Mett Hotel & Beach Resort Marbella in Estepona

Bad in fact totally unfriendly staff, unwilling to bend a little. We went there rice a day for coffees and the odd occasion to eat. Not good for food, expensive and no flavour.
I asked for a side salad with a meal, we don't do it I was told. Only large salads ( another full meal) no extra chip portions either. Totally unfriendly staff , the owner was around also, he knew us from going there, never a hello, or a smile, miserable little man. Coffees next time that will be it.

I thought the food in this place was poor. £22 for a steak and chips. Nothing else. Felt starving afterwards and as I was eating the fillet steak, it tasted flavourless. Mussels were good starter. No choices for children, so had to order chicken and chips. Again. No flavour. Don't waste your money. Head for somewhere more authentic.

Some positives -very nice gambas pil pil, huge swordfish, and a delicious brownie, yet we experienced some very unpleasant service. Asked for a steak medium/medium rare and when it came it was very tough, way too overcooked. I sent it away and shared my wife's swordfish. No apologies from the staff nor offer to rectify this (quite common in Spain -I have been living in Madrid 15 years), then when I brought it up while paying the bill the owner was very aggressive and defensive, claiming that I had eaten practically all of it (a lie), the meat was fine (it certainly wasn't), and repeatedly telling me his other customers don't complain (irrelevant). He told me to the pay the bill or he would call the police before very begrudgingly taking €5 off our €40 bill. While prpcessing my card payment he muttered insults under his breath. I am being generous with 2 stars because some of the food was genuinely nice, but I was nor treated with any respect and effectively called a liar.
