My husband and I had been planning this trip to Dublin for quite some time. And when we found this beautiful boutique hotel online, we were so excited. As soon as we arrived And checked in, there was a lot going on in the lobby area, so it was a little overwhelming. We saw a lady at the desk, but we weren’t sure that she actually worked there because she didn’t greet us. Didn’t even look our way. It seemed like she had a general disinterest or disdain for us being there. I asked, “Is this the front desk to the hotel?” To which she responded in a monotone voice, “Yes.” I was shocked that this was the first impression of the hotel that we were getting. What made it worse was that my husband was told that we needed to put a card on hold and he proceeded to tap his card thinking that it was like all the other places we had been to in Ireland. But it didn’t work. Several times he tapped it and it showed nothing. He asked the lady, “does your tap work? Do you have tap?” To which she replied a curt, “no.” Mind you, she was standing there the entire time and could see the entire situation. This interaction was such a bummer, and this made our short trip to Dublin feel a little sour.
To be honest, not all of the stuff was like that morning. We woke up to get a coffee downstairs, and the gentleman that works at the coffee bar was very warm. A young Spanish speaking man. He was absolutely amazing; patient and willing to answer any questions About the items on the menu And the different pastries available.
Overall, the hotel was a mixed bag. It had a very chic vibe but outside of that lovely gentleman, their customer service can definitely improve!

Great hotel with excellent customer service and amazing amenities. Within walking distance f may attractions and restaurants/bars

The hotel was really beautiful, the decor is lovely and the bed was extremely comfortable. The rooms weren’t huge but they were very well decorated and had everything we needed. The only slight issue was that the water in both the shower and the sink didn’t drain properly, so the shower was flooding and leaving water all over the floor. The hotel bar and coffee shop was great and everything is within walking distance of Temple Bar or easily accessible buses. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely hotel. Our room was very small, i knew it was a cosy room but a little too cosy.

The staff were lovely and the main areas of the hotel were gorgeous. Great location.
Unfortunately, there was a big open vent in our room that was dusty and letting in a draft and noise. There was also some dust in the bathroom. Not much toilet roll and very noisy at night. The room was very small, too and didn’t feel worth the price unfortunately which is a shame because the hotel itself was beautiful and everyone was kind and helpful.

Staff was great and the location was good. The only reason this gets such a low score is that the shower did not drain. I informed the front desk, but the problem was not resolved.

Rooms very small but workable.
On 5th floor with restaurant above noise woke me from 7am.
Staff very friendly
Breakfast was excellent 10/10

The Mayson was in a good part of Dublin, just around 20 minutes away from "central" Dublin. You could easily walk to the city centre, but I found the buses to be easily navigable. The room I stayed in was pretty clean, but I noticed lots of dust on the floor, which wasn't a big issue. It might have just been the time that I was staying there, but I could hear a lot from outside of the hotel and inside as well. However, I would come back despite these minor things.

If I could give zero stars I would. Disgusting. Everything and everywhere is sticky. The cocktails are undrinkable and the food inedible. Website makes it look like it is something...its not. Avoid at all costs.

Great spot for a 3Arena gig! Before and after the craic is 90! Blasting out the tunes to get you in the mood! Look out out for Donegal Seán, pours a serious pint! ?

Perfect for after gig, chilled out, 2 bars, good smoking area, what else do you want??
12.02.2017 John-Paul
Good food, friendly staff.
Only found this place because we were looking for a spot for some grub and a pint before going to the 3 Arena. Simple menu, but food was good. Plenty of screens to watch the matches. I'd imagine this would be very quiet when there is nothing on in the 3 Arena, but will be back the next time we are going to a concert or some such event.

Great atmosphere here. A great spot to meet before a gig at the 3 Arena. They do some basic but nice food. They could do with some more GF options though.
