great location, friendly staff, good value for money but needs some renovations soon!

Large room, good location for the purpose of trip

I had two bookings and only stayed one night before going to another hotel for two nights, then returned for three more nights under the other booking. This one night stay was fine, but I have some complaints about the all inclusive upgrade on my second booking, but that is for that review. It’s not worth it. Great one nighter though.

Overall a great hotel with very good facilities. Staff were always very helpful with great communication.

Just a couple of points to improve the experience at the hotel.

It would be good to have the beach bar open later until sunset, or even as an evening option as the lobby bar decor and layout lacks atmosphere.

There needs to be more staff at the lobby bar, or another bar for the evening. The queues are too long in the evening.

Obviously more staff could mean higher price but it would be worth it.

Please place more sand in the beach volleyball court. It is too hard.

We had a really good stay at the hotel this week to start with. There were some cons but let's start with the pros.
The hotel is really spacious and has a lot of things you can do. There are 3-4 pools , golf court,tennis courts, children rooms for entertainment, bars and so on. The room we were in was relatively clean and spacious and had almost everything (but not bedstands) you'll need. They clean it everyday and change towels. The staff was quite friendly. There was a lot of choice and variety when it came to the food(and I'm a vegetarian). There are vending machines inside the hotel with snacks ,drinks and medicine so if you're in need of something late at night it's a good option. The pools were clean with good water temperature and there were animators that offered different kind of entertainment if you're into that. Also the beach was private.
Now for the cons. The food (though there was a big variety) was really underseasoned/bland and taste-wise there could be an improvement. The location of the hotel is really not good. It's located between Estepona and Marbella so if you want to go on a walk its a 30-50 minute bus drive from there. The beach itself was not good or well maintained. The water was really cold(yeah I know that's not the hotels fault) and the beach was obviously artificial. So if you're going with the purpose of being on the sea ,you may want to look up other hotels. 😬The rooms while they were relatively clean weren't vacuumed just moped. That really needs to be changed!! And last but not least - some nights it can get very LOUD because of some tourists and hotel does nothing in spite of that. The isolation between the rooms is not good and the joinery was really bad so my advice is to bring ear plugs!

Fantastic stay at the Sol Marbella Estepona - Atalaya Park
Service was brilliant, food was fantastic. Great area around the swimming pools. Large open grounds. All inclusive drinks were great. Only 1 issue, No Bloody Mary cocktails on the All inclusive, you have to pay for it, but you can get a Vodka and Tomato juice, which is 99% the cost of a Bloody Mary 🙈 overall we had a great stay, rooms were fab.

Just came back from a short break with my daughters and we had the best time. The location isn't ideal if you want to get out and about but we just wanted somewhere to relax, swim and have fun so it was perfect for that.
The food options were great, some of the best I've experienced as a vegetarian at an all inclusive. Everything was well labelled too.
The entertainment team are fantastic and work so hard. My girls did some kids club activities and had great fun and the extra pool activities were fantastic. We loved The Greatest Showman show!
The pools in general are lovely, though some of the sun loungers could do with a clean. My kids loved the splash park.
We were also impressed by the accessibility of the hotel.
The rooms were clean and we had a lovely a view.
Sadly I didn't catch the name of the man on reception who checked us in but when we arrived dreary after delays at nearly 4am his friendly greeting and speedy service was so appreciated and reassured us we had made a great choice.
We will definitely be back for a longer visit next year!

Very enjoyable stay
