Nou Rocamar in Sant Carles de la Rapita

Very unfriendly staff, I have never been treated in such a rude way. As soon as we arrived the man at the reception treated us in a very unpleasant way. The blinds in the room didn't work, and we couldn't open them. My friend is allergic to dogs and as soon as we entered the room she started having a very strong reaction so we asked the man at the reception, who was not the man in charge, but someone who didn't speak Spanish, if there were dogs in the hotel and he called the owner and said there were no dogs on our floor, which was obviously not true because my friend was feeling very bad. In the end we had to leave the place and find a new hotel at 10pm with 3 kids. We called the owner and he obviously didn't offer a refund.
The place is VERY EXPENSIVE for what it is.

Had to wait for check-in 15 min. The bathroom was stinking so much I almost threw up and it wasn't possible to open the window. I was seriously thinking about leaving and sleep in my car instead. And on top of it I had to pay extra for my dog. I'm sorry for giving this rating, but it was a really bad experience.

The room itself is okay for the price, but the attitude of the staff is horrendous. There was nobody at reception when we arrived and waited 40 minutes for to be seen. When the man arrived, he was immediately irritable and standoffish. Despite our booking saying pets were free, he insisted we pay extra for our dog. We promptly paid, but he didn't have change. He gave no receipt and promised to give us the money he owed us. He continued to mutter curse words in Spanish the entire time we dealt with him. Furthermore, we paid for a larger room but he told us something to the effect of - I don't want to see the extra beds touched. Never before have I been told not to use facilties in a room.that I paid for. What hotel does that? Once he finished with his cursing and stressing, he said - welcome! What a joke! After 18 months travelling the world, this was easily the worst welcome we'd ever had at a hotel. The only reason to stay here is because its cheap. A stay ruined by a rude and arrogant staff member. Oh, and we never got our change!
