between the footboard and the wall. Everything else was fantastic!
In general the hotel is very good. You have to sort out the good and the bad, the good thing is its location on a main street but out of the crowd, the breakfast is very rich and varied. The bad thing is that although it was clean there was humidity in the room and when you passed it you had to breathe normally.
Full and good breakfast. The rooms are not soundproofed at all.
The air conditioning did not work well, the person in charge did not give us a solution, we spent about two hours trying to maintain a pleasant temperature and at two in the morning we had to sleep somehow, with the temperature not so pleasant, the room was well organized and clean but with this temperature detail, the experience was ruined, the included breakfast was good.
It was in a good location close to the city centre with lots of historical sites. The space was a very big for 5 people and there were three separate bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The only downside is that it's a walk up the hill and that the walls are very thin so that you can hear other people in other rooms and the elevator very loudly.

Nice hotel.
Room was small with very small bathroom.
Great location. Would recommend
Staff great. Tight space in the room and we didn’t care. Cabs and Ubers can’t find it. Have to get luggage to wherever they will pick you up. Staff the BEST. Bar tender can relate to anyone. I’d go back in a heartbeat.
I booked a three-night stay at this hotel. The facilities were generally acceptable, but the communication was confusing and made us quite unpleasant. Initially, we reserved a twin-bed room for twin room through Trip.com, but upon arrival, we were told only a single-bed room was available—this might have been Trip.com's issue. During check-in, we explained to the staff that we were a family of three...
The letter I received upon entering the hotel was impressive. There was a welcome drink, and the room was clean and nice.

Hotel was conveniently located in the centre. Easy walking distance to popular sites. The staff were also really friendly and helpful with recommendations.
Beds were very comfy. Only thing was that the toilet, while massive, had a not so well designed shower area where the water would spill outside. A curtain could help.
Air conditioning is off at night due to the cold weather so the windows have to be open letting mosquitoes in.
Very noisy day and night from construction and party goers. Barely had a wink of sleep.
Very good location & great services

Excellent Boutique Hotel, very nice Garden with Staircase up to Viewpoint over the City! Gated Parking across the Street
I was able to find parking easily on the street but the hotel has a parking garage (for fee). The room was comfortable and clean; breakfast was varied and delicious (fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, cereal, pastries, ham, cheeses, breads and croissants). Coffee was good. We had breakfast in the courtyard which was really nice and quiet. Historic district was an easy walk away. I would stay there again...

The hostess was super nice. We were able to leave our luggage with her and walk around the city. When we came back, she had brought our luggage in the room which was very nice of her. The room was very spacious and clean and the place was central to everything we wanted to see. There was a Spar right across the street which was very convenient too.
Absolutely fantastic! Great walking proximity to waterfront and Ribera District, shops and amenities. Maria the hostess was fantastic. I highly recommend this for this price range.
Overall a great find in Porto! Very comfortable, practical amenities in the room, keyless entry, a strong AC unit that worked well in summer heat, and located on a quieter street that was still near much daytime/nighttime things.

Perfect location, good service; Room is not spacious, although the Triple room we have can accommodate 3 people without feeling overcrowded, just tight.
Did not try their breakfast, as we prefer to try different food every morning, and there are many options around the hotel.
It was close to the metro and convenient for sightseeing. There are few amenities so it's best to prepare your own.
Luggage unfriendly because there is a long staircase. Also the room is not the same as the photos in trip.com. However, the room cleaning service is very good.
Hotel perfectly located in Porto, close to amenities and places to visit.
The big downside is the soundproofing of the rooms, we hear everything that happens in the hotel. Do not go to this hotel if you want to have a good night's sleep.
The cleanliness and the facilities are great.
And nothing to say about the breakfast at 5€!
Excellent location in the center of the city, near train and metro station, no drinking water, soap and shampoo inside the room, bring your own amenities, the weak point is the hotel reception is on the first floor and no elevator from ground floor to first floor (but between floor inside hotel, the elevator is available).
The location is good, in the city center, next to Freedom Square, 30 meters away from the most beautiful McDonald's, the service is very good, free hot water is provided. The room is too small, there is no desk.

Wonderful hotel... comfortable, cozy and clean room... delicious breakfast on the roof... recommend to everyone... thank you very much
I do not understand how this is a two-star review here on Google as it should be a five star. Easily a five-star. Location and staff, made this hotel 5 stars.
Staff was friendly polite and helping. That is a place to stay!
Probably the best European hotel my mom and I have stayed in. The reception was lovely, accommodating, and so friendly. Everything was great about the hotel; cleanliness, location & vibes were on point. And a discount on the taxi they call to take you to the airport! Definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying in Porto.
Lovely location and the staff were all really helpful and attentive. The breakfast was ok but not varied through the week.
Should be a 3/4* hotel. Staff were FANTASTIC and even put our backpacks in our room for us. Location great and room comfortable. Would highly recommend and a good price even compared to the hostels. Great place for plays, musicals, ballets and, concerts. Small venue, all seats are great and the acoustics are awesome.
Wonderful 20 year anniversary show by Os Azeitonas. Started just a bit after 21h and finished at about 00h10!!! The venue is a little old and shows its age in spots, but the acoustics and the crowd were all great! The staff were very helpful as well.
There is little space between seats which makes it uncomfortable especially during hot nights. It could do with a refurb.
Only one bar opened for the show so we couldn't get a drink. At least some vending machines would be helpful.
Needs some tlc as it looks tired with cracks on walls and ceiling.
Besides that the Russell Howard was great.
We took our children to see the circus here. It was a very entertaining time with quality acrobatics. The clowns were entertaining, if a little drawn out. The seats were comfortable and you can see the action from anywhere.
Great venue and acoustics. First time visiting as a foreigner who didn't understand that there weren't seating allocations for the whole theatre - but it was good as we got to choose our vantage point and move around. Logistics getting in could be better managed, however.

The location wasn't bad either.
The room was as described. Excellent service. I appreciated the private garage. The breakfast was minimal but adequate. The only drawback was that the room faced the avenue, making it very noisy until late at night.

My stay in Santa Clara do Porto, it was very good, the reception was great and fast. The room have amenities basics like and a good cleaning.

Near Bolhão Station, there are restaurants, souvenir shops, and other travel essentials, as well as Bolhão Market and the Almas Cathedral, making it the perfect base for sightseeing!
It was a little disappointing that there was no hairdryer or refrigerator, but we were very satisfied with the cleanliness and hospitality!!

We forgot to book a night of our stay & The Rex was kind enough to let us stay in the room. Great breakfast in the morning & friendly staff. Perfect location if you’re okay with walking a bit down to the river.
Beautiful, historical, helpful, and comfortable easy parking, lovely lobby and perfect room close restaurants and 5 min walk to metro for easy access to the city!
Great small hotel with everything we needed. On site parking, a lift and a good breakfast. Comfortable room and a good bathroom.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Rex. The hotel is in a beautiful heritage building, but the facilities are modern and comfortable. The staff was helpful and welcoming. It's located in a quieter area, but a very short walk to all the action. We will stay here again.
Quiet, modernized rooms in traditional building. Limited secure car parking under the building. About 10 minutes walk to the restaurant/business district, a bit farther to the historic district. The room was small but good enough for a solo traveller like myself. I was very surprised on the quality of cleanliness and daily housekeeping - for this price it was truly commendable. This hotel offers great value for money. It's located in the city center, making it convenient for access to popular tourist destinations.
It was very convenient because there was a supermarket 30 seconds away on foot. It is also close to the bus stop and train station, so it is very convenient for traveling.
A centrally located hotel that allows you to walk everywhere. The room was perfect for a couple of days. The pillow was a bit firm, but didn't hinder sleep.
The rooms are quite small, so if you are traveling with a family, this is worth taking into account. The location is excellent and there is a discount on parking. There is direct access to the supermarket (with good breakfast options).

Great location. Okay rooms for the price.
First of, even though the hotel is on one street, we were shown our rooms at another building about 100 meters away. It was an apart hotel, so had everything from a dishwasher to a fully stocked kitchen. But it was also right next to a club, so wasn't quiet. The bottom floor rooms which there are two of, are especially loud since the door to the hotel is missing two windows.
We were directed to a serviced apartment in an adjoining street rather than the main hotel building. This actually had advantages. It was spacious & had a washing machine & microwave.
I had a great time at Hotel Porto Rico and would come again!!!Its no Luxus but Its ok for simple traveler! The staff was friendly and helpful. On Weekend its noisy outside. You need good earplugs!Everthing is clean!Short walks to the Bridge!Obrigada!

Great Location. Lots of Great places to eat and see.
Single female guest. I went downstairs to get a coffee the first morning as a kettle etc was not included in my room. I was helped by a member of staff to get a coffee before the breakfast opened.
