Son Corb Boutique Hotel in Cala Bona

We stayed at Son Corb Boutique Hotel in Cala Bona during mid to late September, slightly outside the peak holiday season. The hotel’s location is lovely—nestled in a quiet area yet conveniently close to the beach and nearby attractions.

The peaceful atmosphere was one of the highlights of our stay, though we did notice some noise from nearby beach hotels on certain evenings, with bass-heavy entertainment audible in our room. This wasn’t a deal-breaker, but worth noting if you're looking for complete tranquility.

The staff was exceptional—extremely friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. They made us feel welcome throughout our stay. However, the hotel itself is showing its age. While its aged charm gives it character, the smell in the hallways and rooms felt a bit outdated. Opening the windows helped, but they were often closed again despite the pleasant temperatures outside. The wardrobe in our room had a musty, old smell, which discouraged us from hanging up our clothes.

Upon arrival, we did have to wait around 30 minutes for someone to assist with check-in, which was slightly inconvenient. However, dinner was a highlight! We were the only guests who opted for dinner one evening and enjoyed a personalized one-on-one service. The meal was outstanding in quality, though there was a slight mismatch in expectations—the menu mentioned grilled fish, but we were served battered and deep-fried fish. Despite this, the 4-course meal was exceptional and unbeatable for the price (25 EUR, excluding drinks), far more reasonable than many local restaurants.

The pool area was very generous in size, and during our stay, it was almost entirely ours in the mornings. We didn’t have to deal with the usual early-morning towel reservation rush that plagues many other hotels on the island, which was a huge plus.

While we didn’t make use of the free bike rental, it’s great to know that it's available. The beach is only a 5-minute drive away, and several excellent hiking areas are within a 30-45 minute drive, which made it an excellent base for exploring the area.

Overall, Son Corb Boutique Hotel is a charming, slightly dated property that offers a peaceful escape, especially in the off-season. If you’re after a quiet, relaxing stay and don’t mind a few quirks from the aging property, this could be a great choice

Truly lovely and charming hotel with very friendly staff, thorough cleaning, and an absolutely fantastic breakfast. We chose this hotel because we wanted a week of peace and relaxation, and it completely lived up to our expectations – and even more.

We absolutely loved our stay at Son Corb Hotel! It's a lovely and peaceful hotel, away from all the busyness of the sea front (but easy reachable if you want to!). The staff is super friendly, the room has everything you need, there's an extensive breakfast, free use of bicycles and the most relaxing pool area! We could not have asked for a better hotel to enjoy our holiday at, and I look forward to coming back here!

I had a really difficult criteria to meet for my mallorca trip. I wanted to experience a finca. A lot of the finca’s are very expensive and I needed one that’s affordable. And I also don’t drive so wanted it to be walkable to a beach. Most are in very remote locations. I researched a lot but this was one of the only fincas that met all of that!

Pros:
- Walkable to cala bona harbour and cala millor beach but still feels rural and quiet
- Free bike hire - amazing! We used it everyday
- Comfortable and clean rooms. Fluffy clean towels, clean bedding.
- Tasteful country house decor, amazing aesthetically, I don’t the pictures necessarily do it justice.
- Really quiet, we went early June and it felt super quiet, the pool area wasn’t busy it all. More than enough sun loungers
- Large clean pool
- Friendly staff - shoutout to Andrew and Isabel! Both very kind and took amazing care of us
- They upgraded us and gave us a free wine and fruit platter

Minor cons:
- No lock on the bathroom door, again minor but worth mentioning
- Pool isn’t heated, little bit chilly in late may/early June.
- AC is a little bit weak. I’m not sure if we were using it wrong but it felt like quite an old AC system. Luckily it wasn’t too hot when we visited, only 24/25 degrees

I would highly recommend this finca for the quiet rural farmlike experience but near a beach.

Another beautiful and relaxing holiday at the Son Corb Hotel. The location is so peaceful and the staff are always so friendly and polite. Sat at Palma Airport awaiting our delayed flight home and yet still chilled out reading a good book and enjoying the last few hours of the Mallorcan sun and air. #Inmyelement. Cxxx
