Hotel Safari in GANDIA

I would have given 1 star but the receptionist was very kind and helpful.
The food particularly breakfast is cold, dry and left out for such a short window that breakfast is served (about 1hr 45mins). Just to note we went for breakfast as it opened at 8:30. Plates and cups were dirty. Fresh juice machine is a sickly cordial not fresh fruit juice.
Bedroom is not as appeared online, incredibly outdated and a lot smaller in person. Room even has a glass from a past stayer showing how much of a “deep clean” it receives. Balcony is a safety hazard, the railing is not secure. Bathroom decent but has a shower curtain which is unhygienic. Safe needs a key which isn’t automatically provided is something that needs to be asked for. Overall wouldn’t stay here again. Only plus is that it is near other food places to escape food here and near the beach. Looks better online don’t be fooled.

We took three elderly people to that hotel with great excitement. We booked two rooms at the last minute, so although disappointed, we could understand them being given rooms on the first floor facing the wall of another building (about three meters from the balcony), specifically rooms 115 and 113. What is unacceptable is that the balcony of room 115 had a permanent puddle because water was literally dripping from the air conditioner in the room above, and it also flooded the balcony of room 117. We mentioned it as soon as we saw it, but according to my family, nothing was done in three days. That accumulated water, combined with the poor ventilation due to the wall next to the balcony, makes that room potentially unhealthy for people with respiratory or similar conditions. It's a shame, because the staff were very friendly, the facilities and the pool were fine, and from what I heard, the food was basic but acceptable. So I don't understand how a hotel continues to provide rooms (I assume the worst ones, for those who are just passing through) that clearly should be closed until they fix the air conditioning. They requested a change but couldn't get one because they had already booked all their reservations. So if you go and they give you rooms on the first floor, make sure they're not the odd-numbered ones, as those face the wall, and keep bothering them until someone from maintenance fixes what needs fixing. A real shame.

Quadruple room without a balcony, with a large window with a broken blind. Acceptable buffet, but limited variety. The pool is fairly large but very deep; you can barely stand in the shallow end.
