Clean rooms and nice location. No front desk so make sure you phone ahead to get the key safe code. Simple but perfect for a quick few nights.

Booked 1 night, stayed 4 😊 Simple rooms, but all clean and comfortable. Excellent shower with great hot water pressure. Beautiful rooftop with stunning views. Wonderfully peaceful at night, slept so well. Location perfect + such good value for money

Not a great hotel for solo travelers but imagine it would be very similar of travelling with more than one person. To be transparent, I experienced the following and saw other reviews on the same, though I'm surprised there aren't more reviews like this:

1. No physical presence staff to help check in or to support you. I was very confused when I arrived at the hotel. No staff whatsoever at the counter. Appreciate I arrived at night but the booking said check in is possible until 10.30. I got inside and thought I was stranded. No person in sight, nothing in English, everything in Spanish. The lights were off at the reception too. After about 15 mins, another guest told me I needed to call the hotel. I tried to call the hotel after a few failed attempts as again, nothing was in English and there were a bunch of what looked like telephone numbers stuck on the counter. I tried them all, only one worked. They eventually told me to just go to my room number which they confirmed and said my key was there. There was no check in, no check if my passport, nothing. Just told to go to my room. Doesn't fill me with confidence on how they are checking guests who come. All I had to provide down the phone was my name.

The next morning, there was still no staff presence at the counter.

By night, there was still no staff presence at all. At this point and to this day, I still don't know whether this is actually a self serve hotel or not as I've seen 0 staff over a few days...At night, I was looking for information on WiFi as I could not see this anywhere. Not at the reception, not in my room. I've been using my mobile data abroad this whole time. I asked another guest if they knew anything about WiFi, they said no, they couldn't find information on it although the hotel says it is available on the booking. I tried to call the hotel again, they said details are in the kitchen. They weren't when I went to check.

I wandered around the floor until I found it stuck on a side corridor. How on earth are we meant to intuitively find that?? The WiFi was then quite slow.

2. No AC and it's very hot in the room. Only a fan which fails to distribute heat across the room, it's concentrated in one small area, so I had to move it right in front of my bed, facing me, to sleep

3. Mosquitoes. Not sure how many there are, but I've been bitten a lot in my room. I try and spray deet anytime in my the room and to sleep. I try to wear long trousers and long sleeves to sleep

Would not recommend. Only good thing is it's very central in the old town and the kitchen is decent, but there are other hotels in this location which I'm sure can do better.
